I went Saturday to get a manicure and pedicure. The place was clean and the employees very nice. Then I sat down for Le to do my pedicure which was very good and enjoyable. But Kim came over to start my manicure and things got bad. It was the most painful manicure I've ever gotten, which made the wonderful pedicure I was getting overridden by the pain from her ripping the acrylic nails off my fingers. By the time I saw my actual nails they were torn and some of the area around my nail bed cut and bleeding. After the pedicure she moved me to her station and began filing the new acrylic nails she had applied. I noticed one area around my middle finger of my right hand was bleeding. When I asked her about it she just patted my hand and said it would be ok. When I left the salon my fingers were red and aching. After returning home I looked more carefully and 6 of my fingers were scratched and throbbing. So, I write to them via Yelp about the experience and she has read it but no response. I had read in reviews that a pedicure done had similar issues. I will not nor do I recommend Lucky nails to anyone. Note* Le did call me and offer a 10% discount on my next manicure. Had an appointment for 10:30. Showed up at 10:20. The doors were locked and lights off. At 10:25 I called and was told they would be there in 10 minutes (another woman with a 10:30 appt was also waiting). Why book a 10:30 appointment w me when I made it an hour earlier if you were not going to be open for business? I got a simple manicure. Normal polish. It is the most sloppy and messy manicure I've ever paid for. My expectations were not high, but I was gobsmacked by how terrible the results were. I'll promptly be removing the polish because every time I look at my hands my blood boils. It's looks worse than if I did it myself. If I hadn't chosen a very light polish color, I would have had the nail tech remove before leaving the shop. They get 2 stars because of the low pricing ($24). First and the last time I'll use their services. Can't speak for the quality of expertise of the other two technicians. Buyer beware. read more

I brought my daughter here today for a pedicure. The nail tech smeared the white polish all over the big toe with the nail lamp. After pedicure was finished she went back to clean up the dried polish by using the cuticle trimmer but proceeded to remove more and more skin off my daughter's toe to the point of making it bleed. She has now caused an area for infection and I will need to keep a close eye on it to ensure no further infection happens. I rarely leave reviews, but wanted to provide information others may find helpful. If you want the benefits of powder dip this salon doesn't offer an actual powder dip application. They refuse to use powder dip top coat. Instead they cover the powder dip with clear gel polish. They do provide a very good pedicure. read more

Everything was going well until the lady who painted my nails started to work on me. I asked for a special on my pedicure which was pretty good, the only issue I have is the actual quality of the nails. She started painting my nails and accidentally set the cure machine on my nail which then scraped off polish. She didn't fix it and started on the French tips before I could even say anything. I asked her multiple times to make the white thinner, as she had painted half of my big toes white. She started to trim my toe nails when I did not want them cut down anymore which I did try to tell her to stop 3 separate times. She proceeded to somewhat argue with me. Telling me she couldn't fix the white on the French tip. That I should have told her before she put the top coat on, but never once asked me if I liked how they looked through out painting my nails. I didn't look up from my phone and notice because it's a basic French tip, I didn't think I'd have to pay too much attention to get a decent end result. She proceeded to say she would have to re-do them so i said re-do them and she told me no. Then asked if I still wanted to get my finger nails done, I told her no and that quite frankly I wanted to just pay and leave. Which she then said she would finally re-do them. She used a DREMEL to take off the gel polish and re-do them. They are still thick and uneven with chips and lifting in the polish. I paid 58$ just to have to wait until my nails re-grow out and get them done again at a better salon. I won't be going back and would not suggest you spend your money here. this place has the worst service when I walked in the owner was charming as she was explaining things to me she started to smack me as if we were friends, not only that, but I had told her that I wanted my nails square and long, not accommodate at the end had me sitting there for almost an hour because she put six layers of gel nail polish on my nails to make them thicker and they look horrible. They are bumpy. They're uneven, I had to go the next day and get them done somewhere else. For my pedicure I'm assuming he was her husband cut my skin up so bad my toes were burning. They just look bad and I can't get them done anywhere else until they heal properly and grow straight since he cut them round. read more

I walked in to the shop with nails done by Fantastic Nails (nail salon next to Goodwill in Centralia) that were so janky I almost called in to work I was so embarrassed to rock them. In the picture I had the gel white nails with a silver ring finger. The colors were fine but what I originally wanted was a French ombre. I left with a set that was to thick and just plain gross. I explained all of this to Tami (I think the owner) and told her exactly what I wanted which was thinner, narrower, new gel polish. She suggested to do a fill and gel polish. I felt it appropriate so I waited while both tech finished with their clients. It was about 15ish mins before they got to me. It made me feel better because they weren't rushing through their clients. When Tami finally got to me and assessed the situation she realized my woes. The end result was a very very filed down version, reshaped coffin, gel polished set which I was very thrilled with. Think the only thing that could've been better was cuticle oil. Would not recommend if you're able to get in elsewhere. Was a walk in and was told to come back at a later time- no problem! Was happy that they were able to fit me in! I could tell as soon as the mail tech started putting the acrylic on that it was not going to be great. I came in for a full set with almond shaping. The acrylic was not smoothed out at all, I brushed it off when she was laying it with the brush thinking that she would file it down to be smoother later but it was never smoothed. There was acrylic residue left all over my fingers. The sides are not filed down to be smooth so I will have to do that later myself I guess. I did not speak up about my dissatisfaction during the appointment because a- I could tell she was already feeling rushed as there was another client after me waiting and b- me speaking up should not determine if you do professional work or not. Overall my service was $43. I will not be back or recommend others. read more

I wasn't the easiest customer, I will admit, but they did an amazing job! I came in with a picture of what I wanted and they really talked with me to make sure we were both on the same page. VERY clean salon, and very calming overall. She spent about an hour shaping my nails and it shows, none of my nails are crooked or anything- she took lots of care into doing my full set! Not only that, they were all friendly, and my full set was about $60- very reasonable for what I wanted, and the time put in. Overall my full set took 1.5 hours so definitely make time in your schedule if you come, it's totally worth it! I am in love with my nails and have officially found my place! read more

We began coming here about 2.5 years ago. My daughters get acrylics and I get a manicure. We get pedicures and one of them gets gel nail polish French tip on her toes since she's a dancer. We've always enjoyed our time there and felt welcomed, and got out in a timely manner. Never pressured and were able to get what we want. This past week I went in by myself for just a pedicure- the deluxe. I love the paraffin wax and get regular polish as it never chips on me. I made an appointment and they even got me in a few minutes early. This time I felt as if they kept pushing the more expensive pedicures and there just isn't anything there I wanted. Nor do I like the time it takes to get the gel polish off. My nails were definitely not cut as short as usual, I usually do not have the owner either as she's doing acrylics. There was not the attention to detail, nor the relaxing massage. I left feeling a bit disappointed and not impressed . With the recent remodel the inside is updated and looks very clean. I didn't think the increase in price would add a decrease in service. read more

First off let's just say I went in to get a fill and for my sister to get a full set, I had my left pinky acrylic broken off already at that point and I had to get that main one removed, she decided to forcefully take off the acrylic which made some of my original nail come off as well. When she was getting ready to put on acrylics as she was prepping our nails, Nail lady decided to cut up me and my sisters cuticles, with a electric nail fileduring the process I had flinched about 5 times . She decided to then spray (what it seemed) pure alcohol on our hands which made them start burning. Had us both in tears so she knew for a fact she was hurting us. Lady was very rough with buffing block and grinding tools to smooth out the acrylic as well! That's not even it, My sister had surgery on her pinky a long time ago and her nail tech thought it's be okay to force her pinky to straighten out. Very rude and honestly disrespectful. When I got to my sticker I told her from the beginning that I wanted two stickers one for each ring finger, she then came up to me with attitude and said "you only said two not one! " I told her "my bad " and she said "yeah, you said two!" Last thing is She tried gluing on the sticker and then put it on crooked on my ring fingers paid $91 for both. I called 2 days in advance to make my appointment for me and my mom. I never do my nails because I have a 1 year old but decided to schedule an appointment for me to get a pedicure while my mom gets her manicure done. Then I would get my manicure while my mom sat with my daughter. When we got there they sat me immediately but made my mom wait 45 minutes to start her manicure. My pedicure took 1.5 hours and the guy made me bleed on 5 toes. My moms manicure took 2.5 hours. I couldn't get my nails done and she couldn't get her toes done because they were closing. The owner told me to come back the next day for 10% off. Luckily my sister had the day off to sit with my daughter. Again I had an appointment and I still had to wait 30 minutes. I told her i didn't want gel but she kept trying to sell me on it. She put to much too coat on and it was literally melting off because she had me sit under the UV light... even though it wasn't gel. She told me they looked terrible but would look better if I just paid the $20 extra for gel. I've never had this happen before. Visiting a friend and last minute decided I needed a new gel set of nails plus a pedi. When you are staying in Tenino, what to do (especialiy if you are used to multiple options). My friend gets a monthly basic pedi and recommended Lucky Nails. Looking at the Yelp reviews, I was impressed so I booked a mani-pedi for me and pedi for her. Um, yes!! Best decision ever!! Great attention to detail, insane amount of gel colors from which to select (and standard colors for my toes), and super friendly staff. In and out in the time I expected, and yes, they took the gels off while I was getting my pedi (that was my test... Lol). Very much recommend Lucky Nails!! Terrible experience, uneven nails you can see through. The lady didn't even use the goop to make your nails stronger. Then they said it would be $45 for two nails to have a design and made it seem like it was 2 nails for each hand. No, they tried to charge me $50+ for the 4 nails. So I went without the design. But I honestly feel discriminated against. Three smaller people, one being my sister left with perfect nails. I don't even know where to start this really. I was in the salon today at 11:30 for a acrylic removal & gel polish. I've never been to this salon before but i figured who could mess up a gel polish?! Needless to say I will never be going back. The removal process hurt so bad that I pulled my hands back in pain. Once the acrylic was off about 3 of 5 fingers on just one hand, she continued to file the top of my natural down another 3 times. They're so incredibly thin that it was painful to stick them back into the acetone. On my left hand they didn't even completely remove the acrylic on 2 of my nails. They then switched employees before starting on the actual manicure. I asked for just plain white gel. This lady was also super tough on my fingers, specifically with the buff block. She didn't even try to avoid my skin and it turned out red & raw. I asked her to just slightly taper my nails to shape them, even showing her the angle that I would like them at. She barely paid attention and said "ok ok ok" and proceeded to do what I asked her not to do. Again, my nails were so thin at this point that sticking them into the UV light following the top coat, they BURNED. She rushed through the application process and it's so sloppy that gel cured onto my skin on multiple nails, underneath my nails, and halfway up my hand (which she jabbed her nail at trying to just scratch it off my skin). While she did go around my cuticles to clean them up, they did nothing to clean up the excess on the sides/underside of my nails. There is literally gel connecting my skin & nails together. There's also decent spots on either side of my pinky nails that didn't even get the polish. When I looked at my ring finger where there was a mess up, the lady took cuticle clippers to it & clipped my skin. I can't even conclude how bad the whole experience was - & I paid $40 for this! The lady who did my nails was very rude and arguing with me about using nail clippers to clip off the callous on my toes. I wanted her to use a pumice smooth it and not cut them off with clippers. We paid for the $38 deluxe pedicures and my nail lady skipped the paraffin wax, and weakly massaged my feet. I'm extremely disappointed and will not be returning. Her two co workers were extremely nice. I feel bad for them because she was arguing with them in Vietnamese. I feel like I just wasted $80 here. The massage chair was busted too. I need to preface this review by saying I used to run spas so I am not only more aware of the health codes and laws than most people but I also know what to look for. This is the 2nd time I've been here, the first was for a gel mani and this time for a pedicure. During the mani they didnt use the dremel tool to remove my gel which is huge!! Every other place i've tried in the area does and it is soooo bad for youelr nails. This time I received the basic with the paraffin add on. The threw in hot stones as well. They have great customer service, or as good as is possible when most don't speak very much English. Their store is very clean, there are no dusty shelves, grimy bottles, etc. Their pedicure chairs seem fairly new as well. She was very pleasant when I asked her not to use the metal cheese grater (against the law btw) on my and used the scrubber on me to remove my nasty heel build up as they are supposed to. They asked twice if I wanted a mani (I didn't want to try the patience of my 10 week old so declined) but they weren't pushy with the add one as some can be. I would advice bringing your own nail file. Most salons reuse disposable nail files which is also against the law and gross so I bring my own. Overall they are the best I've been to in Lewis county and I've been to lost of them. read more
