Oops sorry!] I was putting my home up for sale and needed a few small repairs before the home inspection. Well, I totally got my dates mixed up and it turned out that I only had two days to make these fixes (otherwise they'd be marked on the inspection report, which we didn't want! I ended up calling Diablo Valley handyman as they were recommended to me by a neighbor. I called first thing in the morning, and I believe I spoke with the actual owner (James.) I told him my situation and even though it sounded like he had a pretty full schedule, he was able to have somebody up the very next day to not only assess everything, but actually make the repairs! We needed to have a fence repaired , a new staircase hand-railing put up, some minor trim fixes around our windows. And then quite a few window screens needed replacing. (We have cats, lol) The fact that they were able to come out on such short notice, make all the repairs in one day, plus the guys that showed up to do the work were warm and friendly! After all of this, I absolutely expected to pay a high premium, however, the invoice came back for a more than reasonable amount! (It was a bit higher than the original estimate over the phone, but that was our fault because we forgot to tell them about the window screens!) Getting ready to sell a house is maddening and so stressful. Do Diablo Valley handyman was one of the only aspects that put us at ease during this entire process! Mark kept me informed with all the progress each day, and his attention to detail ensured that everything ended up looking great. When we contacted Mazariegos Builder, we needed our sliding glass tub door fixed, our linoleum and trim by the tub replaced, and new caulking in the tub. Yoel was amazing! He is so knowledgeable and skilled at his job. Our sliding glass tub door wouldn't stay closed, and he fixed it so that it stays closed when someone is in the shower. His caulking work is flawless, and the linoleum he put down looks perfect as well. In addition to his amazing work, he was very kind! He even offered to get me lunch when he went to get his own! He gave me a price, very reasonable, for labor and said the parts would be separate. I could buy them or he would, whichever I preferred. I picked up a quartz remnant from a local shop, ordered the sink online, and Armando bought the wood. He was frugal in suggesting we reuse parts wherever possible. He completed the work within a day and I couldn't be happier. A crummy little sink and countertop that we haven't been able to use in the 31 years we've lived in this house is finally an attractive and useful component in our backyard "kitchen".
