Attitudes matter, and lindsey should adjust hers! I made an appt for my 4 year old to get her long hair cut into a bob for the summer. We made my appt weeks in advance, and got a call THE DAY BEFORE and was told my appt needed to be reschedule due to a "court date".....Right? you just found about your court date??? Sounds like a last minute excuse to me.. You never asked when it would be convenient for me to come back in.. you talked to my husband and gave me an early morning appt on Saturday. I work myself little lady, and my days start at 5am. I did not want to wake up early on my day off for a haircut! This is why I scheduled my appt for a FRIDAY afternoon WEEKS in advance!!! We all have busy schedules, and things we are juggling, life is not just about you and your "court date". Miscommunication between my husband and myself, and I showed up 15 minutes late. I was rudely greeted at the door (the close sign was still up) by Lindsey and was told,"You are 15 minutes late, my next appt will be here in 20 minutes, I can't see you." I reminded her she cancelled my appt with MY HUSBAND, NOT ME... and how do you have 20 minutes until your next appt, but no time to do a child's haircut?? My guess was someone still needed to do her makeup... Seriously! She's been like this for years, will come to work to do her hair and makeup.. that's fine, what ever... but don't tell me you don't have time to fix a mess you created!! If you want to avoid gossip, drama, and the most pretentious salon owner in Lewis County, avoid this place... There must be a reason why there is always "looking for stylist" in her window! High staff turn over doesn't reflect well on an owner... We found an alternative, my 4 year old is rocking a bob, and we won't be back! (I work in the medical field, and my entire day is appointment based... If we drop the ball, then we make it work! No break, short lunch.. we get it done... Not take an additional 20 minutes to stare in the mirror. You are not that important girl! Get over yourself!)

First thing, she is highly responsive each time I reach out to her- I've never had to wait months for an appointment, and if it's a question/comment/concern with my extensions, she will work me in as soon as 24-hour notice. Mika is very knowledgeable about extensions, and her experience and expertise really shows. My extensions feel tight (but not too tight!) and anchored very well with clean sections. One of my favorite things about Mika and Off the Rail Salon is that she is real- She never tries to sugar-coat anything or promise unrealistic results. She will give clear specifics of what she can do during your appointment and will be sure to set your next appointment at the end of service to ensure your ultimate desired result and overall happiness with your hair (color, cut, or both). Mika has a great balance between maintaining professionalism while creating a space where I feel very comfortable in being myself and feel relaxed being around someone who is an honest, genuinely kind human such as Mika. Lastly, her pricing is unbeatable- incredible fair pricing for every service she offers. Overall, I give Mika and Off the Rails Salon a 5/5, highly recommend to others, and will continue doing business with them.

I did my scheduling and my consultation through the owner, and I sent him a picture, and we had a ver detailed conversation on what i wanted. The day before my appointment, I got a text message from the hairdresser saying she was overbooked because the scheduler didn't understand what I needed and didn't book enough time for my appointment and the previous appointment. The hairdresser had gotten sick, and I understand that we are all human. She did offer me other days and times, but as I had scheduled out 3 weeks in advance and recently started a new job. None of our schedules matched since I made the appointment with the owner, I sent him a message letting him know how disappointed I was because I was really looking forward to trying his salon. He instantly sent me back a message telling me that this was an errand that he would be calling me in just a few minutes after 3 hours of waiting for his phone. Call and send another message saying that I have canceled my appointment and was very disappointed in the interactions. I've had with this salon. He calls me. And tries to schedule an appointment. I offered him the only day I had off. To come in anytime he needed that didn't work with their scheduling. He asked if maybe I could come in later the same day I told him that I had a family dinner and then he asked me to come in the next weekend, which was my grandson's birthday. His response was anytime that day at work. I informed him that neither one of those days worked for me. As he kept going through the calendar and I let him know I worked 2 jobs, and that's part of my problem. That's why I scheduled my appointment so far in advance. His only other option was to make me wait until the middle of July... More than another month. I am very disappointed in the actions of the salon.
