Chicken gravy and bacon with oven roasted potatoes and biscuit on the side

Amazing chicken with gravy. Great vibe with fun servers. Good place to go with family and friends

This was our first time exploring the area, we decided to stop in for brunch, the food and service was excellent. I highly recommend the Panko BLT or the Ruben.

Stopped in for Brunch on a Monday. Friendly greeting as we arrived and were promptly seated. Our waiter was polite and took our orders. We had the Belgium waffle and a ham and bacon sandwich. We we pleased with the meal and the atmosphere was quaint and pleasant. This is our second time here and would recommend it to anyone.

Still absolutely delicious and everyone in town seems to know it because it can get busy. Be prepared to wait just a bit at peak times but I think it's worth the wait!

Phenomenal brunch spot if you're passing through or just camped out here for the weekend. Our server was friendly and accommodated us quickly even though the restaurant was very busy. The restaurant itself is pretty rustic and a classic small town experience. The Fried Chicken Sandwich was the star of the show... the breast was portioned perfectly and topped with a jalapeño cheddar spread & delicious pickles. Adding this to my "must stops" through the mountains!

As many times as we have been to Sylva, it jas taken us until now to check out this town staple and so glad we finally did! They have plenty of seating inside and a small patio area as well for outdoor dining. We were greeted and seated quickly. We placed our order, and food was brought quickly. Our waitress, Brooke, was attentive and checked in often to see if we needed anything. Relaxed atmosphere featuring an extensive menu and really good food, so be sure to check them out

Great breakfast spot in Sylva. I got the huevos rancheros and it was delicious! My husband got the biscuits and gravy and a waffle. He loved the biscuits and gravy. Service was great and timely. The space can echo a bit so it can kinda get loud in there, but it's honestly because of other people's volume-nothing on them! Would come back!

A very tasty brunch in downtown Sylva. I had the biscuit flight, which the menu said came with 2 biscuits but arrived with three on the plate, and who am I to complain? The three jams -- bacon, poblano, and strawberry -- were all delicious, and combining the bacon and poblano actually improved the two. I also got a side of cheese grits, which was improved tableside with salt and pepper. My boyfriend got the smothered fried chicken, his dad got the sausage burrito (he commented that he'd never had a burrito with gravy on it), and his mom got the classic breakfast, and we all enjoyed. Our server was friendly but our table was a bit far from where others were sitting and it was occasionally difficult to get his attention for drink refills. Still, a good place to remember for breakfast or brunch.

Charming town. I ordered the breakfast sandwich. It was a potato bun, blackened fried egg, jack cheese, tomato, mayo, and applewood smoked bacon. Also a side of panko red fried tomatoes that were my favorite!

Eggs and sausage with cheese grits and gravy. The biscuit was extra but completely worth it.

Located along W. Main, there is plenty of angled parking along the street. We were lucky and found a space right in front. I didn't notice any handicapped spaces nearby but that's not the restaurant's fault. We had a small step up the curb and a short walk to the entrance. We came in through the nice outdoor seating area. The hostess station is to the right. It would be right in front if you came in the other front door. We were greeted immediately and seated right away. Our server took the drink order and then came back with the drinks quickly to take the food order. The food came out in about five minutes. The eggs with sausage were excellent. The eggs were cooked as ordered and the sausage was locally sourced and very flavorful. I selected the cheese grits and gravy as sides and added a biscuit. This was a wonderful choice. The cheese grits were cheesy throughout as well as the cheese layered on top. The gravy was outstanding. Just dipping fork tines into the bowl produced an explosion of flavor with a distinct sausage flavor. The biscuit was grilled and was the perfect accompaniment to the gravy. The salmon Benedict was amazing. Every bite included salmon. The flavor blend is top notch. The seasoned potatoes side was also very good. They were roasted and seasoned to perfection. Our server Mack was attentive without being intrusive. All the staff was working and all seemed to enjoy what they were doing. This was a wonderful dining experience and we cannot wait to return.

It's been over a year since I've been to this spot, and I'm so glad I made the stop before heading back to Charlotte after a concert in Nashville! I used to go here all the time in college, and it's just as good as I remember. Their breakfast potatoes are hands down the best I've ever had - crispy, flavorful, and perfectly seasoned. The vibe is always so welcoming, and it's one of those places that just makes you feel at home. If you're ever in Sylva, don't miss this spot. It's definitely one of my favorite brunch places, and I'll always make sure to hit it up when I'm in town!

Right in the heart of downtown Sylva, this quaint little restaurant with yoga upstairs. My first initial reaction was awkward though. They have a waiting area which seems like a great idea but it's in the back right by the restrooms. So every person coming to use the facilities has to ask if this is the line and someone has to say no, we are just waiting. Also a lack of privacy for the individual using the restroom. What if you had to poo! Also side note the orange juice is fresh squeezed, which most people love but personally, I hate. I ordered the Carnival King which is a waffle with 2 eggs and a meat side. My partner got the biscuit and gravy. Which was the smallest thing I've ever seen but overall good food and great service

First, let's address the only downside: my burger was slightly overcooked. The server was very kind and attentive, but by the time she came back around to check on us, it felt a little late to send it back. I decided to remove the meat and enjoy the rest of the burger -- and surprisingly, it was still very good. My only hope for next time is that everything comes out cooked exactly as intended. Now for the positives -- because there are plenty. The wait time was excellent. We didn't have to wait for a table, and the food came out in a timely manner. That level of efficiency definitely adds to the overall experience. This restaurant is clearly operating at a high level. The location is great, the atmosphere is welcoming, and everything feels well-managed. You can tell there's pride behind what they're doing. We ordered The Goat Burger with Crispy Buttered Taters and started with the Fried Deviled Eggs. The fried deviled eggs were a standout. They had a salty base with a slight kick of heat, and the pickled onions brought in a sweet, tangy balance that elevated the dish. The salty-sweet combination worked beautifully together. A strong appetizer choice. As for The Goat Burger -- aside from being slightly overcooked -- the flavor was impressive. The patty was well seasoned, and the fried goat cheese paired with bacon created a rich, savory profile that complemented the crispy buttered taters perfectly. Everything worked cohesively on the plate. Even after removing the meat, the toppings and structure still delivered strong flavor. The food was absolutely worth the money. I left feeling full and satisfied without feeling overly heavy, which is always a plus. This is a place I will go back to again and again. I would confidently recommend it to others -- great location, good food, good people, and solid service. They also offer wine and beer for those who want to enjoy a drink with their meal. Overall, a very strong experience. I'm looking forward to coming back -- and next time, I'm hoping everything comes out cooked perfectly.

The layout of the restaurant is very homey with the Green velvet love seat by the door in the waiting area. It seems very casual with mostly family's and a few couples at the bar. When we arrived there was a short wait so we walked out to admire the Jackson County Courthouse on the hill across the street. After our brief walk our table was ready. We had my wife, son 2 daughters and the oldest one's boyfriend who goes to WCU. We started with the fried deviled egg and cheesy prosciutto croquettes for an appetizer. Big fan of the tomato jam and croquettes so much that I saved the remaining portion for my Gouda grits. They have a wide variety on the menu so everyone found a meal they would enjoy. My wife got the motherclucker chicken sammich with a salad, my youngest daughter got pasta Alfredo, my son got the Rueben, I ordered the fish tacos with Gouda grits and Karlea and Tristan got a basic burger and fries. Other than being messy, my fish tacos were tasty with the slaw and blueberry composite. My wife liked her chicken sammich even though it was at the edge of her threshold for spicy. Brody enjoyed his Rueben but the seasoned veggies were a bit bland. Forager seems like a Sylva staple that will stay on my shortlist. Cheers!

Everything about the restaurant was so special, amazing location for a sunset dinner, perched high above the Blue Ridge Mountains - amazing views. The best thing is if you stay at the Skyline Lodge, it's just steps away from your room and that comes in super handy when it's brunch time! We were fortunate enough to enjoy these two meals; dinner & brunch with our kids (who are foodies too) and they are now huge fans of Oak Steakhouse. They said it was the best steak they ever had, you can't go wrong with the Filet! The menu is not huge but really has all of the dishes you would want for an amazing dinner. Plenty of options, even if you don't eat steak. Amazing sides to accompany each dish and you must start with the bread, which is made in-house. I went with a dish I have not tried before and it did not disappoint, Venison Wellington while my wife tried the trout. I will let the photos do the talking. They also pour an amazing espresso martini by the way and to finish you have to try the chocolate cake, trust me! We also want to give a shot out to all of the staff and servers; their attention to detail and overall service was outstanding! Seems to be the case at all Indigo Road establishments, they really know hospitality. We cannot recommend Oak Steakhouse enough, even if you're not staying there but in the Highlands of NC make sure you give them a visit.

Our server was very friendly and (unprompted) comped our bread service after a lengthy delay. Once received, the bread was amazing and went nicely with my lettuce wedge salad. The entrees were excellent as well, with my wife loving her risotto and my steak frites being top notch with fork-tender beef and amazing truffle fries. The portions are generous so to-go bags are a common sight. Oak is not inexpensive, but clearly the value is there if you are looking for a proper steakhouse experience near Highlands.
