A running joke with my friends is that I have 10 plus grocery stores in my rotation, and it's true. I love grocery shopping and hit the speciality grocery store circuit (Asian, Indian, Italian, etc.), but Lunds & Byerlys (and especially this location) is my "go to" grocery store. They have a great meat selection with a butcher that knows what he is doing. Their produce is always fresh and they also have a great cheese selection in the deli area. I live on their BOGO deals that they offer weekly. My "go to" place and very clean! read more

Over priced overrated. 1lb for $12 you might as well go dig food out of the back dumpsters and have a more satisfying meal. Food is soggy and been sitting out for god knows how long. And make sure to get it on the dot, 1.02 lb means a $2 charge and they don't bother putting a scale next to the food. Terrible. read more

Lunds easily has the best selection and quality of meats, I think it's on par with a proper meat market. The staff is helpful and answered all of my questions about the products. It's clean, bright, and its never too crowded, which is the plight of shopping in general. read more

It's a fancy store in the luxurious area. What do you expect! They have hand sanitizers, they have toilet paper's, they have Colgate peroxil mouthwash which is highly recommended by the ADA during this pandemic. The prices are slightly above average but presentation and decoration are luxurious. If you have many bags, automatically the baggers will take it to your car. I believe no tip is given. All employees wear company dress and are Very helpful. Always ready to come and ask you if you need any help. Ample parking. Great location: safe in and out. Great stores around it. I have shopped for quality over 30 years at Lunds Byerleys. Love the stores, however, the deli prices are out of control!

Out for a drive in the burbs, add in a screaming baby and a lack of baby food pouches in the car equals a trip the the L&B in Wayzata. I've never been to an L&B before, but it is obviously a very nice supermarket. I mean even the aisles were carpeted! Since I had never been there before, I had no idea where to find baby food. I asked a couple of people and they were very helpful in directing me to the right place to find what I need. I only came to get a couple of pouches, but in my haste to get through, I did notice how nice the selection of food and the quality of meat and produce here. I am sure if I lived in Wayzata, I would be shopping here regularly. read more

I have had very good experiences with staff at this particular Lunds. Very friendly folks. Just a heads up on the panhandling occurring within the store. Which also happened to me a few days prior at Whole Foods in Plymouth. This is a scam. Women approach customers in the aisles asking for money. Plz do not encourage panhandlers by giving them money for the groceries in their carts. They later ditch the cart & take off from the store, no purchases made. This is the info I got from employees who are seeing a rise in such activity. Ditched carts, full of perishable items only leads to higher food prices for everyone. read more

Our go-to grocery store for higher-end items. Customer service is first-rate, with dedicated baggers who will also help you out to the car (not that I've ever used them, as I'm not *that* old yet). Their BOGO sales can be pretty attractive. Very high quality meats, seafood, vegetables and fruits that are nicely presented and well-organized. Parking is usually pretty easy except during peak times, when the lot can get a bit busy. read more

We are seriously blessed with the calibur of grocery stores in the Metro area. Seriously. From Byerly's, (who doesn't love the drive through grocery pickup) and Lunds to Kowalskis and the numerous co-ops, there really is no shortage of superior grocery shopping. I rarely visit a Lunds anymore. It just not that convenient. Uptown is the closest one near me but I pass Whole Foods on the way both when driving and biking on the Greenway. Byerlys is about a mile a way as well. And in general, I think this Lunds location is lacking. But, I have to say that the Lunds in Wayzata is top notch. They have a fabulous deli/prepared foods/bakery area and it is not uncommon for me to leave completely satiated thanks to the generous samplings. very generous. in one stop i've nibbled sushi, deli sandwiches, brownie bites, cheese, fresh fruit, ribs, and artichoke dip. if only they'd been sampling beverages as well. They bring the groceries to your car as well. read more

I only wish we had a Lunds in Nebraska! I'm a food fan and this is a great place to visit if this your kind of thing. Lots of local foods and jams, jellies, spices, sauces, local, yummy goodness to stock up on or take home for gift baskets. I had never heard of Lunds before but after scarfing down a yummy brat at my friend's Minneapolis home, I had to stop and pick some up before making the long drive home. I ended up spending about $65 on goodies to bring home, including Nut Goodie bars (made in St. Paul), wine jam, wild rice, wild rice seasoning, brats, wild rice summer sausage and 100% maple syrup. The best part of all was the customer service. I asked one employee if he had any suggestions for local things and he directed me to a whole section and then, he'd come find me because he'd think of something else. He shared stories of his childhood and what he remembers eating and each time he saw me (yes I'm one of THOSE annoying shoppers) he asked if I was finding everything alright. I also ran into at least two other employees (a young stocker and a cashier) and both were extremely nice, held a conversation with me, very polite and helpful. Great place! If/when I return to the Twin Cities, I'll make sure to at least stop into a Lundz to stock up on some local items and see what's new. When I make sushi for my family, this is where I buy the ingredients. Warm smoked salmon, cold smoked salmon, crab legs, smoked white fish, jalapeño peppers, red peppers, egg, seaweed, wasabi, soy sauce, toasted sesame oil, chipotle pepper, pickled ginger, garlic and green onions. It is a one stop shop. Google "Sushi, no raw fish here" for my recipe. The Key Lime Pie is a must buy too! They have a nice selection of beer, Founders beer, Dirty Bastard is very good. Just came home and all the meat I purchased was not in the bags. I called them to tell them, no apology, just a "Well, do you have a receipt?". I did. They said I could come in and they'd take care of it for me. Now, if they were truly service-minded, they would have offered to deliver it to me since it was their mistake. Nope. I bought groceries on the way to dinner on the way to a book signing. I like comparing the different Lunds and this is a favorite. It isn't cramped here. They have a phenomenal seafood section. One area has 3 shrimp items that are self serve. One being a shrimp mac salad, omg. I picked up a few other seafood salads at the deli, that just are so beautifully laid out. They had a bogo on fresh soups, the Legal Seafood brand. I got a clam chowder, although much better than canned, the star was the shrimp and corn chowder. They also have a lobster bisque that I didn't get. Following the flyer, I picked up a couple of corned beefs to freeze. I've only seen these in March before the St. Patrick's Day holiday. There was a sale on coke, and what do I see, but my favorite local brand of Killebrew rootbeer in the aluminum bottles. They have cream soda too. I spotted the peanut butter I needed at the end of an aisle, that I almost forgot. The bag lad gave me perfect directions to our destination. I was almost tempted to go to the Big Bowl right next to Lunds, that was close. When I'm in Wayzata, I will definitely make a shopping trip first. read more

Quality stuff here folks. I walked in and within minutes, was lured by the wafting scents of the bakery, of which I bought two nice and fresh pastries that were phenomenal. Another odd but cool thing I liked about this store was the selection and variety of BBQ sauces! Not sure I'd do my weekly shopping here but for a higher end market with those certain specialties you're looking for, this is the place. read more

I have been a huge Lunds customer over the years. Today, I stopped to pick up a few items. I went by the meat counter and they actually had some decent specials. But i could not get served in the meat department. I would have easily bought 300-400 dollars in meat. The first butcher was helping some guy that was buying two lamb chops, trimming them and talking to the guy for 10 mins. Then the other guy that was doing something, in the meat case behind me. Then a customer walks up and inquires about bratwurst, the second guy helps her. Very rude and wasted 10 minutes of my time. They have convinced me on how they don't want my business. The service is great here, and the selection is even better. The staff is always polite and knowledgable, better yet they've got such a variety of a lot of products. The store may not be as large as some other local grocers, but I find they always have what I need, even if its not so common. Can't be the help out to your car after an overzealous trip for that Summer blowout. read more

Lunds used to be better. You can tell that they are short staffed and also tell that they have inventory problems when there is an item Missing for multiple days with multiple items in the store. This store never fails to disappoint because they are always out of something. The staff is friendly though. read more

This place is usually a zoo and very overpriced, I now go to Harvest Moon Co-op in Long Lake instead. If I am going to pay top dollar for the same stuff you can get at Cub Foods I shouldnt have to wait in line while the Managers are standing around staring at the 2 cashiers they have open.
