I had brought my leather jacket in to see about getting section of inside liner sewn. The gentleman looked at it to evaluate it, then proceeded to sew it by hand. It was awesome to witness a bonafide tailor at work. He was done quickly with an excellent mend. I highly recommend this place for any sewing and alterations. read more

He previously was a Master Tailor for a major men's clothing chain that I have used for many years here in Texas before he moved into private practice. While I have a longtime tailor, he is located pretty far away and his hours combined with my work schedule have recently created challenges. Enter the need for a tailor closer to home and The Pant Doctor. As the first reviewer said, these folks are professionals who do excellent work. Today I took in 2 dresses, one to be hemmed and one to have decorative buttons sewn on tighter. They told me the items would be ready next Saturday (in a week) which is reasonable and I'm in no hurry anyway. I got a call less than 2 hours later to tell me my garments were already finished and ready for pickup! That's speedy service. As a first time customer, I obviously don't know if this is the norm or a fluke, but I was thrilled to get the garments before the holiday. The quality of the alterations appears to be excellent and they did exactly as I asked. All that said, I paid $30 for both dresses, which I feel is fair and in line with what my longtime tailor charges. There is a 15% discount for all first time customers (just ask). If you are wanting a price, I'd suggest calling. The owner was extremely nice and has been a tailor all his life (at least 25 yrs I'd estimate) and his sister who works with him is a dressmaker who also has many years of experience. This is by far the best tailor I have ever used. The owner is a true artist. His attention to detail is impeccable and only out shined by his humility. The saying "you get what you pay for" is true; other tailors may be a little cheaper but you get what you pay for. I am willing to pay a little more for services that are expertly executed by someone that is a true craftsman. I went to Pant Doctor to hem some linen slacks, Mr. Marco was an absolute gentlemen, His customer service, and work is exemplary! I then followed with a suit I needed taking in, he explained exactly what he was going to do and WHY!!! My suit was completed before he promised and the work is simply perfect!! I went into Debbie's Cleaners and Pant Doctor to get some alterations on a pair of slacks and see what could be done with one of my suits that was a decade out of date. Marco is the tailor at the Pant Doctor. I cannot speak highly enough of Marco and the work that he performed. He corrected the waist perfectly on my slacks and completely transformed my suit to update the style for a great price which saved me a ton of money having to buy an entirely new suit. The quality is amazing and was able to completely take my pants apart and built them back. Aside from the quality and price Marco's customer service was next to none. I have been to tailors and gotten pants altered in the past and they completed measurements and changes but were not nearly as attentive. Marco made sure I was completely happy with the changes and made small changes when trying on the clothes to ensure they were perfect. Marco is talented, professional and I highly recommend going to talk with Marco to complete any alteration needs you may have. I will be going back. read more
