Solid old school diner, perfect for a quick breakfast. Staff was friendly, service was fast, and the breakfast was delicious. The food was hot and the coffee was flowing! What more could you ask for? As one would expect for a Jersey diner, the menu had a ton of options and could satisfy any morning craving. The prices were extremely reasonable which was a nice surprise, especially being so close to LBI!

I'm really not a breakfast person but I will say this was some of the best French toast I've had in a while. The building was packed with customers but service was on point. Very clean establishment!

Classic diner with a full menu and servers running around. It's located conveniently near the parkway entrance. We are usually able to walk in and be seated right away. The portions are a great size for the value and not overloaded on breakfast potatoes. Will continue to come here for the reliable meals and service.

Solid breakfast option with plenty of tables and an old school diner vibe complete with some neon lighting. The cinnabun French toast was delightful if you want to indulge in sweets first thing in the morning. The eggs were fine as expected. Coffee was okay as well. Service was quick. Overall, I don't think anything was spectacular, but it was a good breakfast diner meal.

We've been coming to the Stafford Diner for over 20 years and it never disappoints. The owners and staff are great, friendly and so helpful. The food is always hot and it always hits the spot. They also make the best party melts and quesadillas around. In Jersey we take our diner food seriously and this place is amazing.

Clean. Good food. Friendly service. Solid pitstop on a long drive. Ribeye sandwich and buff chicken wraps were good.

It appears to be reasonably newly remodeled, but the air conditioning was nonexistent. Sweating in my seat was not comfortable. The server seemed to have a bit of a chip on her shoulder. It took a extended period of time for her to return just to place our initial order setting that aside we figured we are good to go 45 minutes later we finally got our two eggs over easy with sides couldn't be much more simple than that 45 minutes. Wait was insane. They were not busy either. So to the most important part of the food we waited 45 mns for. 2 eggs over easy came out over hard. The sausage was sitting on the grill too long clearly potato's just ok. Sour dough toast was pretty good but at this point we are already sour on this location. I have noticed a lot of people complain about the pricing but I didn't see it as too crazy until we ended up sitting in a diner for over an hour. With the above avg prices at least do a good job. The table next to us ordered an eggs Benedict and there were no eggs on it! I thought they were kidding but nope. Table across from us left prob 35mns before us and the table was still not clear. Terrible. Maybe just an unfortunate day and things happen but this had so many levels of bad I will not be giving it another shot sorry.

After I updated my review to address the owner's original response, she responded again, calling my concerns "hysterical" and telling me to "focus on actual real world problems." At this point, I think the responses speak for themselves. I described something I personally witnessed while standing in this business and explained the impression it left on me. The owner was free to disagree with my account or provide her perspective. Instead, the responses have consisted of sarcasm, mockery, comments about my unrelated review history, and now dismissing my concerns as not being a "real world" problem. I find this extraordinarily unprofessional behavior from someone publicly responding under a "Business Owner" account. Customers should be able to leave critical reviews without being personally mocked or belittled by the owner. Nothing in these responses changes what I personally witnessed. If anything, the way this criticism has been handled has become an additional reason I would not recommend or return to this business. I have included screenshots so readers can see the owner's responses and form their own opinion. UPDATE 8/12: The business owner's response to my review has only reinforced my decision not to return. Rather than professionally addressing what I personally witnessed involving another customer, the owner responded with sarcasm, personal attacks, and comments about my completely unrelated review history. I found the response extremely unprofessional and, frankly, childish. A business owner should be able to address criticism without mocking a customer or attempting to discredit them personally. I do not know the younger customer involved; I simply witnessed the interaction while I was there waiting to order. The owner's response does not change what I personally saw or the impression it left on me. I won't be shopping here again. I've given this place a few chances because I wanted to be fair, but what I witnessed today was the final straw. I was standing in line getting ready to order when I watched who I assume was the owner walk over to a younger customer who was seated and just about to drink his coffee. She told him he needed to get up and move to make room for people who had just walked in. I walked out without ordering. The whole interaction left a terrible impression on me. Younger customers deserve the same basic courtesy and respect as everyone else, and what I witnessed came across as dismissive and biased based on age. I won't support a business where I feel younger customers are treated as less important than others.

The menu looked pretty good, but I was only there for a quick stop in. So I only had an order of wings. The wings were very good. I would recommend them. I look forward to coming back to this place and trying a lot more stuff. The service was very pleasant. It is located in the same parking lot as a driving range and a miniature golf so it has a lot to offer overall if you're looking for something to do and then stopping in for something to eat or a drink. I will be trying this again for sure. Looking forward to making a new review with much more detail on the food

Check for yourself, a quick search on Gemini or Grok yields the same response "No, it is generally not legal for a NJ restaurant to charge a 3% fee on a debit card transaction, even if they label it as a "credit card" fee." When I questioned the manager about this, I was met with excuses rather than a resolution. Point is that management can help prevent this by adding the debit card fee everywhere the rule is posted. It is clear this practice is about padding the restaurant's bottom line rather than covering costs. While our server was wonderful and not at fault, the management's lack of transparency is unacceptable. I like Callaway's but don't like their management who take no responsibility in rectifying this simple problem.

They said we could either leave the stroller on the porch or sit outside, so we chose to sit outside. It was a nice day anyways and they have umbrellas over the tables for shade. I did think it was weird that no strollers are allowed. Haven't seen that before and it didn't feel very baby-friendly. Overall, I'd still recommend LBI table.
