Loved this bar. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Considering how cute and delicious this bar is, it wasn't too crowded at all.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Amazing drinks and the cutest vibe. The appletini was not too sweet and was absolutely delicious. They also had a few beer cocktails which was cool. Would definitely recommend this place.

I came here especially to try their spicy avocado margarita and pistachio mai tai - I was particularly drawn to these two drinks because not only do I love anything avocado and pistachios but how rare it is to see such combinations. We were here around 7:30 on a Saturday night and there were plenty of open spots inside. Our drinks came quickly and looked absolutely fab! However.... the avocado and pistachio flavors were missing from the respective drinks. I was super disappointed as they just tasted like any generic margarita and mai tai. Wouldn't necessarily come back here unless there are any other interesting cocktails on the menu.

Pistachio Mai Tai and Thin Mint Shot.

While waiting for our table at PDT, we decided to kill some time at Romeo's across the street. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The bar is fun and cute, but pricey for what you get.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I liked how the menu has photos and they even gave us complimentary popcorn once we sat down. To order drinks, you have to go to the bar though. I got the Pistachio Mai Tai ($20), Thin Mint Shot ($13), and a Guinness ($11). The drinks were all quite disappointing and overpriced. My Mai tai didn't really taste of any pistachio and it was overloaded with ice. The thin mint shot was just a minty shot with an Andes mint. They try to make the drinks fun with the add-ons, but it's just not really worth it. [[HIGHLIGHT]]I wouldn't plan to drink much here, but it's a cool space.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

[[HIGHLIGHT]]Sexy, sensual, vibey, oh and a party![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]Honestly, an amazing spot for a group, a date, or a solo drinker.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]Romeo's is elevated enough to feel upscale, but playful enough to feel relaxed.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]It's a party, but they do not over do it, they have found a really nice sweet spot between the love, retro, and modern.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Of course, it is a bar so the drinks need to be right. They are. The elote old fashioned is smooth and almost creamy. But, still plenty of bite--just as all old fashioneds should have. The bar tender was great. He was pretty busy running the bar solo but still did a good job of keeping me company and cutting it up with other guests. Romeo, romeo, how do i now live in stl without thou romeo?

    Hot dog, pizza bagel bites

[[HIGHLIGHT]]Romeo's is such a cute bar on St. Marks.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]We stopped in for drinks and snacks early so it's wasn't too busy.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]They have a few tables on the sidewalk which is great when it's nice outside.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] We tried the hotdog and pizza bagel bites with our cocktails. The hotdog was loaded with toppings and came with potato chips. The pizza bagel bites were topped with tomato sauce and lots of mozzarella. It was a full size bagel and delicious, but a bit pricey for only two pieces. The cocktails have hits and misses. The pistachio mai tai is my favorite so far. Definitely worth stopping in for drinks, especially for happy hour!

[[HIGHLIGHT]]Such a cute spot! U can spot it from a block away.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Luckily there was no line when I arrived because when I left, there was a line. I was able to walk in with no issues. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Once inside the decor was so cute ![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]Unfortunately there was barely enough room to move around.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]They had great music but no space to stand where u are not in the server's way.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]It was a Saturday so it is expected for bars in this area to be packed.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I'll stop by at an earlier time next time.

Romeo's was ok, we headed there for the Christmas vibe and just in time for Happy Hour. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The music was so loud, it was truly impossible to talk[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]], the Happy Hour food was not great and the drinks were just ok. On the other hand, [[HIGHLIGHT]]we sat in an excellent back section that was roomy and VERY festive![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

I came here today to check out their Christmas overlay! Romeo's turns into Gnomeo's for the holidays. [[HIGHLIGHT]]My friend and I loved the decorations and holiday cocktails![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] There is bar seating and tables. Everything is first come, first serve and you order at the bar no matter where you sit. Everyone was so friendly! I had the festivus cranberry, which is a vodka based drink. It was amazing! It wasn't too sweet and the rosemary was a great touch. I would order this again for sure! We also split the french onion dip, which was a good snack and on happy hour. I definitely recommend this bar, especially if you are looking something that isn't touristy and full of holiday vibes!

    Lots of seating

I went to Romeo's for the first time while they are running their holiday pop up Gnomeo's. I showed up as soon as they opened so I was the only one in there for a while. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The bar is actually pretty large with a lot of seating.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] There's a big bathroom in the back too. There are multiple TVs playing a movie at any time. When I went there, they were playing The Breakfast Club. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The holiday decor was very tasteful and not overkill.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]They were playing music but it was not holiday music. The playlist was killer though.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] They have a special holiday menu right now. I had the Festivus Cranberry and it was very good. I want to try the Pistachio Mai Tai next. They have some small plates but they were out of a few of them. I had the pizza bagel which is made on a legit bagel so it was good. They gave me complimentary elote popcorn which was SO GOOD. The staff was really cool and nice. [[HIGHLIGHT]]I really liked the vibe in here and will definitely come back - even after the holiday pop up is over.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]Bonus, they have purse hooks at the bar. I love the attention to this detail.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I think this bar is ADA accessible - there are no stairs required to enter, the front door is large and the bathroom is also large. There's plenty of seating too that can accommodate various accessibility needs. What a nice addition to the East Village

[[HIGHLIGHT]]A fun spot for a quick drink on St. Marks -- they have a great outdoor seating setup.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]It wasn't too hard to find a spot on a Friday evening, plus a decent amount of seating inside if you prefer.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The staff is friendly and the cocktails are super unique -- the Avocado Marg was solid, plus they make a great Aperol Spritz!

    Josh W.

[[HIGHLIGHT]]Romeo's is the absolute perfect East Village vibe for the beautiful weather! With outdoor seating and open windows, you get to experience the best of New York summer no matter where you're seated.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Combine that with their incredible cocktail list and unbelievably friendly staff - and this is a must visit this summer! Absolutely do not skip their new "Weenie & Tini" combo where you get a delicious rotating hot dog and martini!! I had the basil martini and their tie die hot dog and they both hit the spot. You also must try their French Onion dip and pistachio mai tai to round out the experience! You'll definitely be seeing me back at this phenomenal East Village gem

milk punch and pistachio mai tai
    Nicole N.

Stumbled upon Romeo's when walking around East Village! People seemed like they were having a good time, so we wanted to check it out! The pistachio mai tai was very solid with a decent pistachio nutty taste! The spicy avocado marg was also pretty good! While the avocado flavors could have been stronger, it did give the drink a creaminess that complemented the tajin salt and spiciness. The milk punch unfortunately didn't really have a strong favor profile of anything. They gave us free popcorn, which was seasoned and not too oily! The place itself isn't too big but there are some high table tops, bar seating, and a small area in the back that can fit about 6 people. More seating options outside but weather dependent. Loved the pink neon lights that gave the dim setting a warm, trendy vibe! Can definitely see it becoming more popular soon!

It ended up being a nice spot for a casual catch-up, though with a few mixed impressions. The space itself is cute and very much feels like a neighborhood bar. One of the things we liked most was that they have games available--we ended up playing Scrabble while waiting for our friend to arrive, which made the time go by quickly and added to the relaxed vibe. Happy hour prices are solid, and the fried pickles we shared were decent. I also had a watermelon cocktail that was refreshing and perfectly fine, if not particularly memorable. Service was a bit inconsistent. The bartender wasn't very warm or welcoming to us initially, though that changed once our friend--who is a regular--arrived. Overall, it's a comfortable spot to meet friends and hang out for a few hours, especially on a weekday like Thursday. That said, I probably wouldn't go out of my way to return, but I can see why it works well as a local neighborhood hang.

Which is fine in my opinion because they have live jazz and I love that. I also love a bar with an activity outside of just drinking. Some pros: so many games and pool tables and live jazz and decent beer Some cons: not many seats, long waits for the pool/ping pong/foosball tables on a weekend, loud (not a place to get to know someone I'd say) Overall it's definitely ~cool~. The crowd looked to be a lot of NYU students/20somethjngs in tech or whatever living their best city life. Not the vibe for all, but definitely the vibe for some.

It's actually a legacy spot in disguise. This basement used to house Fat Cat, a longtime West Village institution that shut down right before the pandemic, and before that the room itself was a bowling alley, tucked into a 1932 Art Deco building a few steps from Stonewall. Drink selection isn't the draw here, don't come expecting a deep cocktail list. Crowd skews heavily undergrad, and the place is loud, so it's not the spot for an intimate one-on-one or a real group conversation. It's built for a different kind of hang: elbow your way to a table, keep your hands busy, let the noise do the rest. As for food, there were some true hits but most of the food was good but basic. The chicken cutlet and chicken dumplings were fine but I probably wouldn't order them again. It even came off like we were bothering our server when asking for basic things. The food was subpar. Didn't try the drinks. Maybe that's the savior? -Tuna tartare acceptable; nothing to write home about -Chicken dumplings tasted like chicken but had no bite to it. Weird and served on paper that resembled a crumpled receipt or used tissue. -Chicken cutlet was warm and soggy. No truffle flavor as advertised on the menu. Some creativity points for the accompanying foam dip but it didn't work. -Beef short rib was tasty but the single potato that come with it felt insulting and cheap. Really? One potato? -Pecan pie dessert and sorbet were really good. Sad way to finish, only enjoying the final course. Ambiance was good. Floors were super slippery because they were tiled on a snowy day. I made the reservation for 4:15 PM, I didn't want to risk not getting one of those cheeseburgers. It's all he talked about. We left me with plenty of time to get there walk around the city go to dinner and then head to the next stop. TRAFFIC!! Awful, terrible, dream crushing traffic! It was bumper-to-bumper almost immediately getting out of Maine. I'm staring at the clock, watching the arrival time get later and later and my son's face go further and further from the glowing smile it had started with. I try to call the restaurant, knowing no one would be there to answer. They didn't open till 4 o'clock, and it was 10 AM. I have my husband sent an email saying that we might be late. Then traffic starts to clear up and it says we're gonna arrive in New York around 245. Awesome! No traffic picks up again and it goes back to 6 PM. We finally get a call from the restaurant, they moved things around and offered us a reservation at 5:25pm, but it was the best they could do. Their best was enough, we made it there by 5:15. Thanks to the amazing staff at sip and guzzle, my son was able to have his birthday dinner at the place he'd been dreaming about for months. Mackenzie and Kamila greeted us at the door, we had spoken to Kamila on the phone and she was just as wonderful in person. She led us to a nice corner booth where we weren't all crammed in and left us in the hands of our server, Angie. Unfortunately, they were sold out of cheeseburgers. They only make a minimal amount a day, but we made up for it other places. We ordered the highlight reel. MOCHI FRIES Creative, crispy and unique, the nacho powder dip is an interesting touch, I preferred it without. SPICY TUNA was disappointing, we were told to alternate side because one was meant to be sticky rice the other tuna. Enjoyed as instructed but unfortunately the ratio of rice to tuna was probably 70/30. Two small bites of rice and then all tuna. Mine being the second bite I didn't really get the experience. SHRIMP TOAST fried shokupan stuffed with royal red shrimp and lobster This was strange, it wasn't bad, wasn't amazing. The first taste and smell was soapy, like fancy soap. The texture is amazing. It almost had an herb chicken salad flavor. Definitely interesting and worth the bite. ELECTRIC CHICKEN hot and crispy This was FUN!! The presentation, the flavor. It really hit upfront with scechuam pepper. Szechuan pepper is more a feeling than a taste and really elevates the experience. If you've never had Szechuan pepper this is a good place to start your adventure with it. This came out with their addictive cabbage, not by request, it just happened that way. So obviously I wanted to see if they were friends, they are, bites together suggested. ROYALE WITH CHEESE a5 wagyu Yes we ordered $150 sandwich, shamelessly. If this is the only thing you can get, get it! It comes with sour house made pickles. I suggest being careful with those, there's no need to overpower the flavor of what is already here.
