How did I immediately know their quality was still great? Their line never goes down. I ordered the cortado, the Kentucky Smoke, and a sausage and cheese kolache. Today, I was in the area so stopped in. No matter where I go in San Antonio, to get a latte, light ice never means a partially empty cup. Usually, coffee place staff will ask if you want to fill the cup and give a heads up there's an up charge or just add more milk without issue. $10 for a latte is pricey to begin with and on top of it? 1/4 is empty. My takeaway is $10= 1/2 cup of ice and the rest latte. Coffee is good, but taking everything into consideration, not worth revisiting.

Third Coast has become my 'daily driver' for espresso, as their beans offer the best combination of quality, value, and service. El Guapo has been the top choice so far with classic caramel, chocolate notes and a nice syrupy mouthfeel. Every bag has been consistently-roasted and quick to dial-in. Third Coast has so far resisted the insane shrinkflation that has affected many coffee options. As a comparison, local roaster Greater Goods is nearly 2x more expensive, and Third Coast is better. This is the best value in high quality espresso in Austin...and maybe across the US. Highly-recommended!
