Came here with the Beyjorettes and they made us a signature drink which was a lemon drop or vodka strawberry lemonade which was a hit. I also loved the Cajun Peach which is on their regular menu! Definitely a great spot for a great drink and good music/vibes!

This place is the bees knees! Bartenders are fantastic. The place is great for events. The bathroom is clean and there's ample outside seating with TVs and fans. I didn't know this place was even here but I definitely will be back especially for football season. They don't serve food but I think they are affiliated with the restaurant next door.

So much fun. We just walked up and ordered a drink, sat outside and listened to some music. The most relaxed and fun place to go uptown.

This place is amazing. The picture I attached is a TASTING FLIGHT. It's basically 3 full drinks in a flight. I had a very helpful and friendly bartender that gave me great recommendations, their amaretto is honestly one of the most delicious drinks I've ever had, and it was just amaretto. The gin was crisp and fresh and I enjoyed sipping it. The bourbon honestly is not for me. I don't think the bourbon has a good flavor; it tastes like how overripe banana peels smell. However I can accept that it's just not for me and other people may enjoy it more. The space is nice and on oak street, so parking may be difficult. It definitely is worth a detour though. There is a spacious patio out front and you can see the distillery through a window on the inside. A lovely charm and good people working here. Come here!

This is a new distillery that has opened on Oak Street. You can go to their website to check out the options they offer. They do have tours and a bar inside. Overall this looks like a nice addition to the neighborhood.

Caught a tour on the day they were opening a casket! Delicious.

I had the pleasure of visiting Old Alker on my inaugural trip to New Orleans. A breath of fresh air from the chaos that is Bourbon street, this place (and the people!) is warm and welcoming. The liquor and liqueurs they produce are top tier. The drinks they craft are delicious. And the tour, much more intimate than what you get on the Bourbon Trail (and my preferred!), is interesting and fun. I would highly recommend visiting and plan to come back with the husband in tow.

Check them out, try the black label house bourbon as well. Definitely coming back, loved the vibes! Service was out of this world!

Visited during my first trip to New Orleans recently and enjoyed every moment of it! The ambiance, staff, and drinks are top tier. It was a treat to learn about the distilling process, history of the building, and how Old Alker came to be while sipping on delicious handcrafted cocktails.

We live in the neighborhood and finally stopped by, surprise--love it here! The staff are so nice and friendly, the drinks are amazing. The daughter of the owner who bartends is incredibly knowledgeable about all of the alcohol they have. The chairs at the bar are oddly comfortable. 100% would recommend, they even have pop up food sometimes.

Unfortunately our plan was to just stop in for drinks but the dinner menu looked so good with a speciality menu with quail and a dip with avocado and local fish! As we were just stopping in for drinks, we just had an appetizer: at first we were unsure about the composition of the appetizer: avocado, crab and mango....but one we received it, we were impressed. The dip was solid! As for drinks: the distillery offerings were solid! I'm a fan of bees knee and that made me an epic one. And for those who want to get their pour on for a mere 20 dollars you can do unlimited drinks from a select list that looked solid! The service was solid too! I think the excellent service that we received from Sam and perhaps the Manager ( sorry didn't catch his name) kept us there longer enjoying our time! Sam has been there for four year and very passionate about the business: I love seeing an employee at establishment that is fully engage! The ambiance is nice too: vast indoor space! Very clean! With an open area to the kettles! Plus a nice patio for nice days! Plus they have a big party area too if you are looking for an event space. Thanks for a great first visit: we look forward to digging in and trying some of your food next time!

I paid for the tour in advance and ended up adding the tasting while we were there. When we arrived, we received a nice big welcome from Brian. He escorted us inside and introduced their resident mixologist Ann, she was quite lovely and makes an excellent cocktail. Brian mentioned that he was waiting for a few more people to arrive, so mom and I ordered something off the menu. I selected the Gallagher, which consisted of fresh watermelon, cucumber, lime and your choice of their Crescent Vodka, 3rd Ward Gin, or Tresillo Rum. I chose the 3rd Ward Gin. The cocktail was very tasty and refreshing. Mom chose the Freudian Slip - Crescent Vodka, pear, honey, lemon, and basil. It was also incredibly good and both drinks were beautifully presented. I loved the décor of the tasting room. It was pretty with a relaxing atmosphere. While we waited, we had a nice conversation with Brian & Ann. I told Brian that I came to NOLA so I could watch the fireworks on the Mississippi and was sad when I found out that they had been canceled. Brian said, "Well, I just heard today that the show is back on because Will Smith paid for it to happen." Apparently Will Smith was in New Orleans filming a movie (Emancipation) and when he found out the city canceled the fireworks show due to lack of funding he stepped up and paid for it. I was so excited when I found out. I've always been a fan of Will's work but now even more so since he made my bucket list happen. When the other guests arrived, we were given a welcome cocktail to take with us on the tour. It consisted of the Tresillo Rum, some spices, coconut cream, and soda water. It was yummy. I could have drunk about 5 of them. Brian was an excellent tour guide - very entertaining and informative. Cajun Spirits is a family-owned business that was founded in 2010 by Gus Hank. Their spirits are crafted in custom copper stills and made with locally sourced ingredients including Louisiana sugarcane. After the tour it was time for the tasting. In front of us were 3 snifters: one with Crescent Vodka, another with 3rd Ward Gin, and the last with Tresillo Rum. There was also a small carafe of water and a dropper. Brian instructed us to take a sip of the vodka. Then add a drop of water with the dropper and sip again to taste the difference. The water helps to open the flavor profile. (They filter their water on the premises.) When the tasting was over it was time for the grand finale - a complimentary cocktail called NOLA Rose. (Which happens to be my mom's nickname) It was delicious! Ann really is an amazing mixologist. I'm so happy I found this place. I definitely recommend the tour & tasting and also come for the cocktails, which are a steal at $8. They also have food trucks and live music on certain nights so visit their webpage for a schedule of events.
