I've been to Lucky Spa twice now and both times have been happy with their services. Pedicure, dipping powder manicure and eyebrow waxing; and no issues at all. Staff is friendly and accommodating. I came in last minute to get a pedicure and they were booked. I understand that, I was hoping I would get lucky. The way I was treated about the walk in service was kinda cold and not so inviting. I just called today to make an appointment and they asked if I could make a 5pm appointment today. I stated no, I .. and was interrupted to ask me when I could get there. When I attempted to verbally figure that time frame out, the person kept saying "how long" and interrupting me. I would have gladly taken an appointment on another day but since they have shown me my business is not important unless it is convenient to them, not sure I want to come back. I will just go to my normal spot and maybe one of their customers that are use to being treated like that will buy my gift certificate. read more

I've gotten pedicures here several times and always was happy. Good massage chairs, good color selection, and good service - but for me pretty much a nail salon is a nail salon. But in the age of covid, I won't go anywhere else!! They're taking it very seriously and are doing everything in accord with highest safety standards in mind, starting with not even letting you inside before hand sanitizing, mask check, temperature check, and obtaining contact info for tracing purposes. And Christi does the best foot and lower leg massage (I can't even imagine the spa pedicure or other deluxe services)! I booked a pedicure and nex gen for my nails and they told me after they did my nails that they didn't have time to do my pedicure because another appt showed up. What??? This is, hands down, the worst nail salon I've ever been to. I've gone there like 2 or 3 times already but each time gets worst. I had enough when one lady I've never seen before thought she was skilled enough to do my nails and even though I asked her for gel nails like 3 times, she did dip and she didn't even do them right. This nails salon is horrible . Not welcoming at all. I was told to wait 15 mine for a pedicure which i didn't complain about because i was a walk in, after wards i was serviced by a lady who didn't speak any English AT ALL. I usually try to work with them when they can't speak English and try to slowly explain which i did and we moved on with the service. I asked for gel polish and very simple neutral color and the lady that was servicing me and jimmy wouldn't even help me find that . They barely had any gel colors at all and they said it was because they are only use to doing nexgen . How are you a local nail salon and don't care to service or help your costumers because you yourself don't know how or not interested in doing a service you're licensed with ? I absolutely love this salon. New management is great and I get in and out so quickly. They took care of our large wedding party of 50 for mani/pedi and surprised the bride with champagne for the guests. It was next to the Walmart and convenient to walk to. This is the worst fucking nail salon I've ever gone through in my life I got my nails done on May 13 it is now May 20 not even two days later my nails were already coming off now it's a week later and all of them off so I called the nail salon and say hey is there something I can pay because all the nails came off because it's only been a week and the manager had an attitude with me saying it's impossible for them to come off in a week and a whole bunch other bullshit so she was like you pay $15 and I'll put them all back on so I was like OK and then she then she switched it up and said I'm not giving you a priceOver the phone and you need to come in and get a price I was like I'm not about to come in and you try to charge me $35 for nails that came off in a week this is the worst fucking place ever and I would not recommend it to a fucking dog read more

My nails were wrapped by someone else and I was told to sit in my tech's chair since she was finished with that customer. 20 minutes later (5:40 and my appointment was at 5) I'm still waiting. I have been using this nail salon since August when I moved here. The owner is very personable and the nail techs all do a great job. My favorite nail tech left the shop, which made me sad, but the new tech I am working with is also very personable and does a great job. Prices seem to vary but other than that I am a fan. I have been coming here for years. When I moved here in 2008 it was brand new. Last year underwent a cosmetic renovation, but pedi chairs need updated. The nail techs have rotated around, as per usual, but I have always received great service. Understanding oriental culture will have a lot to do with some of the reviews. The new owner is a dominant personality but genuinely tries to make her clients feel welcome. It gets really busy on weekends, but these folks always have as smile . My 14 year old cousin wanted to get a full set of nails. She called for an appt at 2:00 for 5:00. We showed up at 4:55, all the chairs were filled. Ok figured we would wait a few minutes no big deal........45 minutes later at 5:45 she finally got sat for her 5:00 appt. ridiculous. If she wasn't here vacationing and had her heart set on stiletto nails I would have left but I didn't want to disappoint her. Never again will I go there. Clearly those people that were all sat just got sat as we waited 45 minutes for someone to finish. Went with my daughter for her to get a pedi & full acrylic set. She asked "Jimmy" for medium length, coffin shaped nails.. He tried to pass off short nails for "medium", and the shape he did looked more like a coffin that was dug up from some lopsided grave.. we paid for the services, and usually if the nails are a little off we'll suck it up, but these nails were a hot mess. I mean no disrespect, but it was not worth the $ we paid for, so we complained. Things quickly got uglier than those nails they swore were coffin shaped by the manager/ owner Rachel, who not only made the nails worse when she tried to fix them, but she also began to raise her voice making a scene about how this generation & Americans want everything free (mind you, we already paid her) because we wanted our money back once we saw they were a loss. She then began to angrily & mercilessly cut off my daughter's nails knowing she just had acrylic done, and filing till she cut my daughter's finger.. to top it off, she has the audacity to blame my daughter getting cut on her moving! I'm standing there they whole time saying, of course she moved, you cut her! They were very sneaky in trying to brush the nail disaster off, and refused to give manager &/or owner info to complain. Will NOT return to this establishment...ever! I walked in the door on a busy Saturday afternoon. I waited a good 2 minutes to get attention. Another woman, an older Caucasian lady, walks in behind me and is immediately acknowledged and asked what service does she want. The whole time- I'm looking around (probably with a crazy look on my face) wondering if I'm invisible. I waved my hand and said "um hello...I was here first". Yes- I'm hinting it was racial. Then the owner or whoever she was said..." Oh I'm so sorry! Yes what do you want?" That was just insulting and the 2 people in the waiting area noticed it. That was pretty blatant. Seeing how I had no interest is driving around to find another salon, I went ahead with my service. The pedicure was NOT even all that. How disappointing! THE WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE I HAVE EVER EXPERIENCED!!! This was my 3rd time going to this nail salon thinking "I can trust them to provide decent service" I asked for a full set and a pedicure. The pedicure went well the lady was very kind. However, when it came down to my full set service, the man Jimmy, did not do anything I had asked for. He began by almost cutting my nails way too short without even asking me how long I wanted them. I kindly stated I wanted my nails medium length with coffin shape. When we finally agreed to my length and shape (I looked at all of my nails before he proceeded and they were fine) i then noticed by the time he applied the nail polish, all of my nails were completely misshaped and NOT coffin shape anymore. He had filed them to a complete mess!! So I asked kindly for him to please shape them as the coffin shape I had originally asked for. The manager or the owner RACHEL then stepped in and said that I'm wrong and the shape is suppose to look slanted. Obviously at this point I'm beginning to get a little frustrated. I googled a picture of what coffin shape is suppose to look like so she can understand that my shape was rounded and some were uneven and way too short! She made me wait 20 min before she could do anything (and that was because I asked for my money back since no one wanted to correct their mistakes) she stated "if you want your money back, I would have to cut off all of all the nails. so Rachel then sat me at her station (at this point they are all speaking their own language) and she began to file my nails in a rough manner. She showed me her attempt to "fix" my nails and it was even WORSE. Rachel then grabbed the clippers and grabbed my hand roughly and started chopping off ALL OF MY NAILS. She then filed them with the mechanical file over the polish leaving them blotchy. She told me I could go buy acetone at Walmart to take off the blotchy nail polish she filed off. As I turned to her customer she was previously helping , I showed them that this is what she's leaving me with. As soon as she noticed I was showing her client the mess she created, she grabbed my hand roughly again, and started to file the nail polish off completely. She started to yell at me at the top of her lungs claiming that I keep asking for more and that this generation in America is cheating for free things. I then asked her for the owners name and number, she refused to give me any information and this led to her CUTTING MY FINGER WITH THE MECHANICAL FILE. I started to bleed and she blamed me for that as well. I am a manager as well, and I would never let anything escalate to this. It was embarrassing and completely uncalled for. read more
