Tucked between Oggi's and Chipotle in the Santee Trolley Square is Luna Grill. It has occupied this spot for a while since Daphne's Greek Restaurant went tits-up. This, however, was the first time that Becky and I tied it. I'll start with this; it was good. A tad on the pricey side, but good. We both ordered the Pita Gyro Plate with Fries. $11.99 Greek cabbage salad, shredded kale, diced tomato, sauce, gyro meat wrapped in pita and served with choice of side. I added a starter of Stuffed Grape Leaves. $4.99 Grape leaves stuffed with rice, onion and spices. Served with Garlic Feta Sauce. They do nickel and dime you for extras. Salad dressings are $0.50 each and sauces range from $0.79 (tzatziki) to $1.29 (garlic feta) of which we ordered two. I ordered on line which was a bit of pain in the ass only because it forces you to create an account. I don't necessarily want an account, but whatever. I will say this though, all of our requests and changes were honored and correct. They have a good system in place for making changes. Additions, subtractions, substitutions, extras. It worked wery well. It told me my order would be ready in 28 minutes. When I arrived in about 25 it was already bagged and promptly handed to me. Service was quick and friendly. I was cheerily greeted upon entry which was nice. Probably not a regular spot for us, but sometimes we get a hankerin' for a Gyro and Luna Grill is less than five minutes away from home.
