Granted, you could probably get two very full tubs of laundry in the machine, but $12 is still higher than any other laundromat in the area. The coin exchange machine at this laundry facility appears to be inaccurate. We have used the machine many times to obtain coins for the washing machines and dryers, and previously we did not count the coins after making exchanges. However, we recently noticed that we were consistently short on coins even though the amount we exchanged should have been sufficient. After checking more carefully, we found that the machine does not provide the correct amount. For example, when exchanging $5, it only dispenses about $4.50 in coins, and when exchanging $20, it only dispenses about $18.50. This discrepancy is very concerning and should be addressed as soon as possible. If this issue continues, it may lead to formal complaints or further action. read more

And if you select hot water the machine will go through the hole cycle with no to drops of water. Everything will be as dirty as you started. Whoever owns this laundromat obviously doesn't really care about their laundromat. Let's just start there. Hardly any of the washing machines or dryers work. There are two rooms and most of the washers and dryers do not work. It's been like this for almost a year. I go there to wash stuff from after camping, or a comforter, or small washable rug and it seems like it's gotten worse? Not sure how that's possible, but the prices go up, the service is bad and there's hardly any washers or dryers that work at this very large laundromat. There are plenty of other laundromats nearby. My advice is to go somewhere else and help put this laundromat - and whoever owns it - out of its misery. read more

Their hours are advertised as closing at 11PM everyday, but the day I decided to wash clothes in the evening and came back around 10:30 PM, they decided to close early--even though there is clearly two dryer machines full of my laundry!! You can even see the filled dryer machine from outside of the store. If this establishment's goal was to lose customers, then they most definitely achieved it. If you work at a laundromat PLEASE check if there clothes still in the machines because that means there are still customers finishing up their laundry. As for the machines, don't even bother going if you don't have the PayRange app. Almost half of the machines were "out of order" and the other half were old and musty. And if you're lucky enough, you could find only a few machines that accepts coins. This evening, a few other customers approached me asking if I had change for some dollars because the store's change machine broke. This is my local laundromat, I come here time to time. In the few times that I have been here I have encountered an incident every time. Some of the issues are as follows: Place is not well kept and it's dirty. Machines are also dirty and old. Service machines such as coin dispensers and soaps are not in operating conditions. Place does not have a good air circulation system and was humid and like a sauna during summer above 100 degree temperatures. Owner arguing and fighting with people as other people witness it. Personal experience involving me , would be two times I left the laundry to come right back in less than 15 mins and one the woman that works there and other time the man that works there had touched my clothes and moved it. When I asked them nicely the woman replied that although there are many dryers were available at the time they wanted to use that specific one and she said if you don't like it don't come! Then continued loudly in Spanish to probably tell me bad words. When asked for owner's contact number I was provided with the wrong contact information. All her replies were in a rude manner although I kept my composure. It's a shame to have such businesses in the neighborhood that don't respect their customers I will take my business elc where and report to correct agency. I used to use this facility many years ago as it was convenient location but even then it sucked nothing is ever working there, I go back on occasions to see if it's changed or been updated only to find it's just the same as always so many dryers and washing machines out of service ! 3 stars for helpful employee but laundry dirty and just about all machines broken. They require you to pay by pay range. This company requires a minimum of 25.00 to load card. I didn't use it all and have 15.00 left on card and they refuse to refund me. So be prepared you won't get money back if you have funds left on card. It's only 15.00 to me but if they do this to everyone it's quite a money maker. I will never be hooked into using pay range again read more

The absolute worst laundermat. At least half of the machines are out of order. Their largest washing machine is not so large, and they charge $8.50. Compared to the Mesa spot, their large would wash twice what I could do here for $8.00, and it washesfor about 45 minutes. Here you get 23 minutes even though the sign says 30. Also, they force you to pay by cc on your phone, no coins. Or the attendant can set it up for you, which is slow. And if there isn't one I guess you're stuck. If you're looking to do laundry in Goleta, CA, Lucky Coin is good as any other Laundry place. I'm sure why it's called Lucky Coin. I didn't get a wash for free nor did the change machine give me any extra quarters. The wash is a little spendy but the dryer is a great deal. There is no free WiFi but there's plenty of places to sit inside and outside with places to eat and visit within walking distance. I used two washers both starting at one time. One was humming and the countdown was working, the other was not and trying to find someone to help was not easy. Luckily for me I speak Spanish, French, and Chinese so when I did find an employee I was able to get some " manual " assistance. The lady was quick to massage the tub and get it going but it put me behind in time. It happened two more times and even though I watched what she did, my replication clearly did not have the magic that she had in her hands. So, keep an eye on the timer and if it gets stuck, go find the lady with the blue apron to get your fix your load. For a total of six bucks, I was able to do two washes and two dryer cycles and considering that I was just outside of Santa Barbara, California, it was a bargain. read more

I felt incredibly overwhelmed by all the machines and the sheer variety of options. The employee here didn't have the best English (perhaps none at all, I don't remember) but he was incredible helpful. The larger machines are good for heavier items like blankets while the smaller machines are for clothes. The dryer is some crazy good high powered stuff. I believe the name lucky laundry came from the fact that you're lucky if you can get your laundry done. They have about 70 washers but only about 20 are operational. Same with the driers. Yes there are several out of order machines here and there, but what do you expect when it's located near a college town with crappy landlords that don't fix our washing and dryer machines? The ones that do work, work very well. I recommend getting the PayRange app and pay with your phone. You earn credits this way and if the machine doesn't work, they refund you if you report the problem - which only took 30 seconds to do with the app. I got my refund within 30 minutes. It's super efficient. This one is located right next to a coffee shop so I didn't mind waiting at all -- we had 2 large loads and were done in less than an hour. Will I come back? I am so glad that I (in my desperation) tried out Lucky Coin. I went there on a Sunday night, which is the busiest time you can go, and I was still able to grab several washers. The wash is a bit spendy ($2.25) but I love that the dryers were only 25 cents. That way, I didn't feel guilty when I wanted to dry my towels to a crisp. The machines were very clean and there was an employee there walking around and cleaning things. He was incredibly friendly and having him there made me feel a lot better.
