Chicken sandwich
Kseniya K.

My first time attending this iconic American establishment. Our large group of 16 was returning from AC on a snowy, rainy Sunday afternoon and decided to grab a late "brunch." We were the only people at the establishment, yet it took time to clean and push tables together to seat us. The service was slow when it came to taking orders, getting coffee, water, then waiting for our food. That wasn't nice, especially when everyone was super dehydrated and hungry. However, our waiter was super sweet and understanding, always responsive to our jokes and requests. He took care of our check quickly, splitting it amid a million credit cards without issues, which was really appreciated. They were out of burgers. All burgers. There was a recall on lettuce, so no salads of any kind either. So our carnivore group was left to ponder our remaining options. I was hard pressed to find healthy options. Everything on the menu was too greasy, too full of sugar or sodium or fat or all together. Indicates calories for each option were a helpful touch. I went with The least offensive option, which I ended up being very happy with. Chicken Florentine crepes $9.99 were only 860 calories. Very filling, yet light. Two sweet/savory crepes were stuffed with mushrooms, chicken breast, and Swiss cheese, served on a bed of spinach, topped with diced tomatoes and white cheese sauce. All the elements worked well together and I finished every last bite. Gota say I really enjoyed that dish, while all my friends were gulping down their liver-killing meals. Have to mention that the pancakes were delicious. Fluffy and light. Ordering them as a side was a good idea. If you order any other sweet dishes, you'll probably get diabetes. But just going with plan pancakes with butter will provide that sweet kick without sending your insulin crashing up and down.

I ended up back at Manera's recently and wanted to share a quick update based on my new experience…read more First, our service was yet again spectacular! The waiter was caring, friendly, and professional. Secondly, the food was great, and actually even better than the last time. I started my lunch with a cup of their Chicken Tortilla Soup, which had a lightly spicy tomato-based broth infused with loads of shredded white meat chicken and garnished with a few tortilla strips. It was flavorful, comforting, and a perfect vehicle in which to dip their crusty Italian bread. Now the real improvement came from my selected entree. While the Asian Shrimp Salad that I had ordered previously was just mediocre, the Seared Tuna Salad that I got this time was delicious! The plate included mixed greens, sliced avocado, julienne cucumbers, pickled onions, cherry tomatoes, and sesame-crusted, sushi-grade tuna, which I ordered seared to a medium rare. The fish was tender and perfectly cooked. Cups of wasabi and Asian dressing were served on the side and further infused a tangy heat to the dish. It was colorful, textural, and simply delicious. It was a real winner! Manera's Restaurant provided yet another enjoyable meal with dedicated service in a classy, yet casual, atmosphere.

Never wrote a review for Mainland and it's where we eat the most so that doesn't make any sense…read more Time to redeem myself. We love this place. They got a nice rotation of local beers mixed in with the big boys and they can do a mean cocktail too. Buffalo cauliflower is my fav app on the menu.. plenty of hot sauce and blue cheese and all the sandwiches are equally tasty. Chop salad is another sneaky one that's just really good. Last night was cinco de mayo so they rocked an al pastor taco special that should be on the menu permanently if it's not already. We dig the garage doors and fire pits all year round. Service has always been great. 5 fn stars go to these guys.

Enjoyable visit to the Mainland this week. Very festive for Christmas!…read more Food was good. Wings were tasty but skimpy. Pretzel was enjoyable. Burgers were cooked perfectly and the fries were nice and hot. Only complaint about the food is their choice of 'plates'. Everything is served on these tiny aluminum trays. Not only does it give you a cafeteria vibe, but they simply aren't practical. I took the lettuce off my burger and the only place I could put it was on the table. Draft beers were very good. Fresh and cold. Can tell they keep their beer lines clean. Server was quirky but friendly and efficient. From what I could tell, the whole staff seemed to be really hustling on a very crowded night. Only issue of the night was the check. Our food and drink total was $117 (pre-tax). However, the bill had it as $125 - without explanation. We of course called it out and after some discernment in the kitchen the server comes back to tell us that the $8 difference was for the mushrooms and onions we added to our burgers. Umm, ok. But why no line item showing that? He couldn't really answer that. Am I the first one that this ever happened to or just the first one to call it out? Very odd given this is a large, established business who also has other restaurants. Odd ending to an otherwise enjoyable evening!

Food: I tried the Chicken Noodle Soup, Chicken Parm, Santa Fe Salad (no quinoa), Sesame Chicken Salad (not pictured) and the Element Roll. The Chicken Noodle Soup - came with a lot of stuff: vermicelli noodles, spinach, and the usual celery, carrots, onions, and chicken. Flavor was good and quite filling. The Drunken Chicken Parmesan - really loved the flavor of this. Came hot with melty cheese, with a vodka sauce, I'd order again! Santa Fe Salad - one of their more popular salads. Pretty tasty! I like the addition of the chicken and avocado to make the salad more nutritious and filling. Sesame Chicken Salad - i forgot to take a picture of this one, but I personally preferred this over the Santa Fe Salad. Flavor was great, and i really liked the fried wonton pieces and toasted almonds. The Element Roll - i haven't had a roll with this combination of ingredients, and I'd come back to get it again! I love spicy tuna, shrimp tempura, and seaweed salad, so this roll was an immediate love. Overall - I'd come back! I want to try their other salads! Haha! I also saw they also have an event room, perfect for a birthday celebration, family reunion, or any other type of private event.

It was loaded with chicken, blue cheese, eggs, olives, tomatoes and cheddar cheese. I almost finished it but couldn't. I forgot to take pics when we were served so I took them a bit late. Overall, a good meal and we will be returning. The place is overly decorated in my opinion but that's just me. PS: please do something about the potholes in your parking lot.
