Visited Lullaby, on the LES, on a Friday evening around 10:30-11pm. It was pretty crowded, but we were able to get two seats at the bar. It's located on Rivington with a staircase down to a basement-level space, and you could easily walk by if you're not looking for it. The venue is cozy, with the bar taking up a lot of the space, a few tables toward the front, and several cozy two-tops along the side. When we walked in, it was a good vibe, fun music (not too loud), a lively crowd enjoying themselves. There was also a DJ setup. Once we were seated, the servers were attentive and quickly brought us water and menus. The cocktail list includes both signature and seasonal options, ranging from $16-$20, plus bottle service (Lambrusco and Champagne). I ordered The Mezcal Drink No. 2 (tequila, mezcal, passion fruit, and green chile). It was excellent, served chilled without ice in a smaller glass, incredibly flavorful, and quite intense. Very much a cocktail meant to be sipped and savored. I would absolutely come back to try more drinks and enjoy the vibe and music, and I am curious to see what it feels like on a weeknight as well. This used to be Nightcap! The vibe is very different. It seems very laidback, chill and run by men while Nightcap was fun, pretty and had a very feminine appeal. The bar wasn't busy on a Saturday evening. I think most of the college students are not back on campus and a lot of the NYC residents are gone on the weekends. I had the pandan express which was very good. My friend enjoyed her champagne service but found the mezcal drink too floral. This is a chill bar to add to your list of LES bars when you're in the neighborhood. I'm not sure if it's a place to go out of your way to come to though. read more

We got lucky and sat at a booth in the back since we had made a reservation. I went to Lullaby last night at about 7-8ish. When you walk in there is a calm atmosphere about the place. The music is low, people are seated nicely, having a drink or two. This place is extremely easy going before your crazy night of fun. Come after 9, more people arrive, so the music gets x3 louder and unfortunately it kind of gets unbearable because you can't hear the person next to you. Because this place is literally a cave and there are seating throughout I feel like the loud music is not necessary since there is no dance floor. People are here to enjoy their company, not dance and yell. When people can't hear the person next to you, it's irritating. Another thing was we moved a table close to our seating area since we had no table and no where to put our drinks. The party who was sitting next to us left, so we didn't have to ask anyone if it was okay. Then, an hour later, a woman pulls the table to the other side of another party which has all of our drinks on the table and scolds us for moving the table. So now, we have to inconveniently take our drinks from the table which she now moved to the other side. After half an hour of this, we decided to ditch the place and go to another bar.
