Veggie Bowl

Great food and fantastic service. We stopped for lunch leaving Seattle, and were fans of the food. Small restaurant, with good vibes.

Fish Sauce 5. Fried Chicken Wings w/Fish Sauce (Canh Ga Chien Nuoc Mam)

10/10 we ordered Oxtail and Steak Pho! Flavor was there it was really good! (Broth was different flavor than what I am used to) but I really enjoyed it! Service was great too server answered our questions. Restaurant spacing was nice . Parking wasn't too hard to find either Fish Sauce wings were great sweetness was there nothing too overpowering Crab Rangoon was good (I am not a crab Rangoon fan in general) but I ate like 1or2

Chicken Pho (Pho Ga)
Reynu S.

This was a very cozy place with tasty food! The chicken pho was a bit lackluster. Felt like flavors didn't have enough time to fully develop. But with some heavy lifting from the lime, toppings and dipping sauces, it was a cozy and comforting meal. My mom experienced a similar issue with the vegetarian pho, but she was excited that a place served it to begin with, so she was happy to be able to try their take on a vegetarian broth. Overall, it was a nice experience but not super special. I might go back once more if I lived in the area.

Vermicelli bowl

A cute, little place that serves the usual Vietnamese food such as pho, bahn mi, vermicelli bowls, chicken wings and appetizers. We went for an early dinner on Sunday and enjoyed the food and the good service. The lady was working alone handling all of the tables herself. Our food came out all at the same time and it was delicious! We ordered some bahn mi to go for later in the evening too. They are located on a Main Street and there is street parking available. The prices were a little higher than other places, but we were happy with the food and dining experience.

Why would they cut the wings like this??!?
Kenny K.

So ordered take out here and was the first time ordering their fish sauce wings. I took a bite out of these wings and the meat on the wings turned into some sort of grainy mess. I spat it out immediately and looked around to see what it could of been. I thought it may have been me accidentally biting into the bone, but no. After further investigation, I noticed slits all over the wings as shown in the photo... smh, why would anyone do this. Especially if you are deep frying these wings, this causes the wings to over cook tremendously. It was a horrendous texture in my mouth. Now that I'm staring at these wings longer, it looks more and more disgusting. Giving 2 stars cause I don't know what the other food is like. And shouldn't judge a pho restaurant just for its horrible wings. Please business owner if you read this. Tell your chef to never do that to your wings. The wings are already small enough. 10-15 minutes without those slits in the deep fryer will cook them through and through. Also got a pho, decent. But could use more broth especially for a large. It comes in a tiny medium sized plastic container. Other places has the taller containers for large. Don't skimp your customers out on that either. Because with this giant beef bone, the soup doesn't even cover half the bowl with soup. Probably will never come back, but hope you guys read this criticism and fix it instead of taking it as an insult.

Great spot, perfect for the cold weather and amazing flavor from both the pho and rangoons already a favorite gem of ours very chill vibe and friendly staff we went on a Friday night, around 5pm able to get seats immediately

11. Special pho (Dac Biet)

We finally found our pho spot! Got the #11 Special Pho (rare steak, meatballs, tripe, tendon). The broth was great and came out piping hot (just way we like it). Each bowl of pho came with its own bean sprouts, jalapeños, lime and basil, which its great... no sharing them with my family! Hehehe. The bowl is one size but its not small, nice portion of noodles and meat. Customer service is awesome and very nice ambience. We will be back!

Somewhere between spring and summer is "my face is allergic to the world day". That day is today Looking for a nice spot in my town to support a local Pho place, I found Lunar Pho on Yelp. Altho I was originally thinking of chicken pho. I ordered the beef and ginger pho, which was phenomenal! I had a hot tea and water. They bring the water in a bottle, so that's unusual yet not a bad thing. The true standout of my visit today is not the food, not the ambiance, yet both of those are awesome. The real gem is the server, Priscilla, who is efficient, friendly, knowledgeable and unflappable! She had the whole restaurant that she was waiting on, handing off to-go orders as they came in, answering the phone, and greeting every person that walked in! My pho dish comes with a Chinese donut, which she described as kinda like a churro, only no sugar on the outside. I wanted to try it yet I'm allergic to wheat. She was able to confirm that it wouldn't be in my best interest as there is wheat in the donut. I appreciate her due diligence. Phenomenal service, excellent food and clean restaurant, I'll be back!!

W 23. Stir Fried Beef Bowl (Bo Xao)

We ordered the spring roll- i opted for no pork, just shrimp and no beef sprouts (if any). Super delicious. They had crispy onions in there which elevated it for me. The rolls were medium sized but perfectly wrapped. The flavor of the dipping sauce was super yummy! This is my #1 go to when I am going to order from here. Unlike other places, the spring rolls from here taste fresh and clean. 2. My husband ordered the ginger and beef pho and the broth was super clean and yummy! He has har tried before and vowed he will never eat it again but surprisingly he gave it a chance here and it did not disappoint! 3. I also had the shaken beef vermicelli bowl. The beef was too spicy for my liking and i would recommend to request for the spice level to a low when ordering. The dressing was not bad but i definitely would prefer the yummy peanut sauce than the fish sauce marinade it came with it. All in all, food was delicious and it is definitely on our top 3 pho go to place around here.

Grilled pork banh mi
Ann W.

Ordered their grilled pork banh mi, which was very flavorful. I just wished that there was less fat in the meat overall. About 30% of the pork was fat, which I had to take out. Otherwise, service and atmosphere were great!

Spare 27. Grilled Short Ribs with Egg (Suon Bo Nuong)
Jay C.

Everything has gotten up in price that it's scary to eat out these days. But at the same time, grocery stores are going up as well to where it's about to same just to eat out. With that being said, two dishes was almost $40, but it was worth it. Our server was very nice and polite. The pho broth was tasty. Although an inch disappointed because the noodles were over cooked just a little bit. The spare ribs were a decent portion and had great flavor. Added on an egg cake and shredded pork skin to accompany the rice and ribs plate. I will definitely visit this place again. Give it a try, you'd be happy with the flavor.

Had lunch today for the first time.... First…read moreobservation...NO ADA entrance, only stairs, ramp needs to be installed; after a yr in business they should have already figured that out. The staff are very attentive and friendly, the store itself could use some tweaking; more details in a minute. My 9" Veggie was very good, real Deli feel, and two slices of cheese with all the trimmings, but they forgot my tomato slices, which they quickly remedied, and the bread was a bit chewy but still good. Also, when you advertise "avocado" one would expect fresh slices, avocado spread is not a vegetable; I suggest real sliced avocado for the best veggie hoagie, or maybe an option? My husband had the Ruben, he wanted a 9" but also wanted Rye Bread so they said they would make the inside 9" on the 6" Rye, that was nice of them to offer. There was a lot of meat and plenty of dressing, hubby said very tasty, too - however, the meat was cold on the inside and it was a Dark Rye instead of Marble Rye, and the bread slices were very small and thin; suggest getting a larger slice Marble Rye and make it as a 9" sandwich. Drinks and chips are offered at a seperate price. Parking is very limited, and The building needs some work. The eating area is small but okay, the tables were mainly a waiting area for take out, but for those of us who did eat in, the tables were not wiped down once while we were there, and the floor needed a desperate sweep. The wait was a bit long but they were very busy (a very good sign) take out orders are many, and for the most part only 1 person dedicated to making sandwiches. Suggestions: You're busy! Hire more people to make sandwiches and Dedicate someone to the register and taking care of the lobby area, clearing tables, sweeping etc. Honestly, the concept is ideal, and the food is great and can only get better with time. The one thing that I would add for continued success would be a womans ingenuity and touch, just sayin' All in all.... We had great experience. The food was good! And, We will definitely be back. Thanks

But then we looked cross the street on 1st, where there used to be an Anthem, and even though it was already 6pm, this sandwich shop was still open and...there was a BINGO game happening. Whaddya know? So we took a peak in and they were not only serving sandwiches but they also had a cooler full of microbrews and kombuchas, beer on tap, wine, and a whole list of cocktails made from prosecco and other non-hard liquors like Amaro. Truly something for everyone. So we gave our order to the sweet human at the counter and took our seats I'm not kidding, my Amaro sour was one of the best cocktails I've had in a while in Tacoma and so were the pretzel sticks. I want my cocktails cold, tart, and refreshing with a little kick of funk or herbs and I want my pretzels salty. You wouldn't think that's such a high bar to clear but you'd be surprised. Sandwich Starr nailed it. Our Zatan sandwich was tasty but even though the bread felt a little stale. Otherwise the decor is kinda '90s coffee house and they've got bingo! I'm writing about an experience at the Jersey Mike's in Issaquah, Washington, and what appears to…read morebe an issue with how gluten-free hot orders affect grill production and promised pickup times. I ordered a regular cheesesteak at 5:49 PM. Nothing in my order was gluten-free. The ordering system gave me a promised pickup time of 6:04 PM. I ultimately walked out with my sandwich at approximately 6:25 PM -- 36 minutes after ordering and about 21 minutes after the promised pickup time. The employees explained that the delay occurred because a gluten-free hot sub had been ordered. They told me that when this happens, stopping normal grill production and cleaning the grill is standard procedure before preparing the gluten-free order. I want to be clear: I have no problem with accommodating customers who need gluten-free food, and I don't fault the employees for following the procedures they've been given. My concern is with the process. If stopping and cleaning the grill whenever a gluten-free hot sandwich is ordered is Jersey Mike's standard procedure, then this is a known and predictable reduction in grill capacity. The ordering system already knows that a gluten-free hot sandwich has entered the queue. Why doesn't it account for the additional procedure when calculating promised pickup times for the other hot orders? My order was accepted at 5:49 PM and promised for 6:04 PM. If the restaurant's required procedure meant that the grill could not realistically produce my sandwich until approximately 6:25 PM, the system should not have promised 6:04 PM. I would also appreciate clarification of the gluten cross-contact procedure itself. Jersey Mike's acknowledges that cross-contact can occur in its restaurants. I understand why physically cleaning a shared grill can reduce gluten cross-contact; gluten is a protein, so simply heating the grill does not eliminate it. However, this raises a reasonable question: If a gluten-free hot sandwich requires stopping production and cleaning the entire grill, why doesn't a gluten-free cold sandwich require stopping production and cleaning the entire cold-sub preparation station? I understand that clean gloves, clean utensils, paper barriers and other procedures can reduce cross-contact for cold sandwiches without shutting down the entire station. I would like to understand why localized cross-contact controls are considered appropriate for a gluten-free cold sandwich while, according to the Issaquah employees, an entire grill shutdown and cleaning is required for a gluten-free hot sandwich. I am not suggesting that Jersey Mike's eliminate reasonable gluten-free precautions. If cleaning the entire grill is the procedure Jersey Mike's has determined is appropriate, then employees should certainly follow it. But the operational consequences of that procedure should be incorporated into the ordering system. For reference: Ordered: 5:49 PM Promised: 6:04 PM Received/departed: approximately 6:25 PM Delay beyond promised time: approximately 21 minutes My concern is not with the gluten-free customer or with the Issaquah employees. It is with a system that apparently does not account for a standard procedure that can temporarily stop normal grill production, yet continues to provide customers with pickup times the restaurant cannot meet. I would appreciate clarification on two points: 1. Is stopping normal grill production and cleaning the entire grill for every gluten-free hot sandwich actually Jersey Mike's corporate procedure, as I was told at the Issaquah location? 2. If it is, why isn't the resulting reduction in grill capacity reflected in the promised pickup times generated by the ordering system? Thank you. I would appreciate a response explaining both the food-preparation policy and how Jersey Mike's intends its stores to manage the resulting impact on customer wait times.
