Have been here several times since we found this spot! Absolutely without a doubt our favorite sandwich spot around! Their food is always fresh and plentiful. I especially enjoy the pastrami Ruben while my husband really loves the tuna. However all of their food is wonderful, fresh and always served in generous portions. Beyond that the owners and staff could not be nicer. Definitely give this place a try. Guaranteed you will not be disappointed! Would give them more stars if possible! read more

Finally got a chance to stop by this place and see what it's about. Boy was I impressed! Not only was the owner/staff friendly and helpful, the place was super clean, the menu has lots of options, AND they deliver (did not know this!). My husband and I ordered the 1/2 super Italian and were amazed by the amount amount of meat on it right off the bat. I don't write reviews, but was so impressed I told the owner I definitely wanted to support him and my local business. He replied "not unless you like the sub after you try it". Well, we tried it and it's AWESOME. Not only the sheer size of the roll, the amount of meat on it, the freshness, but the flavor is excellent! No cheap cold cuts here.. can taste the smoky ham and prosciutto, the tomato and onion, the cheese... just awesome. If you want a sub that tastes like the subs you grew up eating (before they skimped on quality and quantity) you need to go here-you won't regret it! So happy they're in my neighborhood, we sure could use a place like this around here, and I can't wait to go back and try some more!! read more

Looks can be deceiving! Don't let the storefront deter you from coming in. The sandwiches are amazing! I had the turkey club sub and my fiancé had the super Italian sub. We both ordered half subs and when they came out was completely blown away by the size of the half portion. There was so much meat on my turkey sub that I had to take some off in order to take a bite. The bread was fresh and lots of lettuce and ripe tomatoes. We also got the coleslaw and potato salad which were excellent. If you are on route nine and looking for a great place to stop, don't drive past this joint.Pick up some sandwiches on your way to the beach. Do not order a grilled cheese from this place they use mayonnaise and only toast the bread and then added cheese. THE ABSOLUTE WORST "grilled cheese", if you can call it that, that I ever had. I couldn't even eat it. Then I called because I wanted them to actually make me what I ordered but they said "this is how we do our grilled cheese" and would not do anything about it. Will not be going back to this restaurant again!!! read more

I had learned of Lunch Box by chance when reading of local food places that were known primarily with the locals and found to be "hidden gems". The article I read spoke of the two gentlemen who opened Lunch Box. What there history was describing years of working as commercial fishermen, talking about a dream of being business owners, their inspiration and in taking a leap of faith one day successfully opened a quality deli together. I was intrigued but also truly happy that their dream had come to be thereby bringing me to find Lunch Box on this day. I spoke to the the owner behind the counter, my sharing what brought me there and discussion ensued of the menu, (everything, I mean everything homemade), their interest and involvement in the community. What a lovely experience and even better the food! I tried a variety of items and I will say the macaroni salad was delicious and the New England Clam Chowder was equally exceptional. Being a counselor in the community for the past almost 29 years it is wonderful to find and support our local businesses especially those like Lunch Box who bring to our neighborhood excellent food tasting of the owners pride in their work and joy the days now bring. The knowing of the involvement with our community and genuine caring for its members enhances the flavor with each bite. This is a great place for a sub sandwich! You can't believe the size of the sub. Hard to fit your mouth around it with all the meats & cheese,lettuce, tomato & onion! Wow! Some very tasty sandwiches made here. We ordered several for a party and they were more then helpful in assisting with the number needed, putting stuff on the side and preparing great subs including: Italian, Turkey, Roasted Veggie and Ham. Nice portions of quality meats along with fair pricing. The bread was excellent as well. Everything was ready for pick up as planned. The staff was very courteous and assisted in all of our needs. They also have table seating for eat in service. We will certainly be back and highly recommend this establishment. Great sandwiches and first-class service. read more

The subs and burgers are always fresh, delicious and had amazing taste every time. Staff is great and very friendly. Never was disappointed about the portions, portions are bigger than normal. Quality of food is always top notch. The store is always clean. Plenty of seating and always a bar style table that faces out the window towards none. Plenty of different choices for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Everything is perfect! If I had the money I would live off lunchbox. read more
