Not sure what was going on? Came in and waited at the front desk. Took awhile to get seated. Once we were seated after about 15 minutes of no one coming by even to drop off water we left. We went down the street to SeaWitch spot and that was great food and great service. Maybe it was a shift change or the USMC stuff I was wearing but we were ignored or lost in the shuffle. Wasn't crowded so not sure what happened.

Queso, steak and fries and the egg rolls.

Lula was recommended by some friends when she went to school in the area, so we had high expectations. Out of all the recommendations this location did not live up to the hype. The drinks, some pre mixed with their own branded spirit, were sub par. Either way too sweet or the balance profile was off based on whomever did the mixing. My mixed old fashioned took me back to the younger days when my focus was to just get something to start a buzz and skimp on the experience. It was Mardi Gras so there were probably plenty of people who appreciated the lower price point at $11. As to the food we had the queso and the egg rolls. Egg rolls were good with the fig jam. The queso was watery and not a true queso with some thickness to dip. The hanger/flank steak also was cooked well to order and was pleasantly surprised. The fries were a little soggy and not as crispy as I would like them. Steak w a little dip into the fig jam made it that much better. We don't plan on going back but if you're looking for something quick, good wait staff that were attentive, and keeping your drinking low -then maybe it will work for you.

We found this restaurant unexpectedly. It was a pleasant surprise! We didn't make reservations, but were able to be seated- even on Mother's Day. The atmosphere was nice, roomy, with a good vibe. Emma was our waitperson. She was excellent! We had people in our party with special dietary restrictions and Emma and the kitchen staff took all of our requests in stride. The food was delicious. I would definitely recommend Lula!

Baby back ribs.

We had Mother's Day brunch today and the food was great! I wanted to especially call out the manager who really does the utmost to insure the customer has the perfect experience at their place . Even though they were busy for being Mother's Day our server was very attentive. Thanks

Celebrated our daughter's birthday with brunch and i must say the bottomless vodka bar was a selling point. Prime location on St Charles with all of the mardi gras krewe flags hanging from the ceiling. The openness adds to the ambiance. Really enjoyed my steak and eggs. Steak was well seasoned and cooked perfectly. Our waiter was friendly, patient and very accommodating.

Came here for a group dinner. Shout out to my Yelp friend for finding this place same day, and booking a resy. The place was not full which I was glad about, a few tables but not much, so we got pretty quick and easy service. I can't speak to how the parking is, as we Uber'd here. The place is really cute. Large barn style with wooden rafters. Very spacious. Great for large groups or family reunion. I could even see this as a nice event space for an anniversary or a work event. The distillary is right in the back and open to the public behind glass. I wonder if they have classes or events for there different spirits. If they don't it would be a good idea, I bet it would be a great success. They had a $35 dinner special meal, and the whole table decided to order from that. Service- Viana (sp) was our server. And while we were a group, service was good. She checked on us enough. Drink- was a part of the dinner special, which I haven't seen before, that's kind of cool. I got the Bee's Knees. While I assume it may have been batched drink, but it was nice and tart for me. Food- I got the Cesar salad for my starter, which was larger than I expected. I thought it would be more of a side salad, I was happy to see a large portion. For my main I had the blackened fish with dirty rice and veggies. That was really tasty. We got dessert as it was a birthday celebration for 2 of the guests in the group. I had a bite of the bread pudding. It wasn't my style of bread prodding, a little too soft texture of bread, but I'm sure some will enjoy. And I had a bite of the lemon ice cake, that was pretty good, gramcracker crust, sort of cheesecake like. I left stuffed trying to eat everything, ugh but very yum meal.

This bar strikes a nice balance between lively and laid-back. The drinks were well-made, not watered down, and came out fast. The crowd was chill, and the overall vibe felt welcoming. I visited during restaurant week and glad I did! The gumbo could use come tweaking but the omelette hit the spot! It's a great place whether you're out for a quick drink or staying awhile.

We've frequented Lula's quite a few times and have never been disappointed. They offer a Bottomless Vodka bar with your choice of 5 different juices to add. Their frozen pomegranate lemonade is delicious as well. We had 3 different appetizers. Marge's tomato stack, the Lump Crab & Avocado dip and the French toast off the Brunch menu. All 3 were delicious. I thoroughly enjoyed the French toast because it was more like Lost bread that we ate as kids. I had the Lula Omelet that came with breakfast potatoes and I added a biscuit on the side which was moist and delicious. My friend had the cheeseburger that was cooked to perfection. My other friends ordered salads and chose skirt steak which was tender and moist. They even give a free dessert to anyone celebrating a birthday so we picked the Bread pudding which was so delicious! Our server Lou was wonderful and so attentive! The few negatives for me are that would be nice if they left a carafe of Vodka on the table especially when multiple people are having the bottomless instead of always having to bring a new glass with vodka. And it is very loud even when there aren't a lot of full tables.

Oh my gosh what a fantastic restaurant. Prices were so good compared to the amount of food served per plate. We started with the Fried Mirliton Pickles and the Boudin Eggrolls. Both were crispy and delicious. For entrees, we got Blackened Market Fish which was redfish. It was flaky and cooked to perfection. The Chicken and Sausage Gumbo was quite tasty as well. We also got the Blackberry Glazed Ribs which were absolutely incredible. Fantastic portion sizes compared to the price, definitely an awesome place to show up to hungry!

A little off the patch but this is amazing! We came based on the reviews. It did not disappoint. The devices was amazing and quick! The food was hot, and fresh! We ordered the fried pickles to start and they were Amazing and the homemade ranch is on point!! That is some good ranch!! The Boudin egg rolls were a hit. The sauce is so tasty! The hubby ordered the shrimp boil- the flavor is on point, it's not your traditional boil because it doesn't have the traditional boil seasoning, but it's good. My son ordered the fried chicken sandwich- it's on a Texas toast and he lives that! He said the flavor is amazing and the chicken is soft (not chewy) and breading is crispy! The sauce is good. My other son ordered the skirt steak- it has good seasoning. It was cooked really good. The he side was fries and these are hand made! These are good! I say the ranch is great! The service is really good. My husband said he has had better old fashions, but it wasn't bad. The drink I got was yummy. Make your way over to this place and give them a try!

All you can drink vodka bar!

A must go in New Orleans! First, find out timing, but when we went they had a $20 all you can drink house distilled vodka bar. Worth the trip. The whisky were good. At $35 a bottle, punching well above their weight. Their bourbon and rye could be set in a case as a really good standard for those drinks. The food was awsome! I over indulged, I happily admit. The crayfish quest was fantastic! They broiled fish with veggies over rice was quite tasty. We will be talking about the bacon wrapped shrimp with smoked ham, cheese and pepper for a while! The service was awsome, friendly and had great suggestions. Thanks!

We were a large group who ordered apps, drinks, and appetizers. The servers handled it all well. Some in the party complained about slow service but this happens with a group of 30. I was amazed at how well our server kept it all going. I ordered the lamb chops and they were good. I've had better but these were yummy. The green beans were spot on and I ate them all. The onion rings were a little plain and the potatoes were just okay. The lamb chops and green beans filled me up so I left quite content. Would I go back? Probably not but only because NOLA has so many options.

My two girlfriends and I make it a point to dine out about every 4-6 weeks. We try to find a new experience each time. On Friday, we chose Lula's. Parking was very easy. They have a huge parking lot on the side street. We had a 4pm reservation which also happened to be happy hour. Loved the Frozen Pomegranate Lemonade. The service was excellent! Our server was Erin. She was engaging, courteous, knowledgeable and efficient. Such a beautiful spirit. We later found out that she performs as Disney's Princess Tiana. So fitting! We ordered the crawfish queso as an appetizer. It arrived quickly. The queso was delicious. The wonton chips were light and tasty. Only thing the chips were served cold. We thought warming the chips would have added to the experience. For our main entrees two of us ordered the blackberry glazed ribs. It was served with a creole slaw and grilled corn on the cob. We were given a full rack of ribs!! The corn was excellent. For me the slaw was okay because my mother makes the best slaw ever, so I am biased. My other girlfriend ordered the lamb chops. The dish was served with 5 chops, roasted potatoes, onion rings, grilled veggies (green beans). Chimichurri was included. She found the chops to be fair. Under seasoned. To be fair: we compare everyone's lamb chops against another food vendor in the city. They set the bar very high for lamb chops. Overall: the portions were huge. The price points were fair. The restaurant was clean and the service was excellent. We enjoyed our experience. I would have rated it 4.5 stars but I didn't seem to have that option.

I paid for the tour in advance and ended up adding the tasting while we were there. When we arrived, we received a nice big welcome from Brian. He escorted us inside and introduced their resident mixologist Ann, she was quite lovely and makes an excellent cocktail. Brian mentioned that he was waiting for a few more people to arrive, so mom and I ordered something off the menu. I selected the Gallagher, which consisted of fresh watermelon, cucumber, lime and your choice of their Crescent Vodka, 3rd Ward Gin, or Tresillo Rum. I chose the 3rd Ward Gin. The cocktail was very tasty and refreshing. Mom chose the Freudian Slip - Crescent Vodka, pear, honey, lemon, and basil. It was also incredibly good and both drinks were beautifully presented. I loved the décor of the tasting room. It was pretty with a relaxing atmosphere. While we waited, we had a nice conversation with Brian & Ann. I told Brian that I came to NOLA so I could watch the fireworks on the Mississippi and was sad when I found out that they had been canceled. Brian said, "Well, I just heard today that the show is back on because Will Smith paid for it to happen." Apparently Will Smith was in New Orleans filming a movie (Emancipation) and when he found out the city canceled the fireworks show due to lack of funding he stepped up and paid for it. I was so excited when I found out. I've always been a fan of Will's work but now even more so since he made my bucket list happen. When the other guests arrived, we were given a welcome cocktail to take with us on the tour. It consisted of the Tresillo Rum, some spices, coconut cream, and soda water. It was yummy. I could have drunk about 5 of them. Brian was an excellent tour guide - very entertaining and informative. Cajun Spirits is a family-owned business that was founded in 2010 by Gus Hank. Their spirits are crafted in custom copper stills and made with locally sourced ingredients including Louisiana sugarcane. After the tour it was time for the tasting. In front of us were 3 snifters: one with Crescent Vodka, another with 3rd Ward Gin, and the last with Tresillo Rum. There was also a small carafe of water and a dropper. Brian instructed us to take a sip of the vodka. Then add a drop of water with the dropper and sip again to taste the difference. The water helps to open the flavor profile. (They filter their water on the premises.) When the tasting was over it was time for the grand finale - a complimentary cocktail called NOLA Rose. (Which happens to be my mom's nickname) It was delicious! Ann really is an amazing mixologist. I'm so happy I found this place. I definitely recommend the tour & tasting and also come for the cocktails, which are a steal at $8. They also have food trucks and live music on certain nights so visit their webpage for a schedule of events.
