I bought my daughter a gift card for her birthday here as she new to area and got recommendations saying they were good. She has always had soft no split ends hair using no conditioner. She got highlights and her hair is burnt, broken, tangled and needs to be conditioned. They applied bleach (normal), put her under dryer for 15 minutes (didn't come when buzzer went off), never checked progression during 15 minutes. I get highlights 1-2 times a year NEVER NEVER put under dryer & they checked progress after 5-10 minutes. My hair never burnt or broken. My hair much darker than daughters. Daughter called, texted, facebook msg numerous times during week NO response. Following week I msg NO response. I call get voicemail & someone does call back saying msg jumbled. In conversation told it was fine when left, was going to talk to her when she came in with son on Saturday. She cancelled that appt & they still didn't call. It turned out talking to person who did her hair. I asked for owner. She basically called me a liar -- hair fine when left, maybe her medication caused (assuming daughter on some type of medicine), she picked this stylist. She also tells me stylist new just out of school, putting under dryer is how hairdressers do it here (I'm from North Shore & never at any salon in 10+ years put under dryer for highlight & they also used bleach) if so new shouldn't have someone been supervising then??? I finally said getting nowhere I'm just going to review on Yelp (never did before) and so to avoid bad review offered refund. Guess what 10+ days and NO REFUND Surprise Surprise. read more
