I did not purchase from them. Called twice. First time wife spoke to them after a recommendation from someone pre Covid era. When you drop a few thousand on a dog and have two GS already your a serious buyer. Their website says schedule a visit. Now the policy they put rather rudely is no visit. Pick the dog from pictures? So your adding a family member but you don't get to interact with them? They said it was because of covid and to many family thinking it was a petting zoo days. I get that. I said we'd bring a deposit. She said 'I don't care who your are...'. I stopped her and said ma'am. Thank you I've heard enough.' And hung up. My review is not based on a purchase. So a little unfair. But based on merely trying. They much have such a demand they can treat customers anyway they choose. We would've worn masks. Limit to 5 min. Viewing only. Anything really to compromise. Nope. Dead stop. This is what makes the world ugly. A few bad apples and people choose to take the easy route and just say no. At over three grand a dog they should realize these type of people dont online shop a dog. Best of luck to you and your dog search. I choose to put my 4$ toward polite and understanding people. F-em. We got our puppy from Linda 3 months ago and he is doing great! Everything we could ask for from a German Shepherd puppy. Our vet checked him out and judged him to be in fine condition! As a German Shepherd owner find out a trustworthy boarding kennel in local is difficult. Dogvacay won't work. I used to send my dog to Adlerstein.com in Santa Clarita while I lived in Woodland Hills. But drive from Walnut to Saugus is way too far for me after I moved to Walnut. I went online and found three GSD breeders in Orange County and Riverside area. Lundborg-Land GSD, Thin Schmidt and Rhineland. I heard a lot of good things about Linda in Lundborg-Land GSD back to about 7 years ago. So I called Linda and scheduled drop my dog in her kennel. Linda is such a nice lady and would love to answer all your questions you may have. I boarded my dog 5 days over there and my dog looked very happy. The individual kennel is clean but it is slightly small when compare to Anne Kent kennel but that's fine. Linda's kennel is the only place that I would send my dog to stay in OC and Riverside area. Spoke to Linda a few times about a puppy after all if you look at all of the lines these dogs come from are the top cream of the crop. She invited me to tour the property and see the parents of puppy we were considering. OMG talk about a beautiful location so clean and peaceful out on her property, all the dogs were so well taken care of. She gave me a complete tour of the dogs and even saw a few puppies true German lines they were a sight for sore eyes if you are a dog lover like me. We were looking for a good family dog also with good protection abilities. German shepherds are pretty much the only breed of choice. Being first time dog owners, it was difficult to find a dog with combination of calmness yet aggressive enough for protection, and on top of this, we wanted a black and red dog. We were lucky to have found Lundbord Land kennels! Linda sold us Shico, and he met all of the above and more: 1) At home, he is like a sweetheart, kids ranging from 2 - 10 years old play with him like he is a big puppy. 2) At the vet, he is praised as the most mellow german shepherd the vet has ever seen. 3) At protection training, he is praised to have incredible bite work and "not at all a softdog". 4) On walks, he is a head-turner and people would comment on how beautiful he is. Set in a beautiful hidden area, Lundborg-land is a paradise on earth for humans and dogs. The male shelters were roomy and private. The female and puppy shelters were like little condos. On January 24, 2016 I was set out on getting my first puppy. I did all the research and Lundborg Land was by-far the most reputable. Anyways, back to the story... Linda is was super nice and welcoming and she definitely knew about her German Shepherds. We were tied between two dogs. Anju the one year old and the Arrex x Ussi puppy. We asked Linda for her advice and she told us that Anju was more shy but would eventually open up. Having had a shy dog before we knew it would take more time and work for the dog to open up and we felt our husky wouldn't help with that process. So we got the female 8 week old puppy. It was funny, Linda knew this puppy so well she told us she would be a stubborn one. Boy, was she right! My Briggy beats to her own drum. I don't exactly remember the price but it was on the higher end. But remember you're paying for quality. Linda gave very helpful advice on raising Briggy, and we also found out that she offers boarding too! We haven't used the boarding because we live fairly far. But I can only expect the best care. My family and I visited Lundborg Land Kennels on November 28th, 2015. We narrowed our interest in three southern California German Shepherd breeders, Lundborg Land being one of them. After visiting this Kennel and meeting Linda, the owner/breeder, my wife and I were just in awe at 1. the hard work into the complex, love for dogs, and compassion/dedication for the breed. The premises is tucked away in the mountains and the male dogs are kept in roomy barns, while moms and pups are kept in whelping rooms in their own private areas as big as some peoples homes. 2. Linda's dogs are just amazingly beautiful and well cared for, these GSD's are the type you see on national calendars representing the beauty of this breed. 3. Linda just seems like a carting person and genuinely loves the breed and specifically her dogs. This is apparent not by what she says, but by the dedication she puts into the place and her dogs. You can tell their is quality based on the hard work that has been placed into her home and kennel. After visiting other Breeders, my wife and I easily decided that our future family member was coming from Lundborg Land German Shepherds. We decided to deposit on the Arrex & Ussi Litter. I am writing this review because my wife and I spent a month going through different breeders in southern and northern California. Our goal was to purchase a dog from a Reputable breeder who provides the best atmosphere for a family dog from the time it is born to the time it leaves the kennel. After an exhausting month and physically visiting multiple kennels, this by far was bar none the best place. Third time's a charm!! My family and I visited Linda's kennels after visiting other two reputable breeders that we found at the top of the Goggle list. After visiting Lundborg-Land, it was clear who the winner was and by far too!! Her kennels sits on a sprawling, gorgeous, 80 + acreage or GSD heaven land!! She even took us in late on a Sunday evening to come and visit! Upon our arrival (we were incredibly blown away when reaching her gate), she greeted us and we hopped onto her off-road vehicle to tour her premises. Impressive!! Each of her GSD's were AMAZINGLY GORGEOUS!! My husband and I looked at each other thinking we couldn't possibly afford her dogs and in my mind, I made it a point to not get attached to any puppy I met that day. Lo' and behold, her pups were in our price range, the top end! But like the saying goes, you get what you pay for! In our case, we purchased our new family member, Bravo, and he's been amazing! Smart, awesome temperament, beautiful markings, awesome stance at such a young age, and is quite the head turner! We just received our AKC certificate and 4th generation pedigree, along with copies of his parent's hip and elbow certificates! Linda offers incredible service and it goes even beyond the date of purchase. We had been in contact since we bought Bravo and are welcome to her kennels at any time! Any time we'll be away on vacation, we will be entrusting his care with Linda instead of choosing our family members to puppysit him. In 2007 We found the Lundborg-Land ranch and went for a visit with the intention to just look, but that day we found our best friend. Our Sheba was so much a part of our family and life. She accompanied us everywhere. Motor home trips, car road trips, to the store, on our ministries. She loved people, animals, anything with a heartbeat. During her life time I've had to contact Linda. Our Sheba would not eat out of her metal bowl. No one could really help and we tried everything. My husband finally said she may not like that bowl. I replaced it with a pottery bowl and we never had to hand feed her again. There are so many stories we could tell. We recently had to say goodbye to our friend, but she lived 12 1/2 glorious years. Visited this kennel about a year ago, but had to write a review. If you are looking for quality German Shepherds, this is a great place to start. This kennel has so much land and acreage, you will be amazed. The owner came out to greet us and provided us with a tour. She was very friendly, professional and personable. The quality of dogs she breeds are very high and yes, they are not cheap but remember you get what you pay for. For those wanting a high functioning dog or just love German Shepherds, consider coming here. Lundborg has been around for nearly 20 years. The dogs are top quality, working AKC dogs with good health. If you are looking for a ready to go trained adult male/female, I would give this place a call. Although we did not buy from here, I was very impressed with the operation and the quality of her dogs. Next time, I would consider re-visiting this kennel as a potential client. read more

This is an update on my review written on 4/12/2019. I took our puppy from Lundborg-Land to the High Sierras, Valkyrie is 7 months old now, she contracted Giardia, a parasite causing diarrhea from contaminated water. I called Linda, she diagnosed the problem over the phone, the veterinarian took blood sample and also a stool sample. Linda is so knowledgeable, not only did she diagnose the Giardia, she also was spot on in telling me the medication and the dosage that the veterinarian would probably prescribe. Once again she was spot on. Linda has been diligent with following up, and taking my phone calls, calling me back as late as 8 o'clock at night and genuinely concerned about the health of our dog. She has been such a resource throughout the whole process, I could not have asked for a more professional and genuine individual as a breeder. Linda is always Quick to answer the phone and always calls us back immediately when she can't answer the phone. I cannot believe her dedication to the breed and her puppies. CAUTION! Had a one of their German Shepard's BITE my 7yr son in the head! We purchased a puppy from them last year and had several issues with our puppy being mouthy, nipping and biting our kids. Spoke several times about our concerns of biting with Linda (Owner) and she advised its normal and will pass with time, she did say to try pinching the lip of the puppy when he bits or nips. We tried this without success, unfortunately. Our boy (German Shepard) grew up fast and was trained to sit, down, stay and come all with great confidence even under distraction. However a couple of days ago our German Shepard from Lundborg-Land bit my son in the head causing a puncture to his left temple that was bleeding. This was witnessed by my 18yr son that was with my youngest boy. They were not rough housing/play rough, when our Shepard trotted by them put his whole mouth over my 7yrs head and bit down causing the above injury. Terrified we put our 11 1/2 month old pup in his kennel. I called Linda and the conversation took a weird turn where she was almost blaming me and my family for not training our Shepard correctly, surprisingly she was never concerned about the Shepard she sold us or the injury to my son. We expressed our concern that we now have a very expensive German Shepard that we are terrified of and can't be trusted to be with our children (alway under supervision for good reason). She asked me what we think she should do, I said take the Shepard back (which is going to be super rough on our family because we have bonded with him over the last 11 months) and offer us a refund. She replied "we will take him back but we never give refunds". The conversation ended there, I texted her the next day, her response was, that again this is a training issue and not a temperament issue. Our family has owned several dogs including a German Shepard and have never had an issue like this ever! It also surprising that after spending so much money with a breeder, that has a training staff, she has never offered my family any type of refund or training at her facility so they could see and evaluate him (our german shepard). I have spoken with other breeders and they were all appalled that a German Shepard bit one of the children within its own family, and said there is something wrong with that Shepard (temperament). Just be aware that if you ever have an issue even when you have repeatedly expressed your concerns you will never get any sort of customer service, just brushed off and told you didn't do proper training or not enough exercise was provided(all false in this case). Their solution is not acceptable to my family, we will not wait for our Shepard to cause further injury to our children. Without a refund we don't have any funds to purchase a new Shepard from another breeder. So scary to have experienced this and so sad for this expensive breeder, BE CAUTIOUS! read more

We bought a gorgeous auburn/red and black puppy from Lundborg 5-1/2 yrs ago. She is very healthy, intelligent at 5 yrs old. She also is my certified hearing assistance dog. She has great hips and is well muscled. She has great temperament and she does her job of protecting beautifully. The facility is beautiful.
