This place needs to change their oil frequently for fried food, Spent half the night on the toilet and this is NOT the first time. I used to like them but ,I got a ham and cheese wrap they barely gave me any ham it was mostly tortilla very disappointing but they charge a good amount for wraps and subs at least give people their money's worth . Go to big Jay's in Rome they give big portions so it's worth the price s . And their pizza is under cooked 1 time then over cooked the next time . How about setting a timer . WARNING: DON'T ORDER FROM LUIGI'S!!!!! First off I'll start by saying it's usually hit or miss with these guys, and tonight was just plain horrible. I called and ordered a toasted tuna sub with lettuce, Swiss cheese, and pickle and a chicken sub with LTO and Mayo as well as shakers. First of all it took over an hour to be delivered 10 minutes out of town, which was ridiculous as it is as I have a 38 week pregnant fiancé who waited on a sub they didn't even make correctly. I EVEN REPEATED MY ORDER!!!! I opened up the bag to find no mayonnaise on my sub and my fiancé's tuna sub was never toasted! I have had many orders be messed up and I usually don't say anything but, I personally have worked as a line cook and know I would never send out anything like this. I have already written a review for this business but forgot to mention an important point. Not only is the pizza bad, it is tremendously greasy. After writing the review I moved the pizza box I had put on my dining room table and found a grease stain on the finish. I looked at the bottom of the box and discovered the grease from the pizza had leaked through the white food paper, through the bottom of the cardboard box and soaked my walnut dining room table. Talk about a heart attack in a box! I did eventually get the stain out of my table but it took about a week and more products than I care to list here. No I do not recommend Luigi's, in fact I recommend you avoid the place like the plague. P.S. Tell your friends, save them before it's too late. read more

Pizza was very dissatisfying! Pretty much like a poor quality, store bought freezer pizza. Not much flavor, except a freezer burnt taste in the crust. Luigi's is a hit or miss with the quality of the food they serve. The spaghetti, when cooked fresh, and correctly, is amazing even if the sauce does come out of a can. In my opinion, it is the best spaghetti sauce you can get from a restaurant in this area. As for the main plate they offer, pizza, is absolutely horrible. I never liked it my whole life, but it is a good last resort if you are hungry for pizza and cannot get it anywhere else. It tastes very fishy, and the crust is overly thin, soggy, and/or overcooked most of the time. Luigi's does not cut large pizzas in triangles and instead they use square cuts to make a large pizza look bigger than a medium when it is the same size when mediums are cut into triangles. They do not fill up large appetizers more than a small but instead just give you a large container that is not even half full. The bottom of the container is usually still visible, so they just charge more money for the same portion of food as a small. The spaghetti sauce unfortunately does not save the pizza even though it is on it. The sandwiches you can get here have bread that is tasteless and sometimes hard and inedible. Sometimes Luigi's does not change their fryer oil/grease and foods are sometimes undercooked, overcooked, or frozen. One of my friends has the same problem here. The pizza here is not even average because the crust does not taste like pizza should at all. It is two dollars per additional topping on a calzone that already cost ten dollars just for cheese in it. As for customer service, The staff that waits on you at the restaurant are extremely nice, they and the delivery people are the individuals that make me want to eat there again. The food is tolerable, and the customer service is acceptable which is why I continue to eat there. Ultimately though, I am disabled with severe developmental delays and am unable to cook many things for myself and am a resident of Boonville New York which is the home of this restaurant. Boonville does not have many options for restaurants and this one has me hoping someday Taco Bell or McDonald's will open up here. I do not approve that they take their servers and drivers tips... My friend that used to work as a delivery driver there told me this. My friend confronted the owner stating he needed money to save up for a large purchase, but the owner was careless, so my friend quit. Luigi's already charges double what other places charge for delivery, to everyone. That is not a fair price because the only reason they are doing that is because they deliver up to twenty-five minutes away. They need to charge delivery fees based on mileage if they are going to be delivering food that far out. The ridiculous fees for delivery because of the delivery radius is not their only problem. Luigi's also charges you for using your credit or debit card and they also do not honor any coupons they give out. They say that they have discontinued the program once you collect enough coupons from buying pizza. Detailed receipts are not given so you never know the exact details of the transaction. This is very inconvenient because you may want to go back and look at your physical receipts to see what exactly you purchased and/or to see if something was actually taken off your bill. For example, if I order a spaghetti dinner, I usually do not get a salad with it because I tell them to exclude that from the dinner. A salad usually comes with the spaghetti dinners including garlic bread and one giant meatball. If I do not want something it should be taken off my bill, but it seems the bill remains as much as it is with the salad. If the receipts, they give you are not going be detailed, then there is no way to know anything about what they have purchased. Sometimes people keep extensive details on what led up to the amount that they paid for something so they can have a much clearer picture of their bank accounts, so they can better budget their money by making better financial decisions. Every other business l gives out receipts that have the exact charges listed on it. I had spoken with one of the employees on the phone when I was placing an order one day and they even complained about the POS system being poor. There was another day where I had placed an order and the new girl that was hired had a tough time with the POS system that she messed up my order and she had to call me back to cancel the transaction. That took a few days to come back in my bank account, so I had to spend twice as much that day just to get my dinner. I will say on a 'positive' note, the food is usually much better when you eat at the restaurant rather than delivery of which I assume is because they know you can send it back to the kitchen. Luigi's generously donates food to first responders once in a while, as well as holds free holiday dinners for those that cannot afford. Unfortunately, they do that just to make themselves look good. Great selection! Excellent pizza, sliced traditionally or Sicilian, depending on how you like it. The fried mushrooms and fried cauliflower are amazing. Their wings are the absolute best, hands down. Service is not fantastic, but the waitress handles the register, handles the phones, and helps with food prep. Prices are fair considering the amount of food you get. I'm from VERY out-of-state, and every time I visit, I MUST have at least one meal here! They'd earn a fifth star if their service was better. read more

Food is definitely 5 stars! We got pizza and barbecued wings. The pizza has a Pizza Hut kinda of crispy-doughy crust only WAY better than Pizza Hut. The wings were some of the best wings I've ever had. Crispy, saucy and delicious! Atmosphere is a 1 out of 5 stars. This place is dirty as all get out! The decoration is very tacky with the drywall all messed up and wallpaper pealing. The ladies room was gross. It needs a definite remodel. I recommend picking up your pizza and going to Erwin Park if you want atmospere! Service was 2 out of 5 stars. Our waitress was also the register girl and she was definitely unattentive (it wasn't busy!) and forgot to ask if we wanted drinks when she took our order. Then when I went to the register to ask for fountain drinks she seemed annoyed because I could have helped myself to bottled drinks from the refrigerator. She then didn't give us straws or lids and spilled our drinks on the counter when handing them over. Why did I have to go to the counter and why didn't I get a real cup if I was dining in? I give 1 star only because 0 stars is not a option. If you order from Luigi's make sure you have zero expectations so that you won't be disappointed. My family owns a restaurant service company and I have eaten at many restaurants all over the country. Our order consisted of a meatball grinder, buffalo chicken wings and chicken parmigiano. We ordered delivery and called after waiting for an hour and 10 minutes. We live 13 minutes from the location. They finally arrived at an hour and 35 minutes. The delivery person was apologetic and nice enough in comparison to the person we talked to at the restaurant who hadn't been, this should have been my first clue. The food at delivery was barely room temperature, the chicken parm terrible. It was cheap, pre-cut battered chicken you would grab at an all night gas station when you had no other choice and only filled half the styrofoam container in width and not even a 1/4" thick and a very small salad. The most shocking thing was that for $15.99 you didn't even get pasta with the meal. I have never heard of chicken parm being served WITHOUT PASTA!! NONE, NOT EVEN A SMALL AMOUNT! We called Luigi's to inquire why no one even said anything when we placed the order. Basically we were told we got a salad and we should be happy, they are now closed (beingbnearly 2 hours later now) and there is nothing they will do or would have done to make things right. For the pasta or the 45+ minutes past the promised time of delivery. This is what they call service, sadly there are many ways they could have made this right. So we threw out the chicken parm ssbit wasnt even edible and opened the wings. They must be from the local park or maybe the back woods because they weren't chicken wings. The weren't much bigger than the size frog leg so I am thinking pigeon, Cornish game hen or maybe a baby quail. They were pathetic at best. I would say eat here only of you were starving and on a limited budget but you would stare to death before it was delivered, if by chance you live yhrough the waiting on delivery, the food would only sustain you for your ride to a local food shelter and realistically if you had a limited budget you wouldn't afford the very over priced food anyways. You would do far better in quality, quantity, service and cost going to the nearest fast food establishment and ordering off the dollar menu. Knowing how the restaurant industry works I make a point of writing a review when ever food or service is good visit Facebook, this is the first time i have ever been compelled to write a negative reviews and use Yelp in addition to FB.
