This place is a joke. The food is horrible, the pastries are old and stale and coffee sucks. The service is horrible. You have these immature young immigrant girls working there shaking their little asses around the old men who tip them well and forget about the other customers. If you go there with your boyfriend or husband forget it. They try to flirt right in front of you and pay you no mind. They are very slow when they are helping you, ruin your orders or even forget, but when it comes time for the bill they are quick and if you pay cash they don't give you the change because they assume it's their tips. God bless this place because it will go down in shambles real soon. Get mature waitresses that want to work, not young girls that need to work to get their visas. read more

Terrible service...we waited to order our desserts and we're ignored by the rude staff. Many just stood around talking while I was waiting to order. The desserts are not good and weren't worth the wait. Music is distracting read more

Our server took 30 minutes to take our order. We waited over an hour to receive our food. They told us they didn't sell alcohol. But then sold beer to the gentleman next to us. Too many other good choices I. This area. read more

If I could give this place zero stars i would. My family and I went here at 9:30 placed was packed and busy. We inquired if the kitchen was open or if they were closing down for the night. This was July 4 weekend and we understood if some business closed early. The server told us they were still open and closed at 11. We thought perfect. Our waiter sat us at a table near the back and said he would be back shortly with menus. Our server came back with the menus and asked if we wanted anything to drink while we wait we said water for the table to start. We waited 40 minutes the server never came back,we called another server who appeared to be looking around for something to do, and asked if he could take our order because we were ready. He said sure, we start telling him our order and he says its his 3rd day and he has to get a pen and paper to write everything down because he won't remember. Seriously why don't you walk with those things you are a server that should be your number one tool. We ask him if he could locate our server and have him take our order instead.20 min later our orginal server comes over sans drinks and asks us if we are ready to order no Apology for the delay or anything its now 10:29. We tell him our order and guess what he also forgets his pen and paper and has to go get it. He come back and we give him our order. We think ok maybe the food will be worth the wait. Our sever come back at 10:40 with bottles of water that we asked for when we first sat down to tell us that the kitchen is closing and he just found out. The only thing they have are pizza and burgers. Totally ridiculous the server tries to blame the kitchen for telling him at the last minute. I saw the reviews about this place but figured new management service might be better NOPE. Would never come back here and definitely would never ever recommend. HELL NO read more

Crepes were 10/10. Waiter was good but struggled a bit with English. Overall amazing place. Food was cheaper than I expected too

If 0 stars where available I would rate it 0 without a doubt. Terrible service, I waited 5 hours for a damn soda, food is hard. I only recommend one thing, and that is to never go near this disgusting humiliated place. PERIOD read more

If you are on Arthur ave from out of town and think it looks nice so it must be good, think again! I come from an Italian family in New York so anyone else that knows will understand when I say they prefill their cannoli and let then sit in the display case! If you just want coffee, give it a shot, but for all of your pastry needs Id recommend Gino's which is in eye shot, or Madonia bakery(best cannoli I have ever had). read more

Server told me to take a seat, After 20 minutes he never came by to take my order or give me a menu. I had to snatch a menu to see what I wanted. After that I stood up and asked a server if he could take my order. He apologized for the wait and said he would be with right me. I took a seat again and after 15 more minutes NO SERVICE. Keep in mind it is not busy and there are only 3-4 parties sitting outside. After that I just got up and left. If the service is this bad I can't imagine the food. Come here if you would like to waste your time! read more

My family and I wanted coffee and some snacks. After 15 minutes of being ignored, we walked away. Not good service at all.

Today I tried to have lunch here at the LUNA CAFE and was discriminated against. It was about 3/3:30 in the afternoon. Everything I tried to order they were "out of it." The racism was blatant I could feel the anger rising from my feet up. This is the Bronx NY and I was basically denied service because of the colour of my skin. Should have the pleasure of having lunch on Arthur Ave and would like a side of racism with your meal, or maybe you'd like to have it as an appetiser then by all mean...eat at Luna Cafe. read more

Food sucks. Waiter were just talking instead of serving us. Cash only too. Didn't tell us before.

Awful burger by far the worst burger I have ever tried. Order a margarita pizza, and when I got home, it was a regular cheese pizza: unhappy kids, but lesson learned. read more

The coffee and pastries are good over here. I can't speak on anything else. Order a cappachino and a pastry and call it a day. Meerupafsheem. read more

Ok, if i could, i would give you ZERO stars, because of the rude staff again, i went there a couple of times, and they dont change their behavior, iam albanian, and i dont speek albania very good, few words i do, but not everything... i called for a pick up yesterday, and the guy on the phone told me "are you ashamed to order in albanian", why you dont speek albanian...basically its not his job what kind of language i speak, his job is to take the order... horrible horrrible experience, and very rude staff...that was my last time ordering here... never again !!! read more

This is the worst place to eat!! Its dirty and I originally went there because i thought the old Italian cafe would still be there and to my surprise it was Albanian. i decided to still eat there against my own best judgment! I sat outside and there were so many people smoking that all the smoke was choking me and they had no respect for others there. The waitress comes over to take our order and I ordered something called a burek. The waitress was very nasty and couldnt even speak English correctly! So then we received our food and it was filled with a sour tasting cheese so I ate it anyway against my best judgement later that night i was sick to my stomach! i had diarrhea and was vomiting profusely!!! Stay away from this place it is disgusting and the food will almost kill you!!!! Beware!!!! read more

Wow, an amazing corner filled with so, so many delights to please any palate at any time of the day or evening. I have been visiting this place for years but with this new and improved management/ staff and decor this cafe has been upgraded from a cafe to a bistro. It has the best hot chocolate, delicious quick bites and mouth watering desserts, and it's all served fresh and with a smile. Perfect place to visit when you visit NYBG, Bx Zoo, Fordham University, Arthur Avenue/ The Bx's "Little Italy". Drop by if you're in the neighborhood, you wont be disappointed. read more

If you want to wait two hours for just a coke and then wait two more for a burned chicken sandwich go there. Worst service I have ever seen

The waiter that took our order did not hava a mask on . Most of the staff had the mask below their chin or didn't have one on. But the pizza and shrimp scampi was excellent. read more

Oh HELLLLLL NO! This place will overcharge you and give you shitty deserts in return! $18 for this garbage! The Tiramisu sucked!!! It's "homemade" well that person made the worst one ever! Dry and zero flavor! I wish I read the reviews before spending $18 on crap! Avoid! My friend wanted a cheesecake damn scammer behind the counter showed her the last piece said "it's the best" well it tasted old and she threw it out. $5 for a shitty cheesecake! Also they just toss your shit in a bag and it turns upside down making a mess! They don't pay attention to detail nor care about their reputation!!! read more

I didn't have a chance to review the food here because my husband and I were completely ignored by the waitstaff. We stood there as they look right in our faces and tended to other customers. We left after 5 minutes. I wish I had read through the reviews before walking in, because the reviews confirm that a rude waitstaff is a part of Cafe Luna's reputation. read more

This spot totally missed the mark. The waiter showed up without wearing a mask and proceeded to struggle with the order. The wrong food came out twice - the second time we just took it. The 4th of our 4 meals didn't show up - I got it to go. Then the waiter decides to try to explain to me that the minimal grilled chicken in the sandwich was really chicken parm (but without the sauce and chees). Really? So nice of them to add on a 4% fee for using a credit card (and not telling you) and then adding on a 15% gratuity (and not telling you) for a party of 4. I'd give it 0 stars if I could - never again. read more

This is my favorite place in the Bronx Highly recommended!! Great service, very friendly people read more

I have to review this place cause it's the only place open until midnight on a weekday. I came here with my two friends and had a great time. If you are looking for great big cups of cappuccino and authentic Albanian desserts (krem banana cake and tollumba, I'm looking at you), then this is the place. If you're also in the mood for pizza qebaba and Burek this is also the place for you. The food is great and the place has a full menu filled with plenty of dining options. The place is really clean and so are the bathrooms. Extra points for being open so late. The prices are also comparable to other Arthur Ave. joints. My card is always accepted here and you definitely get the vibe of being back home. Luna Cafe, you are a luminous spot on the Arthur Ave strip. read more

Place has no respect for the neighborhood. They use a leaf blower to blow cigarette butts off of there patio and into the street every night at 1 in the morning. Owners should consider that people live right next door and think about investing in a broom out of respect for their neighbors. read more

Albanian Cafe with Italian offerings as well (since it's on Arthur Avenue). Great outdoor seating. Courteous service.

came here three months ago with my daughter to look at their sliced cakes, as we walked inside, we felt a bad vibe like we were not welcome there. we saw their cakes and decided they didn't have enough selections to chose from. we walked out, not going back there any time soon. read more

First of all, the muffin are harder than concrete, ill rather eat a textbook before I eat anything from there. Bathroom was totally disgusting!! There was shit on the toilet and ceiling. My coffee tasted like sweat and sack. And the service?! I might as well go behind the counter and make my own food, word too. #NeverAgain read more

Wish I'd checked Yelp first. The cannoli wasn't bad but the staff was incredibly inattentive, the music loud and terrible, and the decor is ugly and really run down. While it's on Arthur Avenue and has Italian coffee, there is nothing charming or Italian about it. Too bad.... read more

If I was able to give negative stars ya, I would. Super rude and inattentive staff! Was there with my family yesterday and the girl walked us over to the table looks like she didn't want to be there mimicking the walking dead pretty much. She gave us menus and then walked away and didn't return for like 10 minutes. Another waiter came over just stared at us and gave us a dirty look and we were like hi and she goes hi what are you guys one and we told her that we had someone else that was our waitress. The original girl came back out and said what? So we told her we wanted to order. Pretty much everything we wanted off the menu she said they didn't have. Then, my father orders a ricotta cheesecake &a she comes back 10 minuets later and says she doesn't have that kind only original & he said he wanted it. She never came back and we had to tell another waitress just to find out they actually gave no cheesecake whatsoever. Now, time for the bill and no asking how we were enjoying. It wasn't until 20 minutes later another girl came to clean off a nearby table and we asked her to get the check, I'm not kidding you; "Ugh okay!" With her rolling her eyes and it wasn't until another 10 minutes passed until we all go up and walked inside to get the check and the girl says, what do you want? Are you kidding me? How dare you treat customers this way! My husband and I even walked four blocks, got into her car, and more directed around two in the front of the restaurant, and in that time they were just walking out to our table to clean it off. My family and I have been going down to Arthur Avenue for as long as I can remember! Truly the worst business in the neighborhood. They should be ashamed to even call themselves a restaurant. Take it from me, do yourself a favor and save your money and stay far away from this place! read more

The coffee is fine but there's better places around. Don't come here expecting great service. The waitresses are known to get snippy.

Was intrigued to go in because of the decor and cleanliness, but that is pretty much it. Service was terrible , had originally ordered a grilled chicken sandwich on a panini ( because it was an option on the menu ) , had specified I wanted it on a panini 3x. When the order was brought to my table , it was on a hero. Then she says , sorry the panini is no longer an option here . I felt like she should have warned me before continuing with the order , instead of just bringing out a sandwich I did not order. Then my boyfriend had ordered their Luna brunch burger.... he hated it. He described it to taste like a school cafeteria burger. I am not sure if the waitress was new , but she never asked us if we liked our food , or checked up on us. The cappuccinos were the only good thing in this location. Maybe just stick to coffee instead of food. Overall did not have a good experience in this location. read more

These place I would give it a zero before when open gave grate service now they give shitty service . When come in they ignore you cause you not Albanian and you don't look you have money . One of the best casual Albanian/American food places. You should try the Luna toast with the beef jerky! You will not be disappointed! The coffee of course is great and so are the desserts. Working in the area, I stop by for a coffee and a muffin. Have been there in the past and everything is usually pretty good this time the staff was busy in the conversation until the manager came along and had them pay some attention to me. Finally I get my muffin and my coffee just to find out that the muffin was not fresh, it was hard and inedible. With the Manny small shop serving coffee and pastries in the area it will be easy to find a replacement. read more

Worst service ever. Completely ignored even after we asked waitress who said she'd be right over.

I had an hamburger and fries. the only good thing were the fries and the bun, green lettuce, red onions and tomatoe. the burger was like an eight of an inch thick. I could not even taste it because the bun was so large. I will never eat there again. I should have gone to Burger King instead. read more
