AAR not only responded quickly, but Sandy who I corresponded with was so caring and amazing. When I dropped the little dog off Sandy showed me the facility and it's beautiful! It definitely was a relief to know that the little guy would be in good hands. Sandy even said she'd be happy to update me on the dog's shelter journey up until adoption! I'm so grateful for rescues like AAR and the volunteers who work there because they are helping strays like the little guy I found have a chance at a new and better life. Highly recommend.

Communication with staff was great. Kimberly endured my endless questions with kindness. Transport company was also great. Our baby girl arrived yesterday in happy and healthy condition, her attitude was jubilant. We were worried the transport would traumatize her (33 hours in a truck). She is bounding around as we speak, squeaking her new toy, digesting the best treats we could buy and make. Corridor did a great job with Prudence and if you are thinking of adopting from them, do so. They do great work.

Therese is clearly a competent and compassionate trainer and owner. I sent my recently-rescued dog to her for boarding and training while I was out of town. She was accommodating in every way, and communicated with me often (including sending me photos of my pup having fun with his new playmates!). My dog, who was timid, fearful, and anxious, was a different pup at K9 Heeler. It was shocking to see how confident, playful, and carefree he was! We still have a lot of work to do at home to help him overcome his prior traumas. Therese has been a wonderful resource, checking in with us and offering advice, even after his time with her. I have recommended her to all of my friends, and will definitely continue to seek out K9 Heeler for all of my training and boarding needs.

I threaten to pull my dogs and then he bought, two large crates, which I paid for. Darryl is a nice man, but some what anti-social. He told me his wife said that of himself. He NEVER initiated any text if the dogs need more food for me to bring, how are they doing, etc. Last day, while performing a brief training for me, both my dogs were very excited. Zeus was desperate to reach me and Darryl Was choking him hard to be still. He pissed me off, but I kept my composure barely! I have no idea where he studies canine behavior but much of it is incorrect. He told me when my female German Shepherd puts he paws on my right leg, she is humping me and trying to dominate me.. She is not. If he paid attention, which he does not, she was looking up to me in total love and beautiful eyes. She is always submissive to me. Another thing he said, because I let me dogs sleep with me, I let them dominate me (dominating position) . I laughed within myself and openly disagreed. Dogs sleep with their human family because they want to protect them, be close with them and love. Where this guy gets his information beats me. He said he will send me an amazon link where he bought the collars, he did not. I have asked him for information about collars and muzzles and he is NOT interested to help. He is NOT at all engaging and probably did little training. Since I got my German Shepherds back, my female still lunges at people walking by and that was the first emphasis. Avoid at all cost. Most K9 trainers are junk and ripoff artist. He trained my dog about an hour each one (at best) and charges 1000 a week for both. I brought all the food (I had to ping him several times) and spend $205.00 for 2 large crates to put my German Shepherds in, not those small, prison crates he had and Gwen A. experienced too. When he did this, it showed he did not care for my dogs and has no compassion. Stupid me to go to him

Darryl told me that he could help so I left my dog in his care. He was suppose to update me in a…read moreweek. He didn't call so I called and he told me my dog didn't care for him. The website gave me the impression that several people would be training. After about two and one half weeks he told me he couldn't help my dog. When I dropped him off he was put in a crate in which he could hardly move around. Darryl told me he would put him in a larger one. When I went to pick him up I wanted to cry he look awful and he has feces on him. He was also very dehydrated and very little of his dog food had been eaten. I think he was left in a too little crate the whole time and not given any water or food. He didn't have his original leash and Darryl said he would mail it to my home. I sent an email and text inquiring about a refund and no response to either and that was not a surprise.

He attempted to dominate me as though I were a dog and wouldn't let me speak and explain about my pet. We initially thought we'd foster her for adoption due to her dog aggression issues. After working with Travis, we decided togive Rosie a forever home ourselves. We brought Travis in to privately train her so she didn't have to deal with the stress of a group setting and because we wanted a tailored training program. With Lone Star Dog Training, we received an excellent job. Travis educated us about how training is important and what results he felt we could see. Over the course of 4 months, Rosie went from being aggressive toward our other dogs to feeling safe and comfortable with them. She's even adopted our 12 year old border terrier as her sister. Rosie has progressed from a frightened stray who did not wag her tail or understand how to take affection, to bounding and leaping with joy when she sees her people. She now seeks out our affections and looks forward to spending time with us. If not for Lone Star Dog Training, we would not have decided to keep her.
