I called them, they sent a message to confirm the appointment and a phone call. Three opportunities to mention the move. Got to the right office and didn't leave until 1:40. So an hour and a half for a flu shot that took at most 5 minutes. Do you need to space out the appointments? Hire more doctors? Take on less patients? I don't know about other people but after over 2 years with appointments like these I'm ready to start looking for a new office. Adding insult to injury, having waited so long at the doctor's office my guy has missed his nap window. So thanks for wasting my time, robbing me of any down time to get anything done and having a cranky toddler for the rest of the day.

The front desk I barely have to speak to so I can't say much. The MAs I only really had one assist me every time we went and she was super friendly. My son usually goes to the florham park office, but we had to resort to west orange once or twice. Now my issue is I called numerous times and asked about my son vaccination record (he was only 2.5 months old) so there was only 3 things on this record. Unfortunately the office is too far for me (40 mins) my son got an ear infection and I had to make an appt close to home. Now after his first appt I was told he needed his immunization records in order to be seen again by the new office near home. When I called florham park to retrieve these I was told "30 days you can pick it up" WHAT?!!!! I wasn't asking for medical records and I was going back and forth numerous times and different days... I gave up, bc as a new mom I'm exhausted and didn't have it in me to argue. ( I also emailed the office as suggested and at this point I wanted all records bc I was done with this facility and lack of common sense) So fast forward to two weeks later, I had to last min get my son in to do a quick covid test ( as I couldn't be seen near home bc I still wasn't able to retrieve his records). Once I got in I made sure to get his immunization rec., and once our appt was done I was told 24 hours for results to be in. I waited over 24 hours and finally called...the lady at the front desk told me their backed up on test.... Which made no sense but okay so she said to call in a day, well I gave them two days now at this point it's 5 days LATER I spoke to someone at 9am and they told me an on call doctor will call with my 2.5 month old sons results ( as covid result aren't important I guess) and guess what?.... NO CALL! So, aggravated as I was I called again and left a voicemail and I'm sure you can guess it again.... NO CALL BACK.... EVER! Now it's a week and a few days later I called, the front desk answered and literally gave me his results... it was THAT SIMPLE. Now I get an email 3 weeks later about medical records saying "it'll be ready in two weeks" well now it's over the legal 30 day period and clearly over the two weeks I was promised. My son is now 4 months what is so hard about printing or sending a few notes on his visits when he hasn't even been here more than 4/5 visits??? All this did was put me back on being able to treat my son as needed medically, very unprofessional as a medical office for children. Not sure what the excuse is holding medical records for longer than necessary I would never make my patients wait the 30 day period. That is totally absurd and so rude! I do work in medical and manage a super busy office so the way this office is handling specific/simple task is mind boggling. I will be calling back and giving a piece of my mind as they totally violated my rights to medical records and as the state of NJ it's a 30 day wait period.. which they're aware, but clearly can't manage that time correctly. This office seems very slow paced every time I've been here so I'm not sure what the issue is with helping patients out with simple things as this.

What I will say is that the staff at the front desk and at the intake process may be curt but they ultimately respectful. I work in customer service and I can sympathize with what they go through. The daily workload is taxing to say the least and the constant exposure to people can and does wear people down. To cope, niceties are given the boot and people stick to just the facts. Ultimately behind the facade I could tell that the staff care. They are just trying to survive. Once I saw and interacted with Dr Winsome Parchment I was very grateful that I allowed myself to go through with the appointment instead of cancel and reschedule with another practice. He actually listens when you discuss issues. His memory amazes me . He genuinely cares. This is a rare thing these days in the medical community. I go to MyChart to schedule a follow-up with Denise, and I can't schedule an appointment, there are NO PROVIDERS LISTED!! Also, there was no way to send a message!! I call the office next, and I'm transferred to someone who tells me "You've been discharged from this practice!! SHOCKED!! ME?? WHY?? All that was explained to me was that "They are short staffed". Next, I was told that they would provide 1 month of medication while I find another provider. Now, for most people this might be ok, but for me, I'm on Controled Substance meds, and finding another provider is More than Difficult, and I explained them of this; THEY DID NOT CARE!! At 630 this morning, I realized I had forgotten to pack my thyroid medicine to take with me on vacation to Boston. I called and left a message requesting a prescription be called in for 5 tablets. I gave all of my personal info, and provided the location and phone number of the local CVS, which was in Salem, where we'd be spending the day, as well as my own phone number. I did not receive any call back confirming that the message was received, etc. So I called again, at about 9:35. I was told the prescription had been "called in". Ok, great. We did some sightseeing at I went to the CVS at 11:30 assuming the prescription would be ready or nearly ready. I was told it was never received. Called the Dr office again. I was told that the Dr on duty never looked at it because he was busy with patients. Ok, but I'm a patient also, and I had iniated this request in the early morning, so could they please ask him to do it between patients she said she would ask him to do that. I returned at 1:30... STILL NOTHING. I called the Dr office and was told the same story. We went to lunch. I called the pharmacy at 330. THE PRESCRIPTION WAS A) NOT CALLED IN TO THAT LOCATION, BUT TO ANOTHER ONE IN SALEM; B) THE DR PRESCRIBED *A*FULL*30 DAY* SUPPLY* which I did not ask for, and the prescription coverage denied it because I'm not due for a FULL refill until October. NO KIDDING. BUT I ONLY ASKED FOR F I V E TABLETS. I called the Dr office A G A I N, told them what they did which was WRONG, and they proceeded to pit me.in hold then hand me off to someone who expected me to start from the beginning to explain it to her. NO THANKS. I called the CVS back, worked with the pharmacy to only fill it for 5 tablets, for which I had to pay out of pocket since the INEPT DR OFFICE called in the WRONG QUANTITY so the pharmacy could not run it through my prescription coverage for less than 30 day supply. He also is not part of any of the large medical groups in the area (Westfield Family Practice, Summit Medical Group, etc.), which I can only describe as purely money-making organizations. I also liked the idea of visiting a Doctor of Osteopathy instead of an MD, thinking that he might recommend dietary/lifestyle changes in addition to pharmaceuticals. Instead, I had the pleasure of meeting a doctor who laughed at my request for a full blood test as part of a physical, telling me that I was young and skinny, and therefore must be healthy, and don't need to see him. Finally, I just found out that my lovely doctor, or his staff, seems to have lost my medical/prescription records. Despite being a young and healthy adult who doesn't visit the doctor other than for annual check ups (luckily), this is the last straw. Guess I have to look for a new doctor.

The support staff is a group of friendly, excellent communicators who my two young children seem to like very much. They do a good job of scheduling, always leaving slots available for emergencies and sick visits. They are very good about answering all of our questions and addressing all of our concerns. Dr. S never makes you feel rushed and is totally understanding of the new parent whoas and concerns. The staff at Pediatric Group of WO is also excellent. They keep the office running smoothly and generally on time. The staff does a great job accommodating same day appointments for sick patients. One of the doctors monitors the after-hours answering machine each night until 10pm. After 10pm, a service handles any calls from patients. The waiting room is large -- though there is no separate "sick patient" area.
