The staff was very friendly since the moment we walked in. We stayed in the area for the weekend and visited twice for breakfast. During both visits the food was served quick, had a nice presentation and it tasted great. On our second visit the waitress, Jennifer was very friendly and diligent. She made sure we had everything we needed, refilled our coffee frequently and provided us with excellent service. The restaurant was full during the first visit but everyone was taken care of, it was less crowded on the second visit since it was early but both experiences were pleasant. read more

I went to the Dennys in Absecon in NJ, Never have been more disappointed. I ordered a brownie sundae with oreo crumbles on top and the brownie was absolutely dried they used pre-made brownies and just microwaved it and no wonder why it was dry . the service was okay , she kept asking every five seconds if i needed anything . read more

What happened to my favorite Denny's spot??? This has always been my go to Denny's in AC, and perhaps across the board. But my last visit was a big disappointment. I ordered 4 dishes through the app for pickup. I briefly reviewed to make sure everything was there, and was good to go. I did see that they have outdoor seating and started accepting limited indoor dining. When I arrived to my hotel and was ready to dig in, upon closer examination the fruit cup had spoiled strawberries with mold and slime on them and the grapes were also very soft and old. I also found spoiled lettuce mixed into the house salad. The breakfast with pancakes was fine but the sausages tasted like they were frozen. I am sure they are frozen sausages but normally they don't taste like that unless they weren't cooked thoroughly. On the other hand the rest of the meals were fine and the sizzling skillet was very good. However, 1 out of 4 dishes being up to expactions isn't a good outcome. I've been happy with my meals many times here, so far this was my first time coming before 12pm and my first negative experience so far. I may chalk it up to the morning cook being careless and give it another try some day. But I'm a bit hesitant to waste my time and money and may try out the other Denny's in the area. This was the first Denny's I had ever been to, and they had a great food so it set a high standard for me. So I feel bad knocking my review down from 5 to 3 stars. Hopefully they will improve by the next time I visit and regain my confidence! read more

Stopped by for a late night bite on a weekend getaway to Atlantic City. This was one of the few establishments still open at 3 AM and boy were we grateful. We were seated immediately and surprisingly there was a handful of other customers as well. The food wasn't the best, but alright for your typical comfort food/Ihop style chain. I downloaded this app just to review this place. LaScala's has been completely revamped. They have live music all day long. They have a DJ at night. I just took my whole family here not only was the food sooo good it came out fast. The seafood great. The pizza great. The drinks great -and the service was great. They've def put a lot of effort into making this place amazing. I can't recommend the hotel behind it bc that's a scary place but lascalas is off the charts. Waited for 20 minutes w menu on table. Lady who was manager was bussing a table next to me . Inquired as to what waz going on with waiter . She takes ordrr puts it in.takes about 15 to 20 minutes for a lumberjack( which btw was great). At no time did the eventual waiter ever stop back to check on me. I waited 20 minutes for the check after finishing. When i asked some other waiter he ran check and I said tell whoever it is i waNt another diet coke. When i get back from the restroom cheque is on table. I wait ten minutes no coke refill. Maybe you wanna ask me if i want some cheese with my whine? I had the Ultimate Omelette here. But only in the sense that that's what it was called. It was not some sort of incomparable, paramount omelette that no other omelette will ever live up to. The Decent Omelette With Sausage, Bacon, Onions, Peppers, Mushrooms and Cheddar would've been a much more apt moniker, but it's not as catchy, especially if you're into the whole brevity thing. So I understand why Denny's went with "Ultimate." After destroying any semblance of health you once had over a weekend in Atlantic City, stopping at Denny's on the drive back to NYC is the perfect transition back into the real world. Sure, it's a Denny's. But the service was friendly and quick, and all the menus have pictures to convince you to get much more food than you need. We had a remarkable Indian waitress who was really nice. I told her we had 1 adult and 1 child (me cause I am a child of god lol) but she laughed and kept it going. The thing I liked was the manager would come behind right after the waitress. The meatloaf and mash and vegetables was very good and fulfilling especially after the Ledisi concert. My wife had a strict diet and they really did there best to accommodate her needs which I loved. Very good service overall. My first time at Denny's and I loved it. read more

Miserable! This was by far and away the WORST experience in a chain restaurant I have ever had. I had come to Atlantic City for work and my hotel was in Galloway, but I couldn't really find any restaurants that I actually wanted eat at so thought that Denny's may be the best option. I was totally wrong. Despite the number of available tables, I was seated right next to a party of eight that were...you guessed it loud. The waitress came a took my order (Fit Slam and a Diet Coke). Probably 15 minutes went by before the waitress finally brought me a REGULAR Coke. Thinking my taste buds may have just been off, I asked the waitress if she had actually brought me a Diet Coke, to which she answered, "You wanted a Diet Coke?" About five minutes later, she brought my Diet Coke. No joke, but another 20 minutes goes by (in between the waitress NEVER came by) before I finally get my meal...and it's the wrong meal. She initially walked away and stared at the sizzling vegetable skillet monstrosity that I never ordered. I called her back over to tell her that I had ordered the Fit Slam to which she replied she order the correct meal, but I'd had enough. I followed her over to the front of the restaurant and asked if I could just leave because I had just had enough. She called over a person I believed to be the manager and I explained what had happened. During this conversation, I found out that the waitress actually received the correct meal from the kitchen, but she sent it back so they could cook the prepare and deliver to the wrong meal to me. The manager (I think) was very nice and very apologetic, offered to get me a complimentary meal and when I declined, asked me to ask for her should I come back and she would still offer me a complimentary meal.
