I will never be coming back to this nail salon. The woman I was working with was so disrespectful towards me. Not only were there bubbles and dents left in my acrylics, shes was rude and basically wanted to rush me out the door, and because I took maybe 5 minutes to find what color I wanted she said I was "hard" to deal with, while slamming her foot into the counter beneath her. I was also charged 10$ last minute because I wanted matte instead of shine. I left the nail salon basically In tears. i would not recommend this place to anyone. read more

I think I finally found my favorite nail salon on the South Shore! I have frequented 90% of the nail salons in this area for mani/Pedi's, Shellac Polish and brow waxing. I had some success, but all in all lackluster experiences and most were grossly overpriced for the quality of service received. Right after the new year, I came to this newly opened salon for a much needed mani and pedi. Located in a strip mall right off of exit 10 in Kingston, the location is convenient and easy to get to. The inside came out beautiful, it is very spacious with about 8 pedicure stations and a large horseshoe shaped bar with hightop stools and probably 8 manicure stations as well. Cindy took amazing care of me. It was a long, and truly relaxing experience. They also give you a neck/back massage with a manicure..who doesn't love that? They had just opened a month prior, so I got 15% off my services ($34 for mani/pedi) and they also gave me a free full sized bottle of lotion just for checking them out! I went back a second time to try the Shellac Gel polish and for some brow waxing. Helen (I assume the owner), took amazing care of my brows and was so sweet & hospitable. Cindy did my nails again, they came out just the way I wanted! This place is new, and trust me if you give Helen's a chance, you will thank me! I just moved into the area and went here for the first time today. They had a great color selection however I will not be going back. I got the deluxe pedicure and gel manicure and the paint job on both was not great. My feet are more rough than when I walked in the door because he just grazed my heels with the metal exfoliating tool. This is what my heels looked like immediately after. I had one man do my pedicure and another do my manicure so maybe the other technicians are better, I only have been here this one time. read more

I used to go here all the time but the last time I did I was so disappointed. When doing my cuticles she picked the skin around my nail, which I told her was hurting, and when my nails were finished I had cuts around at least 3 nails. I asked not to file them down so much and she filed them way too short and also cut one of my finger tips with the emory board. I got gel polish and when my nails were finished, the polish was far enough up my nail where it looked like I had acrylics that needed to be filled. They used to do such a great job on my nails but sadly after that last time I don't think I'll be coming back. read more

This place was great. Clean, sanitary, and they do great work. I got a manicure which included a shoulder massage while my hands were wrapped in heating pads. Bliss. I also got some areas of my face waxed and Helen did a wonderful job. I will definitely be back! My nails came out great and lasted an entire week before I even got tip wear. Even then, the first to show wear was the pointer finger on my right hand, which isn't surprising. Loved it! read more

I love it there!!! Been coming to Helen's since it opened here a couple years ago. Helen usually does my mani and pedi, she is amazing and very detail oriented, but I've also gone to other technicians who are fairly great too. The salon is very clean and all the tools used are sanitized. They now offer eyelash extensions services and I am so happy they did! Michelle is great. I love my lashes. This is my second review. I came in to get gel nails. The lady doing my nails did a pretty good job, it was just kind of awkward because she barely spoke English and she seemed very cold, and like she was on a rush. She also gave me a back massage that lasted about 30 seconds. If she had asked, I would've declined, which made it even more awkward. I can't give them a bad rating because all in all, my nails look good. I think it's just a culture disparity. I still like going there. I would still recommend this place. read more

I was happy that I could be seen because I had somewhere to be later on in the afternoon. But now wish I would have waited, I have natural gel nails the taking off of the polish and shaping has left my nails in pain. They were filed down to almost paper thin which is the opposite of how they were going in. My pinky nail was red and cracked after the filing. I am not sure if the woman who took off my old polish should be doing nails. But I won't be going back at all , and that's tooo bad it seems like a nice place. But my nails actually hurt. read more

We arrived on time picked out our colors and sated there for 25 minute before being called to go to pedi chairs where we were sat next to each other someone started the water for both of us and then started my daughters pedicure I sat there for another 25 minutes now in cold water so I got up and went to the counter and told the girl I was all set not waiting anymore and I just want to pay for my daughters pedicure the owner looked at me and just turned around no apology nothing and to boot I paid $30 for my daughters pedicure that was horrible her nails were crooked and there was polish all over her feet Will never go there again read more

I loved the whole vibe of this place, and the staff was nice. Probably the quickest manicure I've had, (in a good way.) So overall, I wish I could give this place a higher rating, but I'm basing this on my nails. First of all, they're chunky. I got an acrylic set with white gel, and the top of the nail is so clumpy and uneven, completely unlike the pictures. Secondly, they look so big. Each nail raises so high off of my natural nail, they look completely fake compared to the realistic look I wanted. Also, they're so wide and twice the width of my real nail. They look so unprofessional, and I'm soaking them off. I'm really disappointed because this trip was a present to me for getting good grades. This salon has all the tools and supplies to provide a good nail service, but they just don't have good nail technicians. read more

This place is awesome. The space is brand new and extremely clean (a major concern of mine at nail salons). The manicure bar has tons of seats and there has to be at least 10-12 massage chairs for pedicures. The older woman who did my nails didn't do the best job, which is where they lost a star. I had to have one of the younger guys fix them. That said, the services otherwise were great. Hot towels/stones and back/neck massage are included when you get a mani/pedi. I usually go to a different nail spa but I needed my nails done close by and the previous reviews/ verbal recommendation didn't let me done. This place is really good. I got a pedicure and a gel manicure, both done by two different men in the shop. They really took there time to make sure it looked right (I got a difficult color, it took three coats to get the color right). Even though I stayed over closing time they didn't try and push me out and I didn't feel rushed at all. It was clean, they were gental, and my nails came out good. Do Not Go Here! My friend and I have gone to this nail salon several times over the past year because it was conveniently located close to my house. However, every time we went our experience was just OK. I had a couple of nail technicians that were pretty good but both left, never to return. There is a high level of turnover here...maybe my first red flag. Our last experience put the nail in the coffin. My friend and I both got regular nail polish on our toes and finger nails. After my manicure, my finger nails looked terrible. The nail technician kept taking her fingernail and sliding it down the edge of my nail to remove excess polish. But she just made large indents in the polish down the side of my nails. Again, they looked horrible. During my pedicure the technician used an old, scraggly nail brush that she scratched all over my feet. Not only did it hurt and look disgusting but after she just threw it right in the water to soak...with my feet. GROSS! And finally, my friend and I both removed our toenail polish (ourselves) and we both have a bunch of white spots on our nails where the polish was. That being said, I highly don't recommend this place. I've given it several tries but I'm officially convinced it is not sanitary and I won't be going back! read more

What a pleasant experience! I'm visiting from Los Angeles and was in need of some last minute beauty treatments. I found Helen's on Yelp and loved that it's an all in one stop. Thi was very attentive to my needs and gave me my first ever facial. my skin looks and feels incredible now! I got a back massage as well and she fixed my gel manicure. Even though the spa closed at 7pm all the employees and Helen herself stayed while Thi perfected my manicure meticulously until past 7:30pm. I did not feel rushed at all. Don't bother making an appointment. They do not honor it. Don't say "yes" when they ask you for a massage, they estentially just punch you in the back. I'm noy lying closed fist hitting. I asked for a manicure and a pedicure, regular polish. Everything was fine until I was drying my nails. After about 20 minutes of sitting under the dryer I went to check if my nails were dry and accidentally bumped my pointer finger, ruining the polish (what?! 20 minutes under a dryer and still wet!?). When I asked the tech to touch up for me, she couldn't find the polish that we used. After trying 4 different polishes, she finally told me that she found the right one and to sit under the dryer and wait for her to do the 2nd coat. I advised her that it was not the right color - this one had sparkle and my original did not. She told me that I was incorrect and that I needed to let her do a 2nd coat. Well I was correct, the 2nd polish was completely different but there was nothing that they could or would do to correct the issue. In fact, I was told that this wouldn't have happened if I had paid for Gel! I was there for 2 hours for a simple mani/pedi and came out with uneven polish, bubbles under the polish on my thumbs and 1 finger a different color than the rest. read more
