The brewery offered a selection of the following types of beers: Pilsner, Lager, Kolsch, Pale Ale, IPA, and Wild Ale. They do not brew a flagship beer because they are a laboratory of experimentation (from the website). Personally, I enjoy ordering a flagship beer when I try a brewery for the 1st time but that wasn't a deal breaker. Just a little different for me. This place is soooo cool! The perfect place to spend a nice Saturday with friends and delicious beers. Hidden way back in the corner of the Bywater neighborhood, is this gem of a Biergarten. It was so fun to enjoy the weather with good friends and sip on multiple flights of beer, sampling all of their brews, arguing over which we liked best. As the sun goes down, the cute string lights come on, creating an intimate, backyard atmosphere. It feels like you're at home! During crawfish season, you can find people boiling up 2 different styles: traditional and Vietnamese. If you've never had Vietnamese style, TRY IT!!!!! It's life changing. If crawfish isn't your thing, you can get food delivered here. We ended up staying for so long that we ordered from Pizza Delicious later in the evening. Great move. Something else kinda cool about this place: it's dog AND kid friendly! There were big groups of people with small children playing together. It really makes the place feel like a backyard barbecue. As for the beer list, I assure you, it is delicious. Do I remember my favorites? No, because I had many of them. So I obviously liked it. (Don't judge, it was my birthday!) I love this space! We head here almost every night for trivia, which is free and they do $1 off drafts for trivia players. For a somewhat small inside space, they have a lot of options on draft with a decent rotation schedule. There is a ton of outdoor space and they're spread out over the "yard." My partner had the English Brown Ale and did the same! We both put down a few and loved very bit of the breeze out side. Parleaux Beer Lab didn't disappoint as our last stop in a full day of distillery and brewery tours. Awesome space. Super spacious beer garden. Great beers. Quality pop up food options. My only recommendation would be to improve the service level of the guys pouring beers. I get it... it's a long day. I'm one of hundreds (locals and tourists) who have walked up to the counter trying to decide which brew to pick today, but it wouldn't hurt to fake a smile and some enthusiasm for your job of serving great beer to an appreciative public. read more

Pretty hidden away beer brewery close to the old navy base. The outside area was very nice and I found the inside to be clean. The server was fantastic and they follow Covid restrictions to a T. Sitting outside in spring time with new combinations of flavored beer is always a good time in my book. They offer glasses of draft or canned beer. We swung by this spot on a whim with a friend and it was so nice! We had a few hours to kill and decided to do tastings, which was great because there are a range of sizes available. I got the sour that they had on tap, and really enjoyed it. People were friendly and sociable, and there were cute dogs roaming around. They're following local covid guidelines, which is great. So on my 3rd visit I had to declare Parleaux is my current favorite tap room. Now I haven't been to all the are breweries so. take that for what it is worth. They just hit on so many levels. The beer is awesome. They make a lot of lighter ales. They have one I like that is like champagne. Yeah beer lovers groan all you want, I like what I like. They are always experimenting and hey, they definitely have some losers, but the regular stuff that is always on tap is quality. They are a lab for sure and i will be their humanely treated test subject. Can't be worse than that government experiment I signed up for in college. I love that they have multiple pour sizes. Although I have noticed times when I was there for an event and that was not the case. As is typical for area breweries they do allow third parties to use the space for events. Everything from pilates to family friendly fundraisers. They also host food trucks. Saigon slim is my favorite pairing. The simple painted wood decor makes you feel as if you are in your pals backyard. The outdoor space is large for the bywater and definitely larger than the inside. I have only hung out outdoors. I applaud the pest control. Unlike nearby Bacchanal i dont feel attacked by bugs while i am there. Bathrooms are always clean. Like I said, they hit on multiple levels. read more

Parleaux is exactly what the Bywater water needed a stylish, non-pretentious brewery with great public space and even better beer! I was there on a Sunday and while it wasn't packed it had a good crowd of people all enjoying the Summer heat under the shade of the Pecan trees and shaded structures in the patio. The beer selection awesome! They have a little a little bit of everything for everyone. I had one of their Summer brews it was packed with citrus and very refreshing. I also tasted my friends Oatmeal Potter which was light and surprisingly had wonderful hints of coffee. Checkout their Instagram account to see which food trucks will be there throughout the week. great beer, solid service. food from the popup was tasty too. garden would have been lovely but the patrons progeny kind of ruined it. see below....not entirely the brewer's fault, but would help to have someone keeping unruly guests in check. Seems patrons are free to just allow their awful kids to terrorize people who are just trying to enjoy the garden. Literally over a dozen kids running amok with the parents just drinking and totally tapped out- no supervision, gremlins just knocking into people (spilled my beverage and parent did not do a thing, another kid was climbing on top of tables and throwing rocks!) screaming and otherwise being horrible. people...please teach your kids some manners or leave them at home with a sitter. This isn't a playground last I checked. The wildlings that ran into me could have caused a broken glass, gotten hurt or hurt someone else. Parleux, maybe worth considering a no kid policy or at least no unruly kid policy bc these adults are clearly failing at parenting and have zero interest in raising polite humans. it kind of kills the otherwise lovely atmosphere. read more

Wife was really excited to stop in to Parleaux Beer Lab as they were doing an event with Piety and Desire for a king cake and beer pairing. We arrived to find they sold out of king cakes at least an hour earlier and didn't bother to post anything about selling out. She was super disappointed and I can see why. Tons of posts about the event but couldn't bother to post about selling out for those that were coming mostly for the cake? This might be less of an issue for Parleaux but since they were hosting they get lumped in. We still stayed and had a couple flights. She had all dark beers and I had all IPA/IPL. I enjoyed all of mine. Hers were mostly good. The 5w-30 was true to its name and drank like motor oil. I can see why some might like it but it was too much for me. All in all it was still a good time. I really like the Parleaux logo and will likely be back for more beer and a shirt next time. read more

I would give 3.5 stars if I could here but that isn't an option. We had driven by Parleaux beer but decided to check it out yesterday because they were not only doing a special beer collab with Piety & Desire, but they also had 4 varieties of king cake to match! I saw all of this on a Facebook event. The event started at 3 and we got there around 5:30. My husband got in line for the beer, I went to find the king cakes and they were ALL sold out! The girl told me that they sold out within the first hour......I realize that Parleaux was not in charge of this aspect but someone could have updated the event or one of the other social media outlets with this information. This left us very disappointed! We did both get a flight which ended up being $30, which seemed pretty steep. The beer was fine, I did really enjoy the rosé beer but nothing else was great enough to bring me back :(. While they do have parking, it is all street parking which can be tricky! read more

We love visiting breweries and glad we found this place while visiting NOLA. The beer was good and the atmosphere was fun.

This is a bit out of the way, but well worth an Uber or a bike ride from downtown; they do have a bike rack for the blue bikes. They have an indoor and an outdoor seating area with a large selection of beers made on site and have swag for sale. I was disappointed they didn't have any pop up food stands when we were there but the beer was really good. I tried the dry hopped lager and my wife had a blueberry gose beer, both were very good and showed the talent of the brew team. read more

Parleaux Beer Lab came recommended by people I had met at other breweries. They are also located right across from Bacchanal, which is a wine garden. You can visit both together easily. They have an absolutely gorgeous space, and it is unlike any other brewery I have visited. There is both an inside and outside. There are beautiful touches everywhere with repurposed material. All of the beers I tasted were delicious. They really have something good going there. 4 stars instead of 5 because the cost of a flight was piece-meal, and it totaled $14, which I think is outrageously expensive. I would have gladly just ordered 10 oz pours, and I think I should have been told that before I committed myself. Where I am from, flights are only $4-10. But I know better now, and I would definitely go back and just order full glasses. read more

Hands down one of the best craft breweries located in the city! Located in the Bywater neighborhood, which keeps producing several of they city's must see and try locations, this is THE PLACE to grab a delicious, thirst quenching brew and "parley" with a group of friends. Featuring rotating seasonal specialty concoctions and a few constant brew house staples, you can easily find yourself going through two flights of beer in order to try everything on tap! The staff also offer very insightful descriptions and opinions on all their creations, and will more likely happily suggest a beer that you will enjoy the most. There is plenty of indoor seating available, but this venue's outside seating is where it really stands out. There is ample space and seating in their backyard area to sit, stand, and play since this is a pet and child friendly establishment. There is a projector screen located inside which is usually showing sports, or in some cases, a movie of some kind. Peak into their cooler for unique to-go options including bomber bottles and cans. They also offer a unique collection of merchandise ranging from stickers, shirts, crowlers, growlers, and glasses if you are interested in further representing the brewery while you are out and about. When available, there are soft baked pretzels from Bratz Y'all at the counter in addition to rotating food pop-ups located outside. Be sure to check their website and Instagram page to keep up with their ongoing events and new beer releases. Like with most places in the Bywater, all parking is located off street. Enjoy the opportunity to explore and look at all the other cool and interesting things the neighborhood has to offer. I'm so glad that the brewery craze is finally sweeping the nation. The WHOLE nation. NOT just the coasts. What I mean is: "The South" is finally getting some friggin' breweries! Asheville, NC was getting pretty lonely. Finally they have some company! The only thing I don't like about this brewery was that there were too many great options. Everything was unique, or special, or made with my favorite hops. Beers with lemongrass. Sour ales with Citra hops. Beers made with experimental hops. You name it, they had it. This place makes me wish I had a more efficient liver. read more

I love love love this bar! They have a great selection of beer at three different prices (done by oz). I'm a big sour fan and their selection is pretty good ! It's small and has a very local vibe. There's a cute outdoor area and on Sunday's they host free yoga classes with a special on beer afterwards. They are also dog friendly ! I don't typically get into breweries but Parleaux was a fun crash spot after a long day. It's in the supercool Marigny Below Bywater neighborhood and we stopped in just to unwind after stumbling upon the location. Parleaux has a good beer selection (that's what hubby says), his was actually really good and the beautiful color was impressive. There is counter service with open indoor seating; and what won me over was the outside seating. Casual tables all around with umbrellas and a pergola with a big hammock swing thing. Little kids and fur babies are welcomed both inside and outdoors, just as long as they're leashed (dogs only, kids can run about). Can't wait to visit when it's a bit warmer out, would be lots of laidback fun. read more

MORE BREWERIES? Oh yes, yes please! This place is the stuff. Wow. Really, really excellent space and 12 of their own brews on tap. The space: Indoor/outdoor - buy food/drinks at the bar inside, with the guidance of the knowledgeable brewers/bartenders. TV's inside for the game of your interest. The indoor space shares with the brewery, which makes it super clean and industrial. You can also grab a pretzel from neighboring Bratz Y'all or food from their food truck or popup. Outside is where it's at. Lots of seating in a "park-like" setting. There's even a weird swing thing. Some of the furniture is not the most comfortable to sit on, so try out a few options. Oh, and there's the train -- holy cow. The beers: You buy a beer by the size. Get a flight and then get a big beer based on what you like best for your first visit. They seem to be paying attention to creating a truly flavorful and enjoyable beer. I had a flight of 4, and really enjoyed the cherry and earl grey tea beers. Well lit, street parking - kinda hard to find. Also, don't accidentally park on the other side of the train tracks, or you might be waiting for a while to get back to your car. One of the best craft breweries in the city and by far my favorite. I've come here for a few years now and I look forward to their rotating tap selections with local inspired flavors. They actually grow many of the fruits & spices that end up in their beer on site! I have a particular fondness for their sours, dark beers, fruit beers, and spirit inspired brews. Around the New Year I can count on them having their Dom Parleux, a delicious champagne inspired beer with around 10 ABV. In the hotter months, I can look forward to a selection of IPA's and sours. I love their Barry Bonds, a berry inspired tart beer. For their anniversary this past year they made the best beer i've ever had anywhere! It was their Ebullience brew, a smooth medium bodied slightly tart beer which was aged in Pinot Noir barrels... If they make this again you better watch out cause i'm buying all of it. Though the beer is not all, the inviting open air environment, local food popups, fun music, and great service keep me coming back time after time. The free Sunday Yoga class there is a must try! I've meet so many fun locals and travelers while having an after class beer, even made some lifelong friends along the way. If you haven't visited yet, go cause you are missing out! read more
