Okay, long-time Margaret O'Leary fan here! I have always loved her sweaters, but when she branched out into cottons and cotton tees? I'm obsessed! My aunt and I recently visited the Burlingame Margaret O'Leary store and couldn't have been happier. First off, I want to say that as two women who have extreme allergies, I deeply appreciate the fact that Margaret O'Leary never sprays scent on their clothes, never uses chemical air fresheners, and never has scented incense sticks or candles on their stores. I absolutely cannot stand buying new clothes from a boutique and walking out with a migraine and clothes that reek of fragrance and scent! The stores are always designed beautifully, have hardwood floors (which deters fleas that dogs tend to track inside), and are clean clean clean! I also want to take a minute to shout out the wonderful Jaqueline (Jacklin?) who helped us while we shopped. She was so so personable, kind, hard working, and lovely. To be completely honest, we loved her so much that my aunt and I decided to frequent the Burlingame location in the future (we typically go to the Mill Valley store)! read more

I recently discovered Margaret O'Leary and I love their clothes. Their cashmere, in particular, is top quality. I can always find something suitable because the general style is not too dressy--more everyday, or nice casual evening. I must compliment the service, too. Priscilla is most attentive and offers wonderful feedback when trying on clothes. And, she is always pleasant and welcoming. I wish the prices were not as expensive, but considering the quality and fit, they can be justified--even if only a few pieces a year. Highly recommend. read more

I used to love this shop and I've spent a pretty penny here but for the third time in recent weeks the staff at this store have failed to follow thru with promises to find out-of-stock items in other Margaret O'Leary stores when their computer system shows availability. Promises were made multiple times to call me back with info or to contact the other stores. Honestly, the staff seems completely inept and they have lost my business. There is an older woman working in the Burlingame store who just seems confused and extremely forgetful. My most recent attempt was today for an exchange of a defective item that I received from their online shop. This time it was a young sales person who completely dropped the ball. The quality of the the clothing has also definitely deteriorated. Cannot recommend this company. Service is terrible. read more

ITEMS: "M.o.l." Has the softest knits ever - feels like a luxurious warm hug. Everything else in the store is most top notch quality. The leather goods and cashmere were totally worth it for me. (No point in buying itchy cashmere at a cheaper price..) - this cashmere is actually SOFT like clouds. If you think of it as "cost per wear" it's worth it. SERVICE: Sam was helpful from beginning to end with my purchase and even helped deliver items to my home that weren't in store. Appreciated her expertise and styling tips! She helped me narrow down to what I really wanted. It's as if she knows me better than I know myself with the styling choices! read more

I love Margaret O'Leary clothing. Recently I find that I cannot wear cashmere so the cotton tops and sweater are a blessing. I shopped in Burlingame on October 10, 2019 in the morning. The customer service at this store was just awful. The sales woman asked if I had any questions. When I told her I was looking for cotton tees and sweaters, she told me they were scattered throughout the store. She then went back to her paperwork, or whatever she was doing. There were no other customers in the store the entire time I was shopping. I literally had to look through every stack of clothing to find cotton tops in my size. She was completely unhelpful. This service was in stark contrast to the Margaret O'Leary store in Boston I visited earlier this year where the sales woman found EVERY cotton sweater and tee shirt in the store and brought them to my dressing room for me to try on. read more

Margaret O'Leary has long been one of my favorite clothing lines. She's pricey, but when you want the best that's where you go. Today I stopped in because I needed a light summer cardigan. I found a lot to choose from, and was helped out big time by sales gal Niki. I ended up with a mountain of candidates to choose from. Every time I said, "I love it, but do you have something more like XX instead?" Niki ran over and dug up the perfect candidate. In the end all of the options were so good that instead of one cardi I got three. But they're gorgeous, and I know they'll keep looking chic for years to come. read more

Wow! What a fabulous boutique! Her knits and sweaters are just 2die4! Their Winter Sale is going on now and most of the merchandise is 50% off. I love the color palette: brights and warm neutrals and then some cool neutrals. Each piece is made with quality and care. And that's not awesome enough, the SAs are friendly, enthusiastic, yet never pushy! Ladies, run---don't walk to this great find! read more

Such a cute boutique with the best selection of beautiful quality knits in Burlingame Ave. Every time I walk in just to browse, I seem to always leave with something in my bag!! Especially when the gals that work there help me and suggest something that is right for me. I end up leaving with something that I would have never put together. Discovered Margaret O'Leary when they opened their boutique in Burlingame. They have a fabulous line of clothes - always something different then you would see in the big stores. I started with their sweaters and soon became addicted to their pants. ( Never found any better fitting pants in my life before them.) Now, I am addicted to their "fingerless" gloves and am collecting them in all the colors. The staff is awesome and always know what direction to point me in regarding sizing and what looks best on me. I was beginning to believe that great customer service doesn't exist any more and then I found Margaret's......you too will be hooked! read more

This is a wonderful shop--especially the beautiful sweaters and great bags/jewelry. I like how the staff is never pushy, and they let you browse at your own pace. I rarely leave without finding something that ends up being a favorite in my wardrobe. I also love how they have other locations, so if they don't have your size, they can get it for you.
