The view from the front window of the restaurant. Happy Labor Day view or what!!!

I know there is busy places in Maggie Valley and we went to one and seen a line wrapped around a building and decided not to eat there and came here. And our we ever glad we did. Yes indeed! Sat down immediately. Ordered coffee and received it very quick. Ordered an omelette and my other half ordered pancakes. Both were great. Couldn't ask for better. Food was hot and delicious. Hardly any wait whatsoever. Very clean restaurant and polite and courteous staff. Never had to wait for anything. Looking for a place that you don't have to wait all morning to eat at, this is definitely the place. Also, there is a view in front of the window I was just mesmerized by looking at. I edited the buildings out of it. Still beautiful with the buildings though regardless. Happy Labor Day although we were here last weekend. It's still in the spirit.

What an incredible experience! We were traveling from Hendersonville to Cades Cove, when Dave wanted to get some breakfast. We had seen the Maggie Valley Restaurant as we drove by many times. So we got out and left Freckles in the car while we ate. It was a very cool morning and there weren't any outside tables. As soon as we walked in, the owner gave us a table by the window so we could watch our baby! Then he told us that they were dog friendly and love dogs and that we should bring her inside. So Dave went out and got her and she was showered with attention and affection. All the servers came to see her and brought her a big plate of bacon! Dave and I ordered delicious Western Omelets filled with ham and diced vegetables and cheese. We had sides of grits and biscuits and a carafe of fresh coffee. Yummy! Who could ask for anything more! The owner let Freckles sit next to Dave and she looked like a little person! We thank Maggie Valley Restaurant for a wondering inspiring visit which started off our day in a positive way!

The service was quick and friendly! The food was delicious would definitely go back! The best thing had to be the soft flakey biscuit, it is a must try.

Cluttered section of restaurant. Wasted space that could accommodate guests.

Quaint local restaurant. There wasn't much of a line but front of the house was a bit lackadaisical about busing the empty tables. We could've been seated much more quickly than we were. The food was good to average. My husband and I each had a bacon egg and cheese biscuit with a side of grits and coffee. Everything came out promptly and hot. An observation: one section of the restaurant was cluttered with junk that could've accommodated 4 additional dining booths. If they're interested in growing their business or improving patron accommodations this is an easy fix.

Fried chicken, mashed potatoes, gravy, & beans.

It definitely could have been mixed a bit more because a lot of caramel was concentrated on the bottom but it was amazing. I'd go back for more. The slushie on the other hand was meh. Overall I'd be back maybe even to try the butter beer thing they had advertised on their board I didn't see until after getting cider. Prices were also reasonable too which is definitely a win!

My crew had two drip coffees, strawberry slushie, and a blueberry and cheese danish. They have multiple carafes of drip coffee available, and I settled on the Breakfast Blend. The service was excellent, from the person who helped us with the danish, to the person who helped my kiddo decide on their drink. But the best service was to have an encounter with the coffee roaster himself. We were able to witness the original, untreated coffee beans, with their greenish hue. We could then see the vat with the roasted bean and compare. To our luck, we only had to wait 10° to see freshly roasted beans come out! Who needs any other entertainment when you can learn about where your coffee comes from and how it goes from start to finish. We actually came here for their whole bean coffee, and everything else was an unexpected bonus. We picked the Organic Guatemalan Roast, since we are creatures of habit. They ground our coffee for us, we paid, and went off on our journey a little more relaxed than when we came in. Definitely a place to stop when you're in the area. We love their coffee and their hospitality.

We don't really go to coffee shops that often, partly because I am not a coffee drinker in the first place, and my mom has issues with most of them since they cannot get her order correct (yes, this is foreboding). It turns out that Caffeine and Chaos is well named. From the outside there is quite a bit of neon, and it is joined at the hip by a kids inside playground that for this particular morning was rented out for a kids birthday party. Observing the kids showed me just how unmanaged and spoiled some of the kids were, and how well mannered and sensible others were. It was a true dichotomy of child-rearing methodology, which was kind of fascinating. As for the place... there are the typical sofas and other lounging areas for coffee patrons to sit in, though when we walked in they were all mobbed by the parents of the kids as they waited for the playground to be opened up, so the unmanaged kids were running around screaming their heads off. This of course caused the barista crew to be somewhat harried, and that is not a good thing in this case because they already had organization issues. It seemed like only one of the crew really knew what they were doing, while the others were sitting at their stations and following orders... so of course our order got completely lost and we were sitting there for fifteen minutes waiting for an order that was never worked on. Not even a hard order, mind you... just a hot chocolate for me and a slightly watered down Americano for my mom. It was only once I walked up and asked them where our order was that the person who took our order realized it was completely missing, and they rushed it... which then meant that it was screwed up... My hot chocolate was fine, but the Americano was severely watered down the way Americans seem to like it, and not strong the way my mom likes it (see? Told ya there was foreboding!) However, we just took the drinks to our table and had them, because we were already on a time table and they were entirely too disorganized behind the counter for this to go any further with good results. We won't be back.
