I have been going to Lucy's Alterations for 17 years now. They are very knowledgeable and do great alterations. I've never had an issue and have always had great service there. I take ALL my alterations there and I have a lot since I'm short in stature and all my pants and sleeves have to always get adjusted. Unfortunately the negative reviews are correct they can mostly size down not make things bigger because they don't have the fabric. The rent must be very high in their location because they do charge a lot I paid 80$ for a blazer that was still too small and their tailoring just ripped the material over time I got another blazer (the same blazer) took it to another tailer a little further up the road and paid $30! Fit perfect ! But they do follow the date they followed my 2 day time period. read more

Lucys is our families go-to spot for alterations, fixing ripped seams and popped buttons. We have used for years and they always have items ready when they say they will be and are very reasonable on prices. Do not go there!!! Paid 90$ to adjust a dress, they sized my daughter in the upper area and waist. Got the dress back 1 day after it was promised. Had my receipt they had a hard time finding the dress. Dress was not altered... needed it on a certain date, they gonna have the nerves to ask me to bring it back to alter it and refuse to refund .. definitely do not go to them! Unless if you want to pay for a service you are not gonna get. read more

This a horrible place to bring your garments. The service is extremely poor. When you try on your garment that supposed to be already fixed and you tell to these two people that something is not right with the garment, they get mad and touch you in a way that make you feel uncomfortable. If you decide to use their service, make sure they write exactly the reason why they are fixing it. I paid for what they didn't fix and they wanted me to pay more for something that they did not fix. I've been going to Lucy for years from altering the waste of pants (in and out, but mostly out..smh), hemming my slacks/jean lengths, sewing up holes in pants, and even to get measurements for a tux rental! Lucy is very nice and always has my alterations done at the date provided and costs are fair! I have been going to Lucy since my daughter started dancing at the Step- In-Time back in 1996, she altered dance costumes for 15 years for my daughter. In 2016 my daughter needed her wedding dress altered, we trusted Lucy to make the right adjustments and even add a few things to the dress. We were not disappointed!! She even remembered my daughter from all the years we have been coming. I still go to her for things that need repaired, or fixed or just sewn together! I was sure this place would be awesome based on the great reviews, but was very disappointed that they "forgot" about my skirt. I'm leaving for a wedding and had planned to wear the skirt, which they said would be ready today at 1. Came to pick it up and was told they were "sick and forgot" about my order. This was our first and last time using this place for alterations! She was rude when she was marking the suit for alterations and barely even spoke to us, and acted like we were inconveniencing her by coming to their business. They initially wrote down $45 on our ticket to alter a suit. They were supposed to alter the sleeves, pants, and the jacket. When we called yesterday to see if it was ready yet (a day early), the lady was rude and said "what day did I write down?!" "Then no it isn't ready yet!!" When we went to pick it up today, they forgot to do the jacket and only altered the sleeves and pants. And then she was charging us $57 instead of the $45 and wouldn't explain what the extra charges were! Horrible service and horrible experience. read more

We needed my sons baseball pants altered on short notice and one of the other facilities in town only had their alterations person there during the day in the morning. This didn't work for my son who is in school. We went into Lucy's and they were so nice and got the job done very fast. Results were exactly what we wanted so we are very happy. We have been having things altered for 15 years there but we bought a brand new tux jacket and took it to be altered. She got super glue on the front of the jacket and instead of doing something about it she accused me of it already being on the jacket. Which is ridiculous since I had just bought the jacket and it was in a garment bag. She also said she only used glue on the back of the jacket. Which I am wondering why she was using glue on the jacket at all! We couldn't have gotten anything on it. The worst customer service ever!!!!! We will never use this place again. read more

I love this place! I have had 2 dresses altered and both were done quickly and perfectly. The lady greets me with a smile every time and she is so sweet to my daughter. My mom has also used this place for pants hemming and she said the price is much better than anywhere else she had gone. I will definitely make Lucy's my tailor from now on! read more

Forgot to pick my work uniform I had altered and needed it before I went out of town Monday so I called them after hours and the owner took time out of his Sunday to open the shop and help me out. Great service and price. I would highly recommend. read more
