Went for a badly needed manicure. She had me soak my hands in cold water for a short period of time and after "doing" my cuticles with an extremely light hand and barely cutting anything, I inspected my nails and saw virtually no difference. I asked if she could please clean them up more. She said "they're going to bleed" (???? she had barely touched them). Then she painted my nails and had me dry them for ten minutes. She barely checked if they were dry and said "all good", making me pay and finish up. When I left the shop, they were ALLL smudged because they were NOT dry. It was a total waste of 25 dollars, as my cuticles are all still chopped and the paint itself got all smudged. I would not recommend this place for a nice manicure. read more

Worst mani pedi I've ever had. Wanted basic french manicure on my natural nails, of course they pushed gels, dip, insisting it was better, I said no, finally he starts my manicure, he stars to put polish on, I asked him to please clean under my fingernails, I still had red polish on, he didn't get it all off, so he tells me they don't clean under the fingernails, WHAT??? so I proceeded to clean under my fingernails, with my own nails as he sat and watched. I asked if he had an orangewood stick so I could clean underneath with out having to use my nails, Nope, they don't have them. Needles to say I was NOT happy! After the sub par french polish, I proceed to the pedicure chair, the woman was nice, but the pedi was horrible, she didn't clean the cuticles, the polish was terrible. I couldn't wait to get out of there. I'm in the service industry, and I ALWAYS tip, even if I'm not that happy with the service. I walked out the door, did not tip either one, and will NEVER go back again!! read more

Just went there for a nice relaxing pedicure, by that is not what I got! I called and booked an appt but was rushed out within 20 minutes no lotion, dry cuticles, and polish all over my skin. I live so close and so sad that I had such a bad experience! Even when trying to pay was told how much and stood there worth no help, gave a tip and didn't even get a thank you. I have never had a bad experience with my fingernails since I've gone to Lucky Nails. The girls all have the tools in sterilization and the notes that some people have left on this are a bit off. I have never had my eyebrows done, but have seen friends get them done and they never had issues either. My issue with them mostly has to do with the constant talking back and forth in Vietnamese. It can sometimes make you feel like they have something to say about you, and just want to say it in another language. I also lately have been feeling like every time I go in there that I am putting them out because I need a fill. I know doing what they do is not easy, but when the female owner is not around it seems like attitudes change quite a bit. Just an observation. I have changed salons now to another one in town that has some very friendly ladies in it, and I never feel like I'm putting them out if I need my nails done. Maybe Lucky Nails can fix what is wrong with customer service. I hope so, because they are mostly a great place. read more

NEVER AGAIN. Don't waste your time or money. This place is HORRID. Been there a couple of times, hoping maybe I just caught them on an "off" day. They f'd up my eyebrows in an unfixable way (who the fuck waxes a forehead??!!), then came at me with tweezers for the brow line. Are you fu king kidding!?!. The whole F'ing point of waxing is to NOT tweeze, asshole. They topped off that extravaganza with baby oil all over my face. JOHNSON'S FUCKING BABY OIL. I won't even mention the lopsided shitty polish change or the razor sharp fingernails i now possess, complete with red polish all over my fingers, but the girl who reviewed just before me hit it on the head. Somebody should call the Board of Health on these assholes, and a 6 year old could do a better job with a bottle of nail polish and a set of clean tools. read more

I went to have a gel manicure which i was able to peal off 2 days later. I also tanned there once and it was horrible! They have a stand up booth in the back that is filthy and they leave the back door open so there are things flying around in the booth as you are trying to tan. The manicurist are not personable at all and fly through the service. I will never go back here especially with a new salon Calming Lotus that is so much nicer and cleaner across the street. And for those who fall for the credit card machine being out of order..that is a lie, they don't want you to pay by card they want the cash. read more

I was introduced to lucky nails 7 years ago and they have always done a fantastic job they know me by name and I don't even go often maybe once in a blue moon to get them done but I only go here. Nails are clean and nice the spa pedi is the best and they really spend the time massaging too I've introduced many other friends here and they all love it. Considering the language used when writing them, I can only guess the level of intelligence and wouldn't take them very seriously, probably not someone I would tend to listen to. My two sisters, daughter, mother and aunts have been going here since they opened. My friend will only get her eyebrows done here and loves them. They have always done a great job, they are always friendly, they are always professional and the place is clean. I have personally never had any issues with this place. Staff is very friendly especially the owner. I've definitely never seen it dirty or disgusting, but I'll take a look at the tools next time. They do a fantastic job on my nails every time I go in and never disappoint, but getting my nails done is the only thing I go there for so I have no idea about the waxing and massages. Hell I didn't even know they did massages. The only thing that bugs me is the lack of ventilation, but they keep the door open in the summer which is good because the weathers getting nicer :) read more

I've been here twice. Never again!!! The place is DISGUSTING. They don't clean their tools which is my biggest problem with this place. I watched them both times i've been here take out used tools, and put them back in their baskets after they used them on me! They don't sterilize or drop them in solution like the other places i've been!! It is so disgusting. Don't bother asking the owner for a color because she will make a snotty face and insult your choice as if the reason she doesn't have it is cause it looks like Sh*t but it's really because they have a terrible selection. The ventilation is non-existent, and don't hope for a massage or any attention if you are only getting one service like a mani or pedi because whoever is working on you will nag you the entire time about why you don't want a mani or pedi also. This place is just so bad. Don't waste your time of money. I live in Whitman but drive to Holbrook to go to MT Nails or Randolph to go to La Novita salon.
