I visited Pro Nails just before the holidays with my daughter and made an appointment. We only had to wait approximately 10 minutes. The workers are very nice and take the time to give you a complete manicure along with a little hand massage at the end! Don't get a Dip! Had a pink and white dip that shattered like glass the next day. Made a trip back to get several nails re-done but instead they just tried to fix what was already on there and that didn't work. I left there at 6 PM and by the next morning it had peeled and cracked. I returned to get my nails fixed again and someone else did the repair but they used the same poor quality product which cracked again. They also filed too far in on my nail so that the nails ripped off from the sides below the quick. I finally managed to find the time Less than a week later to go back. I requested a full do-over with a different product because what they used for the pink and white dip was not real dip powder. I have been getting dip nails for the last four years elsewhere, and NEVER had anything like this happen. I've tried every kind of product from acrylic to gel and gel powder for the last 20 years and I know I can count on dip powder to last 3 weeks and be hard as nails when it's done right. I work full-time and it's a major inconvenience for me to be traveling back-and-forth unnecessarily to get my nails repaired several times. They gave me a very hard time about a do-over. They wanted me to pay full price. After asking them to explain to the owner on the phone and a lot of haggling back-and-forth we finally settled on 50% off. That was still $25. I tipped the tech despite my unpleasant experience because she had not done my nails before. It was not her fault. I gave her the benefit of the doubt that my nails would be OK this time. However, she filed my nails too narrow on the sides and a couple nails broke off below the quick and the dip shells came right off completely. The atmosphere is negative, and they hate to run the AC. I was there in early May and the place was so hot that customers were sweating. Nobody greets you or wants to speak English to you either. read more

Aaaacccckkk! Now that I have been spoiled by Mini Lux, I realize how nasty this place is. I took my step daughter here for a mani-pedi girl time, and I immediately regretted it. It was a hot day, and they had the doors open, so flies were buzzing around everywhere. We started with our pedi's and I remembered how uncomfortable the "massage" chairs were. At rest they feel like they are filled with rocks. They pulled out the microplane for my feet that clearly had not been sanitized. I did not enjoy myself at all, and will not be back. read more

I've had a couple mani/pedis here, and it's OK. Lots of colors, hot stone massage, big space, non-chatty staff with the customers. It has high ceilings, lots of natural light, and it's not too fume-y. If you even think about going on a nice weekend day, go early in the morning. Later in the day, even if you make an appointment, you'll be kept waiting. The last time I was in here--granted, my nails are a mess--but my cuticles were cut down enough that I bled, several times. I went late in the day, and most of the good colors had yet to be put away since they were so busy. The last straw for me was the yummy noodle thing that someone heated up and was eating in the break room smelled so, so good and filled the entire salon. read more

He reeked like cigarettes which was disgusting to smell being so close during the manicure. The gel stayed on my nails less than a week. Many of the poor reviews seem like they were made by people impossible to please. The idea of not leaving a tip after having a service performed is just disgusting. I have been to many nail places both in the US and abroad and think this place is great! They do dip powder and the pedicures are phenomenal. I get a manicure every 2 weeks and a pedi every 4, I was surprised at how much effort the woman put into my pedicure! She really took the time to make it perfect. They could use more colors for dip but so can most places in the area, the girls even took the time to help me match a dip color to the polish I wanted on my toes! They perform an excellent service and I will be making this my new place! read more

They are always so friendly! I especially love it here because they are reeeeeally good at getting the cracked and dry skin off my feet leaving them feeling so smooth. So many other places just don't, so this is the only place I'll get a pedicure. Plus one time I was pregnant and felt wicked dizzy during a manicure and they were so sweet and kept letting me lay down on the couch! She eventually brought the stuff over to the couch and did my nails as I laid down. I was mortified haha but she was just the sweetest and understood! I came here on Saturday with my mother. The owner said he knew how to do dip polish nails. The photo explains how horrible the service was. He did not listen at all to what I had asked to be done and he put the dip polish over my cuticles which caused them to bleed. After this I had to go to another salon so that my nails could be corrected. The owner was extremely impatient and did not know what he was doing. Love this place! I've had pedis/manis/acrylics/eyebrows done here and I've never had a complaint! I highly recommend Andy or his brother Kevin for acrylics, they do a great job! Sandy is great at pedi/mani's! The location is clean and the prices are great! They give a 10% discount to students as well. I would never recommend going here for an eyebrow wax. I was completely rushed and the girl waxed off half of one of my eyebrows. I've never had this happen before. This is my first yelp review. I felt like it was necessary to share my experience. My daughter and I went to have gel manicures on Saturday. We have been to this salon before and have had good experiences. However this time the man who sits in the first chair did my daughter's nails. She has had several gel manicures and knows the process. When we were done and had left the salon, she showed me her nails. She had polish all over her skin and the polish itself was bubbling, also several fingers were bleeding. She told me he used the motorized file (which they use for acrylic nails) on her skin to remove the excess polish, and it had injured the skin on her fingers. We went back in and he argued with her in front of everyone in the salon. My daughter remained very calm as he yelled and told her it was her fault. She asked if he would take the polish off and he got very heated and said no its your fault. He finally gave us our money back and we left. I called the next day to speak to the manager about how rude he was and he hung upon me. In the future we will take our business to a salon that treats others with respect. read more

I do not like how the place feels like an assembly line - but they do the best job around when it comes to pedicures. No one sloughs feet like they do - when I leave my feet feel brand new. I go barefoot 24/7 so my feet are rough! The hot stones and massage are well done for sure. I am not sure how they sterilize - I wish it were more obvious, but have not really had a problem with worrying about sanitizing. They need more OPI gel colors - just as the other places I have tried do. I do not understand why more places do not invest in tons of OPI gel colors - that is what we want! I trust this brand. I really just wish the places around MA were more welcoming. When you get a mani/pedi in the midwest they make you feel special, not like a number. I guess I will keep going back for pedicures because no one does a better job for the price. There is a place in Derby Street I have heard great things about -but it is quite pricey. I see they have callous removal as an extra fee on their menu - not sure what that service entails - but Pro Nails includes this in their regular pedicures - in my opinion. read more

Awful!! Do not go to this place! My nails were chipped not even 24 hours after I left, even though I paid $3 extra so it would stay on longer. Went back to complain and the owner was rude and told me the service was not guaranteed, only gel nails.. Why go to a place that does not back their service if there are so many other good places around? Waste of my time and money for certain! I went in for a pedicure today. The woman who did it cut my toe so badly that it was bleeding and throbbing the during entire time. I have had manicures when they have accidentally nicked the side of my nail which is unfortunate but okay. This time was completely different, the cut on my toe was so deep that it would not stop bleeding for the duration of the pedicure. The pedicurist saw it was bleeding and didn't acknowledge it until I told her. Then she kept telling me to keep it in the foot bath, even though it stung. It was so bad that the other two pedicurists took a look at my toe. When I went to pay they asked for the full amount. When I asked for a discount for being cut they said they would take $5 off. I would have expected them to be at least apologetic and perhaps not charged me. I would never go back nor would I recommend anyone to go there. Bad business!! read more

Went in for a pedicure and left disappointed. The nail tech rushed through the appointment even though the shop wasn't really busy. When I brought it to another tech's attention that my feet were rough around the nails and heels, I was told if they smoothed it any more it'd draw blood. Baloney! I wish I'd argued it further but was in a hurry and paid and left. I fixed it myself when I got home. Very disappointed and even if I lived in MA I'd not return to Pro Nails. read more

The woman who did my pedicure was clearly rushed, cleared not happy to be working on my feet, and my feet are RAW after she very aggresively used the cheese grater-like instrument on my heels. Came here for a pedicure. I had a woman who barely said hello to me. She stabbed me in the toenail with a tool and didn't apologize. She was extremely rough with my feet and seemed like she didn't know how to use the cuticle clippers, holding them like she never had in her life. My feet are also extremely ticklish, and when I moved my foot when she was scrubbing the bottom of it, she had a disgusted look on her face. She seemed very high-and-mighty all around. In my opinion, everything she did was half-a**ed, not much effort at all. The only thing she was consistent on was being too rough with whatever tool was in her hand, and the massage was pointless. She just sat there and rubbed my legs lightly and kept putting lotion on them. She kept pausing what she was doing throughout and talked to her coworkers in their language before continuing the awful pedicure. She also made me wait while she sat there and tried to wipe something that spilt on her pants. This went on for a good 5 minutes before she painted. Then she painted my nails so quickly, she didn't even paint the entire nail. It literally took her 2 minutes to do 3 coats of paint. She wasn't going to give me the plastic things to put in between my toes, at first she just gave me a tiny piece of tissue in between one toe on BOTH feet then asked me to separate my toes and hold them like that, so they wouldn't smudge. Then I told her if she doesn't give me more tissue they WILL smudge. She then gave me the toe separators after I said something. In general she seemed like she didn't want to be there. the only reason i give the salon 4 stars is because i think the employees could be a little more friendly. i am a hairdresser and always greet my clients with a smile and tell them my name. here they kinda just ask what you want and dont really seem all that happy for your business. HOWEVER, i can look past this cuz man do they do an amazing job on my nails. im sort of new to the nail game but as i said im a hairdresser and my natural nails are usually kept really short due to their staining from color( i hate that my nails always look dirty and my nail polish is always chipping off, with acrylics this doesnt happen) my first set was done somewhere else but when i needed a new set put on the other salon i was going to told me they didnt have anyone on that did then that day. so i went up the street to pro nails and gave it a shot. i saw a man, i would tell you his name but i dont know it. he didnt introduce himself. i explained to him how i wanted my nails pointy.(the last salon i had to show pictures and they still didnt make them the way i wanted, i had to file them myself to be pointier) He nailed it first time! they were beautiful. the best part is theyr not those thick fake looking acrylics theyre beautiful. people always ask if theyre my real nails. im more than happy to send my clients here and i have since gone back and got a fill. with a woman who works there. she did a great job too. read more
