Not too happy with my pixie razor cut from Amanda today. Mainly, because she didn't listen to me. She just had a style in her mind which was not the same one I had in mind. I don't like it when this happens. I will just wear my mediocre hair cut until it grows out an find a better place to go. Not saying it's a bad cut. I had wash, razor cut and out the door in 14 minutes. No pampering or fluff. read more

Amanda nails it EVERY time. I followed her from her last shop and they are lucky to have her! Hip n Humble is such a cutesy vibe with a welcoming staff. Its clean, inviting and great location in town. I will be recommending this spot! read more

I'm an old woman with unmanageable hair. Got a great cut. Amanda was excellent. I will go back again.

So I've been going to Amanda for almost a year now. The girl never disappoint. I came in 2 weeks before my daughter's wedding with the wrong color extensions afraid she wasn't gonna be able to match them but she did perfectlyit looked great. I loved it even after not being sure of the new color. Just my luck I got a bad batch of extensions and i was just not having any luck with them at all In my hair this time. So I called Amanda she got me right in without any hesitation promising me she would get me fixed up. Me thinking I was gonna have to go through another foil to get my hair to match the extension. I did not she got me fixed up so good my hair looks so beautifu. Amanda I'm so thankful for your talent and expertise. You are the greatest by far. I always leave very satisfied with what you have done. read more

I would not recommend booking with Hope. I have never had such a poor experience in a salon. I asked for a layered haircut with blonde highlights/balayage. I had not had my hair cut in years or colored in multiple years, so I had virgin hair. After three and a half hours in the chair, I was exhausted and she had stated that the color was brassier than she would have liked (especially in the front). I returned the next day in attempts to fix it, left the salon the second day and the color was indeed better - but whatever she had done washed out after I took a shower. I respectfully asked for my money back for ONLY the color as I was happy with the hair cut. She responded unprofessionally and offensively. I also believe that she may not have an active license - as the owner would not share her license number and the customer service representative from the department of revenue was not able to locate her business license. I was able to get my hair fixed in 1 hour and 30 minutes in Olympia at a well known salon, and my stylist was very confused as to what had happened previously. I urge you to keep looking if you are thinking of booking a hair appointment here. read more

The vibe of the place was great and the people there are sweet but do not go here for haircuts. I was reassured my hair would look like the pictures (some of which were myself in the past) and when the gal doing it was done, it was not only two inches too short, but she argued with me when I told her I wasn't happy with it. And it cost me $50 plus tip. I paid practical $60 dollars to look like a grandma with a mullet. Thanks. read more

I had my haircut by Lucy today & she was so friendly, listened to what I wanted and also gave me tips on how to better care for my hair. Definitely will book with her again! read more

I went into Hip N Humble for a trim and spiral perm. I left with multiple patches of hair burned off to the scalp and not a word was said to me about it. I didn't find out until I was showering later that week and felt the nubs of hair growing out in no less than 8 separate places where the hair had been chemically burned away. Horrible! I will never step foot in there again. read more

Got hair done by Kennedi! havent done my hair in forever, but wanted something new, and the highlights she did were amazing! Love them, and definitely recommend! read more

I have a hard time trusting salons with my hair, so when I found this place and decided to make an appointment I was beyond nervous. That was all put behind me as soon as I started talking to Lisa. I can honestly say this was the best experience I've ever had at a salon. She took my hair from brassy blonde-ish ends to platinum in just a few hours with little to no damage at all; all the while creating a pleasant environment. No one here is going to ignore your wishes, but they also won't do something if they aren't sure the results will be what you wanted. Everything is explained in detail, and any questions are met with solid knowledge and a great attitude. Honest, skilled, and personable people, as well as a super clean and cute environment. Very fair pricing as well. If you want someone who actually cares about their customers, this is the place. Lisa is amazing and I don't plan on going anywhere else! 10/10 would totally recommend this salon. Before and after pic attached. read more

Had a haircut with Brisleyni today. This is definitely the best hair cut I've had in at least 2 years. She did exactly as I asked, was on time, and professional! A+. Super happy! Thank you! read more

Lori is a whizz with color. She won't sugar coat your expectations when making color corrections. (From previous color mishaps at another place of business) She is down to earth and a pleasant conversation every time I come in. I recently moved to Centralia and was hesitant to try a new place. I absolutely recommend this place. read more

I was a last minute call on a whim, feeling ready for a change and not happy with the pricier salon I used to go to regularly - no personal attention. I'm so glad I called! Jocelyn cut my hair and she was fabulous - talked it through with me beforehand so we could be clear on length & style & what my normal routine is, plus she explained everything going on as she cut. My very long wavy/curly/frizzy hair was looking kinda drab and too sister-wifey plain before, but now has so much more shape and excellent layers (and is zero work). I have received so many compliments! Great value, highly recommend. read more

I had great experience with Lori. I called up having never been before and she was able to get me in the same day. She was a real professional and did a great job on my hair even though I did a horrible job explaining what I wanted. The space is nice and the prices are reasonable. I'll definitely go back to Lori when I need to cut my hair again. read more

After more than seven years with the same hairdresser, I needed to see a new person -- and I found Lisa at Hip n Humble! And, as sad as I was to lose my previous hairdresser, I couldn't be happier about meeting Lisa. It is so nice to have someone who truly listens to what you want, helps you get the same results at home, and is genuinely a nice person. The salon is clean, cute, and fun. Everyone is great to talk to. I normally call and get an appointment right away -- which is amazing! And, I laugh the whole time I'm in the chair! I highly recommend Lisa and her team! Thanks Lisa!!! read more

I visited this salon this summer, as a bridesmaid in a wedding party of 5 or 6. Can honestly say I will never be going back. Very unprofessional atmosphere. I think they just came up with prices based on our looks? I'm not sure but one girls hair took 45 minutes and she was charged 35.00 and mine was last (rushed), took less than 20 minutes and I payed 65? Not to mention she was very rude, acting like she had other things to do. The bridal party talked about it as a group and we were all disappointed. Its too bad because they did a very nice job on the hair just will never be going back due to the service. read more

i made a last minute appointment with lori, I'm a transplant to area and was very nervous because well i like my hair a lot and usually my daughter who is a stylist and understands me is not around, my experience here was that i was completely put at ease, my highlights and cut were beautiful, and I'm so glad to have found the stylist and salon read more

I have such a bone to pick with this shop. How the heck does it show the prices to be moderate yet for a cut and color my teen daughter was charged 180$ ? I could not believe my ears when my daughter told me how much. I'm sorry but there is nothing in this town that says high end shop. And no the work done was not worth the cost, my daughter had worked hard for her money saving for her trip to Canada to see her sister to have these folks take money she had not plans on paying. If you call around most shops in town run from low cost to medium and will tell you the cost when asked. When she called Hip n Humble she was told that they do not do over the phone pricing and that she would have to come in and it would be discussed. So she schedules and shows for her appointment. For whatever reason she did not ask the cost but the stylist did not even attempt to tell her the cost for a cut a color. I understand that a regular client would know what they are in for. As a new client would it not be good business to be up front with prices when told of what is wanted? What would of happened had my daughter not walked in with that much cash, believing that it was gonna about 100 to 120 after pricing all the other shops in town? I will never give such a business a positive rating. Way to get all that you can out of this town ladies. read more
