This review is mainly for a sales associate named Brianna who helped me out today! She was absolutely wonderful! She helped me out with a return, an exchange and an order for an item from another store. It was a little busy this morning but she was patient, explained thoroughly what my options where for the exchange (exchange vs buying etc) and did each transaction efficiently and quickly. Very professional and delightful to speak to! I've worked retail before and I know how stressful complicated transactions can be when a line is forming at the register (esp during the holidays). they've recently moved from down the st (maybe a few months ago?), and i have to say, this new space rocks! it's huge...i don't think i've ever seen a lululemon store this big before! it's big, colourful, and displays tons of product in every size and colour. there's also restrooms in the back, near the fitting room area. very nice layout and space galore. they're continuing their free community events here, with run club, yoga, and other fitness classes (see their website for monthly classes). i didn't get a chance to try on any of their fabulous clothes this time, but i'll definitely be back to get my "lu-on" next time. very excited to try out some of their new spring products, the bright colours really popped. read more

Is all true about the bad reviews in this store, the customer service is awful. They should send their employees and managers to Palo Alto or SF for customer service training, those store have top customer service and know how to treat people. This is my favorite Lululemon store. The ones in SF feel too uptight (I'm not able to purchase an item every time I visit.) The employees in this store is friendly and helpful. They have a good variety and selection. So far I haven't had a problem with finding my size other than waiting too long to jump on a jacket I was eyeing. I docked off two stars because of the 3 pair of pants I have purchase 2 of them have been hemmed to an incorrect length. One too short and one too long (still had to tuck in another 3 inches). For the too short pair, I feel like I am rocking the Urkle look. It's definitely frustrating since I get my pants hemmed for a reason. I'm not sure if the ladies are marking the length placement incorrectly or the person is hemming my pants at an incorrect length. read more

Worst customer service ever! The ladies that I came across were all super rude. I was "greeted" by a sales girl so that she could hold my bag for me (immediately felt that she thought I was going to steal something). When I told her I wanted to get my pants hemmed by their usual crop length, she didn't know what that length was and I had to try it on--no consideration for the fact that I was also holding my baby--so she took my bag to a fitting room. I told her I wouldn't be able to take my pants off or on with my full hands and so she finally says "oh I can look up the inseam of the crop (no kidding, thanks!). I wanted to exchange one pair since the stitching came undone and Lululemon has always had a great policy in taking back pants with ripped stitching. I guess it was up to her and the manager to interpret Lululemon's policy--what I didn't appreciate the most is that the salesgirl claimed the policy just changed two weeks. She made sure to speak to the manager before I did so they would get on the same page. Lululemon is an amazing brand with amazing products! This store in particular needs to hire nicer people that really know how to uphold the policies. I will never step foot in this store again. read more

Went to this Lululemon location on Wednesday so it was not busy at all. I was interested in getting a jacket and asked if there was any other colors beside black and burgundy. They told me NO. I asked if they can check online if any additional colors are available. They came back after few min and told me NO, that this is the only colors that this jacket comes in. I did not buy it went home and guess what found the exact same jacket online in NINE DIFFERENT COLORS. Girls are high energy, knowledgeable and honest! brought in a pair of pants for alterations and realized as i was about 3 miles away that i had left my sunglasses in the dressing room. I have had continued bad experiences here. I have had pants tailored here and they simply never did it, picked them up and the hem was not done... wasted several days. Most recently I returned some items and the store told me it was store credit only because they had been warn and they didn't carry the shorts anymore... the exact same shorts were hanging in front of me five feet away. Came here just before Sundays super bowl festivities were going to take place, and I bet it surprised the hell out of some folks that a short little Asian guy knows his way around this predominantly female store haha. At a whims notice I inquired about where to find 6 seperate types of athletic pants. And with using only the titles described on the price tag, the sole female I asked for assistance from was able to pinpoint to the correct size as to where it is and the colors they sell without having to even look through the hanger rows All Asians sizes are available in this store but not online since online seems to sell out like an inside trading job on the stock market A number of popular things including run inspire pants are on markdown in case someone needs an dea for valentines day.. Sure you can find comparable pricing in lower brand names. But try finding the same complimentary quality as well as material handling and hemming elsewhere. My friend went in to the store today to browse and see what new clothing was available in store. The associates and manager at the time kept following her and started harassing her as if she was trying to steal product. Also directing her to go to the sale section assuming she couldn't afford full price product. This was such a racial behavior I was extremely upset when she told me she felt forced to buy a $130 jacket! She is extremely upset and felt so uncomfortable that she does not want to go back to this location. I have not heard of such unprofessional behavior from this team. I am extremely upset and disappointed. I understand this store has been hit multiple people of color but to go ahead and accuse a regular shopper of thievery is disturbing. This store is very organized and the staff are all very friendly and do their best to help. I do find that the sizes at Lululemon are a little smaller than normal and many times I get home and regret not buying a size up. Lululemon is also on the pricey side of the market. I stopped by today to return a brand new sports bra and underwear that were ripped after being washed prior to any use. The "manager", a very young and inexperienced woman, insisted that I present the receipt. I explained how I used my Paypal account for online purchase And didn't save the online receipt. The manager refused to budge and proceeded to give me some spiel on contacting GEC. Seriously Lululemon?! You make poor quality items (perhaps a QC issue?) and then insist I have a receipt when the items have the lulu logo and clearly look like they've never been used. I would recommend improving your quality control or training your managers to show a little bit of flexibility. read more

Attention ALL SALES ARE FINAL!!!!!! Ok let me first start by telling you how I am. I don't like to waste time, or be stuck in an uncomfortable situation. I will call a restaurant on a super hot day to make sure they have AC, I will also call a store to make sure they have a product that I am specifically looking for as opposed to driving all the way to where ever to find out they don't. Catch my drift, common sense. So I am so stoked that I am even at Lululemon. I have stayed dedicated to my work out long enough and often enough to where I am actually wearing out my work out gear. Right on I think, what an accomplishment. I had heard that Lulu has the best work out pants and they last forever. I thought well heck yes, I'm at that level in my game, I'll invest in quality for a great cause, my health. So I go in and the first thing I tell the girl helping me is that I need pants that DO NOT SHOW SWEAT. She shows me some options. I choose the long black reversible with the cute little pocket to hold my keys and I see that a pair of gray Capri's are on sale for $60. Again I ask, so these don't show sweat, again she tells me no. I probably asked a total of twelve times about the sweat issue because I could not believe that gray work out attire does not reveal sweat. She's the expert right!????.....Wrong!!!! Already long story longer, I worked out and the gray pants revealed sweat, which is no bueno since I run outside in public. It looked like I wet my pants. I was really embarrassed to return them because they were worn and sweat in, but HELLO, this is EXACTLY what I was trying to avoid and if the girl helping me wasn't so busy playing with a puppy that another customer had brought in, she would have heard me ask her a million times the same question.....DO THESE SHOW SWEAT??? Needless to say they would not take them back or even think of it, plus the label said all sale items are final, which I did not even notice at the time so basically even if the tag was attached, they would not have taken them back. So in the end my clear communication on exactly what I did not want back fired. Wow Lulu, for the amount of $$$ your product costs, your policy SUCKS! I may as well go to Target and pay $20 for five pairs of workout pants rather than $100 for one that you don't even stand behind. read more

We had solid service today. Sabrina and Norton were very helpful with helping choose workout shorts and top, Sabrina gave excellent explanations and details of their different men's shorts, tops and dress workout pants. I needed workout clothes for Orange theory. Initially it was intimidating walking in as a male, but they were attentive and polite. I came in with my wife. Cool changing rooms, they came by often to see if anything else was needed. Free alterations way cool. Seamstress lady- young blonde knew her stuff. Excellent quality you get what you pay for, seems like they have an excellent "lifetime warranty ". Good experience. read more

Okay so I'm clearly going to make the die-hard lululemon fans really angry but I did not have a good experience here. Not once, not twice, but three separate times many, many months apart. The first time, the staff was really helpful and greeted me and even tried to help me find my size, which didn't happen, because the bulk of the inventory is geared toward women who are already very fit. At the time, I was a 14, so it wasn't gonna happen. Let me tell you, bigger girls want to look cute while sweating their asses off too! So I left very downtrodden and got my gear at Lucy up the street. I decided to give it another try several months and many lost pounds later. This time, the staff was less friendly. They weren't rude, they just ignored me. Possibly the fact that I don't look anything like the typical lululemon demographic has a lot to do with it - and yes, there IS a typical lululemon demographic. There were so many cute things I would have bought immediately BUT, there was nothing in my size, which was a 12. I was told that they only get a certain amount of "big sizes" in, like 10 and 12 (excuse me, 12 is an average size for the American woman) and that they always get loads of 8, 6, and smaller. Let that sink in a second. You are trying to get fit. You may not already BE fit. You will NEVER wear lululemon unless you are at least a 10 because the three or four size 12's they order sell out immediately. I left again feeling like shit. This past week I went in with my teenage daughter and there were at least 6 girls on the floor. NOT ONE said anything to either of us. They were very busy talking to each other about what they were wearing, and whatever else they were talking about. I looked through the racks and saw many cute things but nothing in my size - again. But I wasn't surprised this time. I even purposely tried to look like I NEEDED help and sales girls walked right past me. That made me angry. I own a business and if any of my staff ever ignored a customer like that they would not work there. I went to the register and asked if they would ever get in sizes larger than 8. The counter girl told me that typically they don't have much above an 8. I don't DO yoga, I'm a boxer and a surfer. I am not a tiny person but I am very fit. I am not lithe and I do not move like a ballerina. However, I do like to look good when I go to work out and even after leaving the gym. I am saddened to know that I will never ever be able to wear lululemon's super cute ruffle jacket but I will also never go back to that store because I felt like they were incredibly indifferent to us and that is never okay in a retail environment - especially when I would have actually bought quite a few things. read more

I started my yoga journey 10 years ago right here! They used to offer free Sunday morning Yoga classes with amazing local teachers in the neighborhood, and I started coming here almost religiously! I've always felt welcome and never felt awkward being a minority as well as a male in the predominantly female environment. Now, 10 years into my yoga practice, which I mostly do at home and in the local studios, I still come here to shop for their very high-quality clothes, and they still have amazing fitness classes (not just Yoga) a few times a month! They really believe in their lifestyle brand and the attractive staff members practice what they preach! Called customer service and was told they stand by the store. This is the first time I felt like I was a criminal or something. They feel good AND make YOU feel good. They're four-way stretch and moisture wicking (according to the nice "educator"* who helped me out whilst shopping) *Side note/cool fact: Lululemon sales associates are called "educators" because, rather than pesteringly selling you their stuff, they'll just tell you all the cool shit about the product and let you make the decision. Forget plastic surgery. Investing in a pair of their Groove pants is much less expensive than getting a Brazilian butt lift! Yes, they are that good at making a woman look as if she has spent hours doing squats and lunges. Lulu makes some really well constructed pieces that are perfect for low impact workouts and for wearing while just hanging out. The tops and bottoms are designed to make the wearers look great, feel great and show off all the hard work they have put in order to be able to wear these clothes! Yes, the items are pricey but they last a long time and do not fade, tear or unravel through multiple washings. The only downside is all the special instructions that must be followed for washing items made of luon. The clothes fit me to a T and their compression tops aren't too tight, nor do they emphasize parts of the body that should stay hidden. When working out I find the clothes stay in place and breathe well. Of all the locations, I find myself gravitating to this one due to the friendly service, well stocked inventory, and relatively easy parking. Be aware of their return policy before making a purchase, especially on sale items. They are pretty strict about sticking to their policy. That being said I have found some great pieces on the sale rack. read more

This review is strictly about the location, not the lululemon brand. My customer service experience was poor, so I had to share my thoughts. I came into the store to buy a yoga mat and to return my shorts. I didn't have the tags or the receipt, but don't like them and hoped they could accommodate an exchange. Emily helped me and had an attitude from the beginning. She didn't return the shorts, which is fine (I ended up returning them in two seconds at the Walnut Creek location), but she even said "these don't even fit you, they're a 36." I responded, "actually they are 32 and they fit fine". Her insinuating the shorts weren't mine was annoying and offensive. Don't question my integrity. I know she's just a retail clerk but the store manager should do a better job of training the staff. read more

Came in to grab a few Lululemon essentials when I was in the Burlingame area today. I wanted to give myself some extra inspiration in the lead up weeks before my half-marathon race. New tracks on the iPod and new threads from Lululemon usually does the trick. I got another pair of the compression "Running with my Homies" crops, which make your gams and backside look great by the way. Ultra comfortable, moisture-wicking, chafe-resistant and figure flattering. I took these crops on a test drive last month at a half-marathon race and they felt great and the hidden pockets were very handy for keys and energy gels. I grabbed a few of the racerback tank tops and a couple of the Y Free Flow sports bras to test drive this week too. The staff here are really great, some of the finest. Kimberly and a few other Lululemon "educators" really made this Lululemon experience one of the best I've had. They took their time listening to my needs, bringing products and different sizes to my fitting room and keeping me well-informed about product details and upcoming events. My friend, a fitness and spin instructor, an avid runner and a Lululemon devotee, turned me onto this cool brand about a year ago. I'm forever thankful :-) read more

I've visited other Lululemon locations, e.g. Union Street, Downtown San Francisco, but haven't been greeted or assisted as well as I have at my neighborhood store. I'm so glad to have stumbled upon this gem because it's the best location I've been to so far! The staff at the Burlingame Lululemon are friendly, helpful, and not to mention, knowledgeable about the products they sell. Often times, I'll walk in looking for a particular item I saw online, and based on a simple description, they'll know exactly what I'm talking about and point me in the right direction. They even suggest similar items that I may also want to try. A+ for service! As for the products, if you don't already know, Lululemon is unsurpassed in women's sportswear. At first, it may seem like the items are overpriced, but let me tell you, they're a worthwhile investment. To date, I have 6+ tops, 3 shorts/pants, and 2 of their signature Scuba hoodies, in addition to numerous bags and accessories. There's just something about donning a cute outfit before a workout that motivates you so much more! The designs, styles, and fits are all perfect! One of my favorite LLLs in the Bay Area (possibly in the US). They have a great selection of items here. Everyone is extremely friendly, attentive and willing to help. They're always informative when I have a question or concern. They're willing to give their opinion when I need it, without making me feel like they're trying to sell me something. I went here Sunday morning with my mom to try out their free Sunday morning yoga classes. We showed up at 9:30 AM and it was already pretty packed. Alex was our yogi that instructed us and he was very nice and entertaining. The class was about 1hr and 30 min long and I did work up a tiny sweat. (Not as bad as my Yoga workout at Planet Granite) Since it was a bit crowded, he didn't have time to correct us if we were holding the position wrong, but he did come by once to help me out. I'd say this class was not bad at all considering it was free. Lululemon also offered orange juice and fruit after our Yoga workout! Tip: come early so you'll have a good spot. =) read more

I don't shop here, but I LOVE the free yoga classes they offer Sundays at 9:30 am! They have some great yoga instructors with varied styles, and the classes fill up fast, so I would definitely recommend getting here at least 10 minutes early before the whole floor fills up. I've had this happen to me before, and we just gave up and had brunch nearby. Just a little over an hour and technically for all levels, but it helps if you've taken prior classes since it's hard to get individual attention with such a huge class. read more

I love lululemon. I buy way more lululemon than I should, or that I need to be honest. Basically, it's a lululemon store. Need I say more? You know about the quality, the price and the yoga pants (which are a godsend). So let me explain to you about the Burlingame store... It is actually my favorite location in the Bay Area. The staff has always been friendly, attentive and not super stuck up like most of the other locations. When I'm in the bay, I'll drive the 45 minutes to check out this location before hitting any others. It's also a bit larger and for some reason, I really like the layout. Parking can be a pain since it's on the main street, but park behind the buildings and you're good to go! (I usually park behind pottery barn & walk right through... one right turn and you're at LULU! *happy dance*) Shout out to the asian girl that works here - I forgot her name but she's the real MVP. She's super knowledgeable about the products and helped me to find everything I needed. She's incredibly friendly & down to earth as well. Thanks girl! (I'll update if I figure out her name!) I picked out a bright pink pepto-bismol sweatshirt here. I've been wearing it nonstop. I even wore it on Valentine's Day with my bright pink shoes. I wore it when I was vacationing in Hong Kong. I wore it because in a crowd of people, I'd stand out. And that's hard to do, if you look like me, and so does everyone else in Hong Kong. Can't lose me. I love this store. I'm really happy with the quality of their clothes and definitely the look and style, but I have to agree that they are expeeeensive. $89 for pants, $49 for a top... sheesh. I got into yoga because I thought, "Great, all I need is a mat and a willing attitude!" Sometimes people spend more time in their yoga pants than they do in their jeans and if you're going to do just that then you might as well invest in yoga/play clothes that look good. I received my first pair of pants as an unexpected present. They didn't quite fit and I was told I could drop in any store and they would exchange and make alterations if necessary. Since the Burlingame location is the closest to me, I decided to check it out. Surprisingly the experience was very positive. From the time I stepped in the store till the time I left, their customer service seemed constant and genuine without being too pushy. I was able to find pants that fit, but needed to be hemmed. I was impressed that the fitting room attendant addressed everyone by their first name. Yes the clothes are a bit pricey but if you spend a good amount of your weekend in workout clothes anyway and you want to be comfy then Lululemon is a good place to invest. read more

Awful experience at Lululemon. I was absolutely profiled as I shopped this store based on my race. Similar to others no one offered to help me and assisted white customers and I even had an employee write down every item I took into the changing room and when I asked why they said it was for security reasons! While the white customer in the dressing room next to me only had a 5 (for 5 items) vs each item taken in. Odd. I asked the young lady why this was and she said all the ones she did had each item written down....IDK. Didn't feel right. I have been to this location several times and on average spend between $300-$400. Not this time and not again. Athletica is right next door, I'll be checking them out and giving them a shot for my business. read more
