When you get inside you get taco shop vibes and they give you the option to sign the wall. And there are already hundreds of precious signatures along with drawings all over the walls. The woman who takes your orders in the nicest person that you would ever meet. They give you some nice little stickers after we ate. Just a great place to go to if you want some good food. We were six people and the food that we all ordered was out in like 15-20 minutes. The BLTA was immaculate. It tasted like homemade bread and was super filling. The California (burger) was very good with a tender patty with chrispy bacon and fresh guacamole. The Malibu was really good the hamburger bun was soft and flakey the meat was tender and juicy. The fries were MASSIVE a little bit undercooked in the center but perfect on the outside overall great fires.

We chose the Bacon burger with fries to share. Both made hot and fresh, and though the bacon could have been a little crisper it was very tasty. The downside was the cost. I felt it was pretty steep for simple fair. Maybe it's the location and today's prices of ingredients? If you are passing through and want a quick bite this may be the place for you.

We drove past Polar Bear on the way back up to Klamath Falls and decided to stop in to try a…read moreburger. I agree with the other reviewers who say that the employees at Polar Bear aren't very friendly or prompt but what matters more to me is the food. They do fry the burgers to order but the employees don't work particularly hard or fast. It took around 15 minutes with only one order ahead of us. Polar Bear has an indoor dining area, but it was locked, so only tables outside were available. Unfortunately it was quite chilly that day and it was raining off and on, necessitating us to eat in the car. Bacon Burger w/ Cheese ($11.75) - A pretty tall, but not particularly hefty burger. The meat itself is cooked through, not salted that heavily, and gives off a good beefy taste. It's grilled on the flat top, but only just enough to cook through, so there isn't too much developed char to create more flavor complexity. There's plenty of veggies included - tomato, onion and pickles on top, and what seems to be hand shredded lettuce on the bottom. The bacon is chewy and gives a salty kick - definitely real bacon rather than the microwavable kind that some places cheap out on. The burger includes some mayo, but they are pretty light with it. The cheese and veggies give more than enough moisture to not need copious amounts of mayo. There is a major issue with this sandwich - the bottom bun almost completely sogs up, becoming mushy and loaded with liquid. I believe this may be due to improperly spun lettuce after washing, allowing all the wash water to saturate the bun. That's not very pleasant to eat, although the top bun seems to be decently toasted. (3/5) The burger comes with fries that are unevenly sprinkled with seasoning salt. Some pieces are especially salty, while others are only lightly salted. The fries are on the floppier end, fully cooked with tender interiors, but not particularly crisp in any capacity. (3/5) Polar Bear is okay. It does in a pinch but I'm sure there are better burgers and fries to find elsewhere. Bathrooms - None available in the restaurant, but there are public restrooms right next door.

The entrance was hard to find, walked in and stood at the bar for a few minutes. Said we wanted to order some draft beer and the one we ordered ran out half way through a pour where the bartender said they needed to change the keg. We asked if we could grab a table and sat there a while.. Finally I went back up to the bar thinking she would of brought us out or signaled "Hey here's your beer" but nothing. When I asked about our beer she said, Oh we switched it to a different keg.. So I ordered different beer and asked if we could order food, menu was on the wall.. The ordering process but a tad confusing..Do we seat ourselves, where are the menus, do you we order at the bar? The bartender didn't seemed helpful or like she really cared to be honest. We ordered the rainbow roll and lemon drop roll (something like that). Both came out, no small plates just the dishes and small saucers for soy sauce. Neither roll was good at all, no taste, mostly rice, definitely zero lemon flavor, fishy taste on both but could of been due to the sushi nori. We didn't expect great sushi rolls but these we the worst we've had since we could remember. Not only that, pretty sure the sushi rolls are the option for food in this place. The atmosphere is super divey, more like an outdated locals hang out, everything was just kind of gross. Wouldn't return.

Warm friendly atmosphere where you feel you've stepped back in another time dimension where you're greeted at the door and the small town where you feel welcome. This is in the historic building where this was the original butcher shop for the logging company, Mother McCloud, surrounded by history of when the town was completely self sufficient. Priceless. Our dinners were amazing. The steaks grilled to perfection. My grandson had surf & turf, my granddaughter was a super thumbs up thrilled with her NY steak. My Cobb salad more plentiful than I could image. Everyone was laughing and enjoying theirselves along with the friendliest staff interactions. I cannot wait to go again. Butcher Block is a must for food, service, and ambience. I would recommend calling for reservations around 4:00 pm as this hot spot filled up quickly.

We did a Crater Lake National Park trip and stayed in the area for a couple of nights. This restaurant is located inside the casino and you can get gas too. The hours are generous and menu is vast (for being in a small town). Where we stayed had a microwave and fridge, so we decided to order larger portions of our meals to eat the leftovers the next night. We got the chicken parm and a full rack of ribs. The house salad was surprisingly good - crisp romaine (no sad iceberg here) with some tomatoes and cucumbers. The chicken parm was not good - large portions and the accompanying garlic bread was delish. The ribs were tender, sauced well, and was definitely the tastier entree out of the 2. It seems like the consensus for the reviews are to stick with the burgers, steak, and ribs. The service was pretty half-hearted, but to be expected since they seem like they are perpetually understaffed. Overall, prices are reasonable for being the only game in town and as long as you manage your expectations, it is a good enough place to get a hot meal. Parking: easy
