My appointment was for 3 pm and I arrived at 2:20 pm. I did not see him until 3:40 pm. I'm a 74…read moreyear old male suffering from very low energy / libido due to "low T" and trying to get testosterone replacement therapy (TRT) to treat my symptoms for which I need a valid prescription to obtain this hormone for $20/month from my local pharmacy. All went well initially during my consultation until he saw on my previous blood test that I had a mildly elevated PSA level. He then announced that he could not prescribe T for me because it would make my cancer grow. That is a TOTAL MYTH that is now over 80 years old and was debunked in the 1990's. He was not interested in my informing him of this. I even offered to sign a waiver of liability for him so that I could give the TRT a try to see if it helped my symptoms. NO! He wanted me to run to a urologist and have a lot of painful and debilitating procedures (like hit or miss prostate biopsies) done to verify that I did not have any prostate cancer and, then, he might prescribe for me. I said I was not interested in any of that and that the American Urological Association does NOT recommend any prostate cancer screening for any males 70 or older and, more importantly, it is NOT mandatory to begin TRT. He seemed to not be aware of any of that. Anyway, he was NOT interested in my opinion, the latest American Urological Association guidance on TRT or, it seemed, much in my symptoms which are starting to get severe. Consequently, I definitely do NOT recommend him for any Low T seniors in search of TRT so they can feel better. He will just waste your time, money, and worse of all emotions. IMO, any senior male seeking TRT should screen an endocrinologist BEFORE committing to an office visit. Find out, over the phone, if they will prescribe TRT for a senior patient with a mildly elevated PSA (which can be caused by MANY things that have nothing to do with prostate cancer!) and if they say they won't, then hang up and try another one. Don't give up until you find one that is up to date on the latest American Urological Association's treatment guidance for TRT in seniors so you can give TRT a try to see if it helps you like it has helped millions of others.

I spend there over 2 hours but 10 min in doc office worst…read moredoctor ever. arogant , I get more inf. from internet than from him . he acted like he wanted go home . he didn't take any of my suggestions.
