In an age when so many sub shops are big chains, finding a family run one is a very pleasant surprise! Sure, you pay a little more, but the quality difference is readily apparent! WOW! One of the best Italian subs I've ever had and I've had plenty! Ingredients are fresh and delicious! The homemade bread is truly next level! They also have a variety of homemade cookies and other baked goods! This place had a line out the door when I arrived and a new one had formed by the time I left! They are currently short staffed as their sign says. Be patient, the sandwich is well worth the wait! I have loved City Subs since the late 90s. Many owners over the years have lessened my love. The only thing that remains is the homemade bread. Turkey used to be fresh not lunch meat. Now the sandwiches are so thinly filled it's hard to even taste the meat. The service is unbelievably slow and the owner will look right past you as you stand at the counter. Lots of workers but only one cash register is ever opened. They seem to coast on their previously good reputation. I keep going back hoping they have improved but alas they are only getting worse. read more

The food is fantastic. Takeout orders take a good while to pick up- and they do not have a designated pick up area or staff to cash out those Takeout orders while someone is taking dine in orders. The restaurant is always busy so if you have called in a take out order you'll be standing in a line of 10+ people ordering in front of you before you can pick it up. This has happened several times- making lunch break deadlines difficult so often is hard to get lunch here- but other than that city subs has some great food. Suggestion is to have someone handling to go transactions and someone handling dine in- it would make ordering lunch or picking up lunch so much more efficient. read more

We went into this deli last week for the first time. I understand that they are short staffed, but 30 minutes in line is ridiculous. I have never been into a place with only one choice of bread. White. It was not good. I am used to Bungalow's tankers, so when I saw the small the sandwich I was shocked. It was very small for the price. I ordered a veggie sandwich with cheese. i got a cheese sandwich with almost no veggies it had no lettuce. The main reason I wont be back, is the lady in the front, who was very nice, was touching cards and money and her hand often touched food as well. That is actually a health violation and gross. Have to downgrade City Subs just a notch from the top eschalon - I would do 4.5 stars if I could. - seems like their soup variety has really tapered off as of late. There used to be four daily soups, however, it has only been 2 or 3 lately. The bread quality along with all the meats have stayed the same - absolutely delicious.
