We came here for dinner this evening. It's located on the 5th floor of the Lumiares Hotel, where we are staying. We originally came a couple of days ago just to check out the roof deck for drinks, and get a nice view of Lisbon, but we learned that the restaurant is owned by a famous chef in Portugal, Chef Miguel Castro e Silva and decided to give it a try.
We got fabulous service, as they weren't especially very busy. Seems that more people go there for tapas and drinks outside the rooftop, than actually sit down for a full dinner. Our waiter, who grew up in Lisbon spoke excellent English, and was very patient, friendly and helpful throughout our entire meal. This made it especially enjoyable.
We tried and the risotto with cockles, the cod, the gyoza, and seabass. I didn't care much for the gyoza in a chestnut cream, but I really liked the cockles. Both fish items were fresh and we'll presented.
The decor and ambiance was nice, but the prices and small portions were very similar to what you'd find in the States at a higher end restaurant. There was also a tasting menu, as well, but we weren't up for a long drawn out meal tonight.
We enjoyed it here, but would've enjoyed it more, if the restaurant was busier, which would've given it a nice buzz. read more
