Love the convenience of this location on the corner of Southport and Addison! This is your standard lululemon, but it's a great size, especially for busy SP Corridor. I love that they typically have multiple sizes and styles in stock, making the shopping process that much smoother. If you're trying on clothes, there are multiple fitting rooms and friendly staff working to assist you. The gals and guys working are quick to grab different sizes when necessary. Of course the biggest downside of lululemon is the prices, but the quality of products is definitely there. The leggings and workout tops I've gotten here have lasted years longers than some other brands, so I do think splurging for a few key pieces is absolutely worth it. Best part is it's doggy friendly! They'll sometimes host yoga or group fitness classes in the store, which I have not taken advantage of but it's definitely on my list to do! read more

The downside is, if you're looking for something specific to buy here then this store isn't for you, they are out of many items which isn't a surprise (as it's summer so many are here to buy summer wear). This company will hold you hostage for their sale as how can i get the original card when it's out of state. Can send the package back and charge you shipping. OOOOOOOK, Listen, I was a skeptic, a true "I'm not going to spend THAT much" on work out clothes, long live (insert other clothing brand here) attire. Fast forward to some not so good workouts and here I am, in the Lulu store. Shopping around/with "those people". I tried on a few items, because I had no idea what size I would be here. The staff were VERY friendly and not pushy at all. They were easy going to chat with and helpful. I ended up buying three tops and have worn them all a few times since. Yes. There is a difference while wearing and yes it is worth every penny. I attend classes at Shred415 and yup, these tops are much easier to move around in. Gorgeous, spacious corner store with plenty of styles and sizes. A wide variety of both men's and women's wear is on display, plus an incredible shoe line when you walk in. There is also quite the selection of equipment, from yoga mats to bags to straps and water bottles. More stores are offering community events and complimentary exercise classes. I came here for a 9:00am high intensity interval training class led by a trainer from Crosstown Fitness. The class was packed (about 25-30 women and men) and it was an *intense* body-weight workout (in brief: 50-40-30-20 second intervals of upper and lower body movements, 9 total rounds)! No equipment was necessary and mats were provided. I appreciated the complimentary maple water, bananas, and protein bars available after class too. I'm looking forward to trying a yoga flow class and meeting up with the run club for a 3-5 mile run around the city! It's hard to find leggings length 23" so they helped me get a pair I bought hemmed. I didn't like how they turned out so they were able to help me get them altered the way I wanted them. This review is purely about the return policy. Tried to buy a couple items for my husband after Christmas I find it hard to accept in this day and age that you can't exchange something for a store credit. They said no way. Meaning if I bought a sale item and they didn't fit you couldn't even get a store credit. Not looking for a refund but certainly a store credit is reasonable. Poor policy and I will think twice about shopping there. For the price of things they should be more flexible. read more

To be honest, I always pre-judged Lululemon as a place for a certain age bracket and gender to enjoy a half-caf double tall non-fat 1 Splenda 170 degree no foam light whip latte kinda person. My friend one day was wearing what looked like super comfy, but really nice pants (ABC Joggers) and I scoffed when he said they were from LLL (I scoffed at the price too). I went with him to the Southport location (temporarily relocated on Roscoe and Southport) and from there had 2 of the nicest shopping experiences of my life. Love this location! It's a pretty big store and on Saturdays they have free workout classes! This month it is barre from Pure Barre. They also have a run club that meets every Wednesday night. Their merchandise selection is large and their staff is really nice. I don't shop here too often because it's pricey but when I want to treat myself this is where I go. :) read more

This is by far the best Lulu of the many I shop at! I recently got a jacket for Christmas and after only a few wears the zipper fell off. I took it in the the Lincoln Park Armitage store and the girl told me all she could do was take it to their tailor and I wouldn't get it back for 4-6 weeks. I decided to take it to my own tailor and see what they could do, but once I heard the cost ($28) I figured I should have Lulu do it for me. I took the jacket into Southport this time by convenience and straight away asked if they could tailor it for me. The girl helping me went above and beyond and didn't hesitate to order me a new one since she didn't have my size in store- I didn't even expect her to replace it like that! I ended up buying a few other things that day because I was so happy that she replaced it for me. Moral of the story: I will always be shopping at the Southport location now! read more

I invested in some pants for marathon training and I bought the pants that were recommended to me by an employee. I specifically asked for running pants so I assume the material would be soft but durable, as promised. I know that Lulu pieces are supposed to be investments and that the company takes care of their products. Excited to see how they would hold up, I went for a run as soon as I got home. I tripped and the pants ripped. I took it back and the associate was rather rude and told me that it was not due to the material, but because something happened to them.. I have cheap fabletics leggings that have survived much worse.. so when I suggested that it was perhaps a performance issue I was told all they could do was send to repairs and that they could NOT swap it out. I left not feeling right about how it was handled, so I messaged customer service online and they were more than happy to do a performance return which is what I expected the store to do as well. When I went back to the store to tell them that I needed the pants back because the online customer service offered a performance return, they gave them back but didn't offer the same. I was in a time crunch and I ended up going to another Lulu store and they gave me a return without hesitations or questions asked. So why wasn't this location able to do the same ? The other store even gave me recommendations that this store didn't... I recommend Lululemon but NOT this location.... read more

Lululemon is definitely a store for people who like to wear workout clothes. A lot of people complain about the prices here, but there are definitely some people (like those whose profession is in fitness) that have to wear these clothes all the time. I feel like lululemon is the Banana Republic for those people. You can wear functional, appropriate clothes for your job and look sharp while you do it, too. This works well for me, because I would also like to not look like I am dying every time I work out because my clothes are getting wrinkly and bunching and have sweat stains or what have you. I therefore like to get a couple of staples here that I know will last. At this particular location, I think I have only ever purchased a yoga mat. I went with my boyfriend because, for whatever reason, he tears up cheap yoga mats. Like, they just do not last. I don't know if cheap ones are built to sustain people of a normal weight over 6 feet--so we thought we would get a quality one. These things are not cheap. However, the sales guy was very nice and explained the different options available and the pros and cons of each. He actually recommended one of the cheaper mats simply because it weighed a little less and was more portable. I appreciate that kind of honesty. My boyfriend uses his new mat all the time, and after about a year, it's so far stood the test of time. I'll be back for my durable, multiple use staples. read more

My one star rating is for a specific employee at this store who single-handedly reminded me of the issue I have with brick & mortar retailers. I like Lululemon clothes a lot. I work out ~6 days/week and generally wear a Lululemon garment daily. I have family that work at various stores throughout the country. My point being, I'm a fan of Lululemon. During my rare trip to the store, I peruse while my wife shops. I overhear a young girl ask an apparent manager if there are any job openings. The apparent managers' response to the young girl was an overzealous tone of positivity while essentially telling the girl "No". Okay, odd tact, but to each their own. I admittedly passed judgment on the lady and went about my business. At the register my wife is trying to buy an inexpensive pair of gloves for me as a replacement Christmas present. My wife tries to use a discount that apparently this store (and that cashier) has honored in the past (as recently as two weeks prior). This time, they wouldn't honor it. Okay, fair enough. Here is my issue. The "apparent manager" comes over to stop the discount from happening. She understands it has been used in the past, but tells us she is the "acting manager" and isn't comfortable letting it go on her watch. Again, annoying, but fair enough. She then argues with my wife at the register, and then says she has to go check the rulebook and walks away. 5-10 minutes elapse, we're embarrassed that this commotion is over $10. We're blocking the register and other customers are confused by what is going on. She comes back with her "rulebook", shows us a text from some unidentified person that we never actually were able to read because she was moving her phone around. "Apparent Manger" tells us she is glad that we are in alignment now and apologizes for the inconsistency in the past. Meanwhile, you can feel everyone sort of aware that this is embarrassing and trying to not make a deal of it. We pay the list price and move on. That scenario should be avoided at all costs from Lulu's perspective. Lululemon should provide their staff with tact training. Actually, I believe Lululemon does a fantastic job of training employees, so perhaps this gal should do herself a favor and seek training herself. She has no business in retail. read more

I came into the store around 6 PM because my yoga pants tore after I clumsily fell while skating. Though they couldn't fix the hole immediatelt, the friendly salesperson offered to send them in for me. I wanted to purchase some leggings on the spot, as I had ripped my absolute favorite pair. I was catered to and felt like my needs were her priority. I found one amazing pair of leggings that were exactly what I was looking for, and ordered another pair to get shipped to my home because the color and size I wanted weren't in store. I felt very welcomed by the employees here. The salesperson who helped me was friendly, courteous, and efficient. I ended up only being in the store for 15-20 minutes which was perfect, because I always have a lot to do, and I got everything done efficiently thanks to the help and suggestions of the salesperson. I love lululemon clothing hands down. I have been in many stores in the Chicago and suburban area, but sad to say this one ranks way below the others. I have been to this one several times and have often purchased items but with no help from associates. Barely make eye contact and have never been asked if I needed help with anything. I thought it may have been my age, 57, but I am fit and do wear lululemon everytime I work out, which is often. I mentioned that I was walking home from the store from Southport (North Side) to where I live (West Loop) and that I could really use a band-aid because I had a blister. I had the most amazing experience here. My boyfriend bought a couple of pairs of yoga pants for me here and one of them didn't fit right. I didn't have the receipt and they were so happy to exchange them for a better pair. The girl even told me about her favorite ones and helped pick out the best pair ever!
