Amazing dog rescue that really works at finding you the best match!! We found the best dog who fit right in with our family almost instantly! She is the sweetest, most loving, gentle and fun dog and has brought us endless joy and love in the last month since we've adopted her! I would recommend this dog rescue to anybody looking for the perfect addition to their family!

I honestly have nothing but great things to say! Yes the application process is very throughout but there is a reason for it. They really want to make sure their dogs get placed in the right home. So many people adopt with great intentions and then sometimes realize how much work it really is and want to return the dog. So I appreciated the application process. Kelly was so sweet and made everything so easy! You can tell the work she has put into the puppies she has. Our puppy was already potty pad trained and was on a sleep schedule, I cannot tell you how much that helped bringing our new family member home. We are still in contact with Kelly and send her pictures and tell her how in love we are with our new family member!

We adopted our sweet girl from iCare Dog Rescue December 16,2024 and it was the best day of our lives. She completed our family. The woman who was the foster mom and also who we met at the adoption event was amazing! You could tell how loved and well cared for our girl was! ICare is an amazing rescue who made the process so easy and they really do care about the home these animals go to. Thank you iCare Dog Rescue and all the Fosters for all you do! You're a blessing to this world and these sweet babes!

ICARE was great to work with after I heard from them. There was a waiting game initially but once our foster mom Kelly contacted me, she was great to work with and did an amazing job with the puppies. Their fees are reasonable and they ensure every dog is going to a great home. We are very pleased with the process after contact and hope to adopt again from them in the future!

Everyone is making each other happy

We are very happy with the communication we received when we initiated the inquiry to adopt one of the puppies listed on iCare's website. I even got a photo of the sire of our pup which is rare in the rescue world. Our one-time donation covered everything from shots to the sterilisation procedure at a close-by veterinarian. The foster family we got our pup from took excellent care of the pup until we came along to take him to his forever home. He is a very social dog whose only issue is that he loves everyone and everything too much. Our pup is signed up for more training classes to help him be the best dog he can be. Thank You iCare for saving his life and adding to our life!!

What an amazing rescue. They really do put the dogs well being first. I was lucky enough to help foster some dogs through the rescue. I now help with the adoption coordination. While we are all volunteers, we all work to ensure each dog matches up with the perfect family. They do not leave any dogs behind. They will help save dogs lives no matter the medical issues. I am so proud of this rescue and how much they care and help educate the importance of neutering and spaying dogs to help keep the numbers down in the shelters.

I had the absolute PLEASURE of working with Adoption Coordinator, Hannah. She was kind, thorough, and extremely helpful. I was coming out of a traumatic experience with my last rescue that resulted in having to rehome her for my safety. Hannah was so understanding and compassionate. I love that Hannah's first priority was and is finding the right home for each dog!! We applied for Sandoval a Boston terrier Chihuahua mix. When we had our interview with Hannah she advised us that he is very shy and his disposition may not be the best for our home and lifestyle. She told us about his sister Stassi. We chose Stassi. The entire process was fast, efficient, and focused on what was best for the dog (which meant the most to me). I would use I.C.A.R.E again in a heartbeat, and hopefully having the pleasure to work with Hannah again as she is an absolute delight!

I am so grateful for I CARE rescue. We had Binx for a little over a month now. He has adjusted so well and our other dog Sadie is so smitten with him. Hannah helped us find our perfect match and answered all our questions during the process.

We had a great experience with the entire adoption process! I feel extremely blessed to have met Jessica, Kerri, and Holly during the adoption process. They were all very responsive, set expectations, and so nice! We initially wanted to adopt a dog name Biscuit but we submitted the application too late and someone had already adopted him. Holly reached out and asked me what kind of dog we were looking for. After telling her what we were thinking, she told us that they might have a fur baby that they were going to post on their site soon. I sat on their page everyday, refreshing the page every hour because I didn't want to miss our chances again. Holly emailed me when they posted PopTart and we immediately fell in love with him. We picked up Poptart yesterday and he's the perfect dog for our family. THANK YOU ICARE rescue for rescuing, fostering, and helping these babies find their forever homes. I'm forever grateful for what you guys do.

I had a wonderful experience with ICARE Dog Rescue! The process was seamless and everyone involved communicated effectively. The process was also organized well. I had gone through a different rescue center prior to this and it was nightmare, so ICARE felt like a dream! After filling out an online application I was contacted the next day about the dog I inquired about and then also got in touch with the foster mom. The volunteers are so lovely and understanding! The events they put on are also wonderful and thoughtful. Maria and Rachel are such nice people and truly love what they do. I ended up adopting and rescuing my little Randall boy and I could not be any happier. :)

(I do understand and respect prioritizing the mental health of the cats, but I'm sure the cats, especially the adults, would prefer a compromise, like being required to fill out a one page form on the spot before meeting). Every serious adopter that goes into a pet store and sees one of this organization's animals that they are interested in adopting and is told they have to go through this and this and this step before they can even interact with the cat and know if the personality is a fit. Everyone loses out. In my experience, even if you do go through all the steps, they won't call you back, and a cat that could have had a home I know had that opportunity taken from them because of the seemingly righteous or superior attitude of the rescue people. They surely know how many people go in and out of those cat and kitten rooms at the Animal Friends of the Valley shelter. Having a few people go in one at a time to meet one particular cat, I don't feel, is any more dangerous or unhealthy for the cat than them losing the opportunity to be adopted and eventually being put down. I just don't understand rescues like this. If you're too small to actually help, then let somebody else do it.

Mindy provided a very personable, warm and extremely responsive service, made every effort to respond to my inquiry on Adopt-A-Pet and approving my application as well as just answering my questions and chatting with me about my potential cat baby's personality traits and his background story. She responded to emails as late as 11PM on a weekend and her demeanor was always welcoming and reassuring, like an old, caring friend. Mindy's words and actions convey that she truly truly love all of her rescued cat babies and she only wants what's best for them and she works extremely hard to find them good homes. I was very sad that neither cat babies from her rescue matched the particular personality I was looking for (I was trying to fill this big hole in my heart with the tragic loss of a stray cat named Cookie I cared for) and I really wished that given all the hard work she and her daughter put into, I'd adopt either Teddy or Khabib. Despite these big, affectionate sweet boys were not the best match I was searching for, I don't think any less of them, I sincerely hope they will find their forever home they deserve and I cannot be more grateful for Mindy's time, patience and understanding she's extended me and my family. If I had more capacity for an additional cat baby in the future after finding THE ONE, Mindy and her rescue is the first place I'd check out. If the veterinarians choose to employ such staff, I can't imagine that they are any better. TLDR: a receptionist named "Ann" yelled at me, insulted my intelligence, demeaned my credentials, and then HUNG UP ON ME for simply trying to report a vaccine reaction in two of my cats after being vaccinated there. I am a medical doctor (M.D.), and this can be easily verified. I only went for vaccines; I can't imagine bringing my pets here for actual medical care and advice, considering the lack of care and extremely poor guidance shown in this situation. FULL STORY: Three of my young and previously healthy cats (A, W, and S) were each vaccinated here on 7/25/26 with a single non-adjuvanted FVRCP vaccine, since I don't like to mix shots on the same date. Two of the three cats (W and S) are siblings, and W and S are currently having what is *possibly* a reaction to this vaccine. Emphasis on the *POSSIBILITY,* since we can't know for sure. S was under the weather for a couple of days and is now back to normal, but W had to go to the ER with a fever of 105.1 and remains in critical condition--he has refused to eat on his own for the past 5 days at the time of this review and still might not survive. At the ER, I got bloodwork, urinalysis, X-rays, ultrasound and administered fluids, so it was a $2k+ workup--which I gladly paid for--but with no clear answer as to why this is happening, I still might lose him. I am obviously very distraught about this. All three of my cats are strictly indoors. The ER vets and I concluded it was *possible* that since the vaccine the cats had received at Centennial contained a *MODIFIED LIVE VIRUS*--i.e., a virus that is alive, but has been altered to make it harder to cause infection, versus a killed/dead virus, where it would be impossible to cause infection--that W and S *COULD* have developed a mild/moderate form of one of the very diseases we were vaccinating against, calicivirus. W is now showing many of the signs and symptoms of an actual calicivirus infection, with no possible environmental exposure. Notably, A, W, and S have all been repeatedly vaccinated against FVRCP in the past with zero side effects with an adjuvanted, *KILLED VIRUS* vaccine (Elanco) by our regular vet. The shot given at Centennial (Vanguard, by Zoetis) was the first time they had ever received a non-adjuvanted, *MODIFIED LIVE VIRUS* FVRCP vaccine (I have owned W and S since birth and know their entire medical history). Bottom line: it is completely plausible that the *modified live virus* FVRCP vaccine happens to be problematic for W and S, and not A. It is *no one's fault* this is happening. Vaccine reactions happen, and it is just bad luck. So I simply called Centennial to report this. In no way did I blame them or accuse them. I just wanted to share the information, re-confirm which vaccine was given, and get the vaccine lot #/expiration date so I could also report this to the vaccine manufacturer so other animals could be helped (and Zoetis, by the way, was kind and professional when I did make the report). I would have thought that, as an establishment that provides medical care for animals, Centennial would be interested to hear what had happened to my cats, and at least offer a few concerned words of sympathy. I was completely wrong. As soon as I mentioned "vaccine reaction," the receptionist I spoke to--a RECEPTIONIST, so NOT a vet tech, and DEFINITELY not a vet--i.e., someone who is completely unqualified to make any type of medical judgment--immediately interrupted me to inisist it was "impossible" that my cats were having a vaccine reaction since I was calling about 10 days after they had been vaccinated. I tried to explain I was not referring to an immediate type I hypersensitivity allergic reaction, which, yes, would have occurred in the first 30 minutes or so. She would have realized that if she had let me continue speaking, which she didn't. She also mixed up which vaccines were given by Centennial and which at another vet, and refused to allow me to correct her, constantly talking over me. This is how the end of our conversation went: RECEPTIONIST, condescendingly: "There is no way your cat had a vaccine reaction." ME: "Well, I was actually reading online about..." (didn't get to finish my statement) RECEPTIONIST, sneering: "You can read online about whatever you want!" ME, firmly: "Ma'am, well, I'm actually also a medical doctor, so I was going to say that...." (didn't get to finish again) RECEPTIONIST, literally gloating with sarcasm: " I LOVE THAT. HAVE YOURSELF A NICE DAY." **Hangs up phone on me** ....not sure why she was so triggered. This place allows unqualified staff to berate clients and give out completely incorrect info. DO NOT support them. Please take your pets elsewhere!
