If you have better insurance, then this may be the place you want to try first for non-invasive. Lots of sports related stories about recoveries.

My dad can play piano again…read more My dad's shoulder injury took us by absolute surprise three months ago. A quick trip with two bags of groceries turned into a proximal fracture of the head of the humerus. The pain didn't slow him down at all. He would have driven himself to the hospital if his right arm had been able to grab the gear shift. In the span of twelve hours, my irrepressible father went from doing everything for himself to losing the use of his arm and looking at shoulder replacement as the only way to restore mobility. But in that same amount of time, Dr. Richard Boiardo made every effort to explain and disclose his medical options to my dad, my mom, and myself with respect, dignity, and generosity. We all know how busy surgeons are, but Dr. Boiardo took time to show all three of us the scans, to make sure that we all understood, and to make sure that my father fully understood his injury and the healing process. Three days later, my dad wheeled back to the hospital room, groggy from surgery, and we heard from the nurses how Dr. Boiardo had stayed to repair the rotator cuff, knowing that my dad was so active even in his mature years. When I saw the doctor's face, I knew how hard he worked to give my dad the best possible outcome. My dad is well into his retirement, but nothing has ever slowed him down. He would play the piano every day at home and often played for our church. He continued to teach grade school students every week. He raised peppers and cucumbers in the garden every summer. Even though recovery was hard work, with the grind of immobilizing the joint for weeks and the exertion of aggressive physical therapy, I saw my dad's hand move under its own strength again, stronger every day. Until one Sunday at church, a hymn rang out from the piano, and it was my dad, unexpectedly back on the bench, playing piano as if nothing ever happened. My dad can play piano again. This has all happened so fast and put us in so much shock. My parents and I are frustratingly quiet patients. But underneath the shock and the stress, we know that Dr. Boiardo and the people of Cross County Orthopaedics worked hard, worked at their very best to give my dad the best possible outcome. They have all been wonderfully considerate, polite, communicative, and graceful to us in our healing process. Dr. Boiardo and his team have our deepest and ongoing thanks, respect, and trust.

I'm so grateful to add Kocaij, got an MRI & he told me I have a torn rotator cuff! Since I'm "older" (54), the area of where I tore my cuff, calcium deposits had formed (calcified tendinitis) & a pointy triangular spur was pushing down into my tendonmuscle. He said no problem, I can get a steroid inj in his office or they can use Lavage

Roll around to November 2024, while I was doing pushups, my right arm went "dead". Nothing could have stressed me out more when it was diagnosed that I needed surgery to repair a torn labrum, remove a cyst and clean out some calcium deposits. Working with Dr. Jason Garcia and his staff at Summit Health made this process as smooth as possible. Starting from working with their surgical coordinator, to ensure all the required paperwork and tests were complete, to the Surgery Center they use, which is clean and makes the pickup process smooth. You want someone like Dr. Garcia performing surgery. He is a rock star. For me, his confidence made me feel that this was the right choice. The surgery could not have gone better. I was able to start PT 9 days after my surgery. My therapists almost didn't believe I had shoulder surgery because of my range of motion. I've already been to the golf range, have been doing all the yardwork and got a bunch of painting done. I have no pain and it's only been 7 months. Stay on top of your PT and let Dr. Garcia do his thing.

I've been using (Kinesiology) K-Tape for over a year but it was starting to wear on my skin & it was not even working in the end so it was time to see a doctor. I researched at least 10 Orthopaedic surgeons in my area on Health-grades, Google, Yelp and other sites. Dr Garcia had the best reviews & back in 2008 my mom broke both ankles and Dr Garcia treated her so I decided to call his office. Lea made an appointment for me and she was so kind, got me in ASAP after explain the pain is traveling down my leg. They text me instructions the morning of my appointment on what to do when I arrived. I got there a few minutes early- texted: ARRIVED and they text me back within minutes telling me to come in. The office was spotless, I checked in and within five minutes I was brought into an exam room. After the very sweet nurse took my info- Leo came in and took me for X-rays. He was such a pleasant guy and we had a nice chat. I must say the staff is amazing and everyone was so kind. After the X-rays, Dr Garcia and his physician assistant came in, we talked, he examined my knees and he decided to start out with cortisone in each knee-- that wasn't fun BUT when I went to bed last night it was the first time in over a year my knees weren't bothering me then when I woke up, after sleeping straight through the night-I couldn't believe it, I kept touching the bone that sent shockwaves through my body the day before and the pain was gone. Dr Garcia was so kind and gentle, his personality is friendly not like some doctors who have no bedside manner with patients. No wonder his review ratings are excellent. I am so glad I chose this practice & Dr Garcia and it turns out they are a part of Summit Medical Group. I would highly recommend this practice and Dr Jason Garcia to all and any of my friends and family. I was in and out in less than 30 minutes. And they have valet parking too! If you're in pain call Dr Garcia.

She verified my information and took me in after checking in the next person behind me. The service was fast, efficient and courteous. I do this review because I have been going to various locations of Summit Medical Group for 20+ years and for over 20 years the service has been spectacular. I started with them when my son was about 2 years old at their Short Hills location. I've used theirs Urgent Care, After hour Doctors, internal Medicine, Labs, Radiology, Gynecology, Podiatry, Orthopedics, Endocrinology, and a host of other specialties. Throughout the years I have had more memorable/pleasant experiences then unpleasant. I hate getting blood drawn and have 1 good, visible vain, but the staff always seem to put be at ease. The young lady today was more than great at her job (Shame on me for not getting her name, but she's been there for a few years), she was very professional and personable; it's because of people like her that Summit Medical Group is such a growing success. She not only provided stellar service, but World Class service. Not to mention the facilities and restrooms are always clean. So if you are seeking A great Medical Practice you may want to look at Summit Medical, they have so mNy locations Morristown, Florham Park, West Orange, Livingston, Berkeley Heights, WestField, Warren and some that I don't even know about, but they have worked for me. Truthfully I've only had 1 unpleasant experience in 20+ years and it's not worth writing about, because in this case the good truly outweighs the bad.

An hour later I have a large bump on my arm. I try to call and it automatically goes to a busy signal so you can't get through. The absolute worse bedside manner I ever dealt with.
