I ordered online through the app, which was simple and great, as I do almost every time. When I came in I told the guy at the counter I was there for a pick up and told him my name. He said, oh yeah, yours is one of those over there. I then had to read the receipts myself to find my own bag, instead of him doing it. Which was strange. Unfortunately, once I finally got home and was able to look at my food, I was very disappointed. It was not how it always is. The chicken was burnt and dry and only one chunk. This lovely fast casual restaurant in Mansfield has fresh and scrumptious Mediterranean food. We loved it pre-pandemic and I'm sure it's still delicious. We ordered a spicy feta dip served with sliced veggies and pita bread as a starter and noshed on it throughout the meal. I literally spend a lot of money here between delivery and pickup. On my last visit (August) I had to use the restroom and when I closed the door, I saw a mouse trap (nothing on it but still) This is my favorite healthy place with a fast food concept. For the love of God get that taken care of (full clean up, eradication and inspection ) so I can come back and get my salmon plates. I'm gonna take issue with the Yelp community for the 4.5 star rating that brought us to Luna Grill on a cold November evening only to find an experience deserving a hard 3. Highest marks for the concept, a counter service café with a variety of seating options, cool modern design and lighting, Covid-friendly spacing and other precautions in place, designated tables for pickup services (very busy while we were there), and a menu that covers the basics I look for in a Mediterranean place. We were happy with the checkout staff and ordering process. We started with Loaded Fries cuz we were starving. The flavor was good. But, the plastic packaging made it feel a little like mall food. I went with the Gyro Meat Plate and she the Halal Lamb Kabob. The rice was bland. I should have asked for some salt. Hummus was fair, a bit pasty with flavor that was a bit too robust, like artificially so. The Pitas seemed like they came packaged and pre-cut, with only 4 quarters provided for a pile of Gyros Meat and dollop of Hummus. I could have used 2-3 times as many. Tzatziki was passable. The Gyro meat was tasty, but not hot. The kitchen seemed backed up with carry out and delivery orders, which I assume was the reason our food took quite a while to come out. We were not rushed, so I'm cool being understanding about timing, especially with the challenges businesses are facing now. But, it's gotta be hot. The lamb was dry and not seasoned enough in my opinion. And wth charging over $15 for four lamb cubes, rice, and an additional up-charge to change the salad, I didn't feel the value. The ticket was over $40 for two of us with her having a fountain drink and me drinking water. For counter service and bland food, this is way too high. Honestly this tastes like what happens when a cuisine is chain-ified, submitted to bulk production, corporate cost savings in the ingredients, etc. when it is much better left in the hands of a local national who understands it and can deliver its culinary truth. For the same cost at Aladdin in Keller, I'm *blown away* by every bite. So, I don't know where the stars are coming from. But, there are several local Mediterranean places in this area. Maybe this section of Mansfield prefers a chain with a cool dining room over the hole-in-the-wall! read more

I've passed by this place a couple time and wanted to try it. The workers were nice, just regular. Restaurant was very clean and empty due to corona but still, I'll give them that. I ordered the chicken kabob plate, as I'm eating my rice I find the top to the pita bread inside my rice. Yes I know sounds crazy but please see attached picture. Nothing more I can really say about this place. Chicken was chewy, rice was bland (the bite I had before discovering the bread tie) salad was good. That's about it. Bad bad first impression. Update: I went back to Luna Grill to get my refund. Immediately I noticed a difference. The restaurant seemed to be running more smoothly just by walking in. I get to the counter and explained that I came to get a refund and Adaam, the district manager, knew my situation and apologized. I was surprised in a good way that he knew what I was talking about. After issuing me my refund we stepped to the side and he continued to explain that they have completely changed the way they prepare food and that this would never happen again, to me or anyone. I was very impressed with the resolving of the situation and I commend Luna Grill for fixing an issue so quickly. Adaam gave me his card if anything else were to happen and I feel comfortable going back because I know my experience will be different. I will update again when I go back. read more

Brought a friend with me this time and we enjoyed their new Santorini bowls which were stuffed with hummus, kale, couscous, onions, olives, and a mix of spices. Everything was super delicious, light, fresh, and hit the spot after a long day of work. Everything including a small bottle of wine was just $37! We started with their spicy peppers, which were a little on the salty side, but amazingly delicious on the spicy side. They left all the seeds in the peppers which did make things hot. The onions on the side actually cooled things down. The waitress that brought out our food was nice and we were left to our own devices of talking and relaxing. My boyfriend and I love Luna Grill, but this specific location was the worst. Such a disappointment. We ordered 1 chicken pita wrap with fries and a vegan bowl to go. When we got home I quickly noticed that my VEGAN bowl had feta cheese! And the falafels were really hard to bite into. The chicken pita wrap only included 3 small pieces of chicken. I've been wanting to try this place for a while now so I met my mom and niece here for lunch. There were plenty of seats available and it was nice and clean inside. I was surprised to see that they had Cornish hen on the menu so that's what I ordered with rice and spicy hummus. My mom ordered something similar to a quesadilla and my niece ordered the El Greco bowl.. . I was highly impressed with the smoked/grilled Cornish hen !! It's was very tender and the flavor was delicious ! Both my mom and niece were also very satisfied with their food. Our order took about 10 minutes for it to come so most of it was cooked fresh ! We chose this place because my coworker recommended it (yay, already good thing that other people are making recommendations here) & we weren't disappointed. The El Greco Bowl was something we decided to share. It was was a great take on loaded fries. For me the gyro meat seemed a bit too salty, we also ordered it without serrano peppers... I like spice but the spicy yogurt on the bottom was hot enough! It was good, but not great. My friend had the Gyro Plate, same meat but for some reason it wasn't as salty. She noticed a difference in too & that's why she urged me to try it. It was delicious and the basmati rice was awesome! I had the burger, this burger was grass fed. I will definitely be ordered this again. For kids burger, it was a pretty good size. I chose to have fries with it and the fries overall are great. The cucumbers that came as a side were also fresh! Luna offers a lot of great options. I typically order from this place to go. My go to is their flat cut chicken kabob and I upgrade my salad to their Greek salad. One of my most favorite parts of this plate is the garlic feta sauce. It's so yummy!! Now for the salad.... the Greek has chickpeas, pickled red onion and banana peppers in it which ties in well with the flavor of the entire meal. Their pita bread is always fresh and so soft. Not sure why I keep giving this place a chance, but three strikes and they're out for me. Every time I've stopped here, service has been glacial. Today, there were two other people in the restaurant when I arrived with my small baby to grab a chicken pita and fries with a side of garlic feta sauce. I ordered eat in--the place was practically empty, after all. After sitting there for 20 minutes, and some people who came in after me got served, I asked if there was a problem with my order, and was told they were waiting for the sauce, which literally is a dollop of premade stuff put in a little plastic cup (for $1.00!). So then after a few minutes the server tosses my stuff in a paper bag and hands it to me. I said I ordered eat in. So - she takes the items out of the bag, puts them on a tray, takes them off the tray and drops them on my table, and then walks away. Smart kid. Not sure where this chain effect is happening but it's one thing after another. Looks like this location is undergoing many changes and prepping is one of them. I eat the salmon pretty often here, like twice a week. I choked on a few bones yesterday and my niece almost choked on two bones! Thank goodness she was able to catch it while it was still in her mouth. I've noticed their portions are getting smaller as well. They're starting to be more frugal with things. And it's not looking good for them so far. Removing options for plate entrees, cutting back on portions. The salmon I had yesterday was half the size of how I usually get them. And the salad use to fill the plate and now it's like half the plate. And sloppy prepping? Two diff salmons, two diff plates, both having multiple bones.
