Great delivery for such a small town. The pork fries rice could use a little more scallions and such but it's a solid three the potstickers were good and very large but they don't make there own sauce so I was given the soy vinegar as the sauce. My dad and I came into Coos Bay for the Labor day weekend to meet up! We came across the Mills Casino and stayed at their RV park. Very close by is this Chinese Restaurant. They have lunch combination plates, won ton soup, noodle dishes and more. American Chinese food. But, my dad and I spoke with Sara, owner with her husband of the restaurant about authentic Cantonese cuisine. She is super sweet. We ordered a House Special Seafood Chow Mein mix with vegetables with Hong Kong Style pan fried noodles, won ton soup and sweet and sour pork to share. Huge portions. By far the best Chinese food I have had in the Coos Bay/North Bend area. Located kitty corner from the casino, this restaurant is hard to miss. They have all the usual American-Chinese food favorites, but what I like about this place was selection of more traditional Chinese dishes such a beef chow fun. On my visit, I opted for the chow fun and a order of pot stickers to go. It took about 10 minutes for my order and cost about $15. When I got home and unpacked my food, the order of chow fun was huge! It could easily feed two people. In terms of flavor, it wasn't too greasy or too salty, which was nice. The pot stickers were also more traditional. Instead of the entire dumpling being thrown into the deep fryer, only one side was crispy, while the rest of the dumpling was still soft. Since my food was to go, I can't really comment on the service. The little intereraction I did have, the staff seemed friendly and efficient. Definitely my go to spot in the Coos Bay/North Bend area for Chinese food. Looking forward to trying some of the other menu items next time. read more

My SIL recommended Lucky Star as a place she goes every time she's in Coos Bay. She is VERY picky about Chinese food, so I figured this was a good bet. She was right. Food was very good and plentiful. I had the cashew chicken, which was the best I'd had since I waitressed for a Chinese restaurant when I was 16 (and that was 50 years ago!) pot stickers were awesome, and my DH's combo which included sweet and sour pork and chicken chow neon was wonderful, too. Placed an order Online with a 35-45 minute delivery time. 1/2 hour after the expected delivery I called them. Asked for a manager, no one on duty. Asked for a supervisor, no one on duty. The girl who answered the phone could barely speak English and had such an accent she was almost understandable. 1 1/2 hours late my order finally came. I chewed on the delivery kid, he explained they take orders well before his shift then wait until he starts work. We asked for a table close to the door as we are disabled and they took us to the far most end of the restaurant you can get from the door. The tea was burnt along with our appetizer. I ordered beef and broccoli and tried the "beef" but could not identify the meat so I ate the rice. My husband tried it and also spit it out. The server never came to our table to see how we were doing except to give us the check. Then I was able to tell her but the manager said since I ate the rice that the meal was considered half gone and refused to do anything. So besides from the journey across the empty dining room, burnt tea, mystery meat, burnt crab puffs and greasy vegetable rolls the glass of water was totally delicious! I came here once a while back. I ordered some sort of pork, and it was dry and as tough as piece of jerky. that's been sitting under the Arizona sun for 30 days. The server was a male, and it's not that he was unfriendly exactly, he just made it clear to me with his facial expressions, body language, lackluster attitude that he really hated his job and couldn't wait for me to order, scarf it down as fast as I could, give him his money and leave. I don't eat meat and any dish with vegetables can be made without meat or with tofu. My family had 2 or 3 entrée lunch specials and left with left overs as well. The total for four people with tea, a soft drink, and really big meals was under $30. I will definitely be back. This place is legit (for Coos Bay). Delicious, huge plates of food. They have a special where you can pick 5 or 6 things for under $10 to create your own combo. They also have smaller selections of combos. They make anything vegetarian with tofu (thank god!!). I had the orange tofu which was a little sweet and incredibly messy but that's OK. FYI: The tofu is not fried (So it is still floppy in large triangles). My boyfriend was happy with his beef dish. The crab puffs come with sweet and sour sauce. I think we got 12 for a very affordable price. I was quite pleased. They delivered to our hotel room which was incredible after a long, tiring day. read more
