The place was packed and full of buzz. There was a pair of seats at the bar and we grabbed those. Perused the menu and ordered some craft beer. We could see how in the weeds the staff was, so, we put on our chill and just went with the flow. Crafty beer was very tasty (the Frostbite IPA was awesome!). We ordered a pizza and hunkered down. The pizza came out of the window and was brought over by the boss. She explained that they were slammed, the oven was misbehaving and that the pizza was not up to their standards. She was having ours remade and comp'd. The remade pie arrived and was devoured. It was delicious (New Mexico with pepperoni and green chile) and likely even more so because of our hunger after driving all day. We will most certainly be back. And we will get a bigger pie!

They had the AC at the perfect temperature and fun specials done in chalk on their fridge. The staff was really friendly and happy to help. We placed our order online and it was fresh and ready exactly on time! The order was 100% correct, even down to my request on dips! It was so easy to go in and pick it up but the place looked so fun we were tempted to stay! Loved this location!

The experience was so good, we went back again on Sunday--our last night in town. That says everything. On Thursday, we had the salmon--exceptional, perfectly prepared, flavorful, and beautifully plated. On Sunday, we tried their steak and shrimp, which was equally outstanding. Both nights, the food was superb. But here's what really impressed me: I tried the beer tasting flight for the first time, and I actually liked every single beer. That's never happened to me before. Whoever curates their selection knows what they're doing. Our server, Gabe, was excellent -- attentive, knowledgeable, and genuinely friendly. He made both visits feel special. Pecan Grill and Brewery delivers on every level: outstanding food, exceptional beer selection, and hospitality that makes you want to come back. If you're in Las Cruces, this place is a must-visit. I ordered the fish and chips. It took a very, very long time to come out. But when it did, I had to ask the server for silverware. She had all the time in the world to put that down. But both the French fries and the fish were dripping in grease. See the picture! You need a good hot fryer with clean oil to make fish and chips right. To the plus side they tried to compensate me, but that didn't matter with me. I had expectations of a good meal and was taken off guard on how bad both the service and meal were. I really hate to post this but again the fact that in the past they were really good and now they are this bad. Oh well, there are still other microbreweries/pubs in town.
