How did I immediately know their quality was still great? Their line never goes down. I ordered the cortado, the Kentucky Smoke, and a sausage and cheese kolache. The cortado was pretty much perfect - one of the best in the city. The Kentucky Smoke was also a delight. It's not too sweet, so if you want to change up your latte but not go tooth-achingly sweet, this flavor is a must. The kolache was great. It had croissant-like dough, was salty in the best ways, and overall very satisfying. Staff continues to be unfailingly nice. I was tempted to buy a bag of coffee, but since I haven't been making much coffee at home, I decided another time. Estate Coffee is one of those shops you are okay making the drive to, even if they're on the other side of the city. A San Antonio must-visit!

In one spot you'll find an out of place yet placed chandelier. Be sure to look around because the walls are painted with vibrant colors, uniques images on the wall, and mismatched furniture. Somehow the space works. It's inviting and memorable. After exploring the inside go check out their garden area. I was in awe by the large heavy antique iron door. I examined the door daydreaming of the stories it could tell. I found the barista to be quirky and fun. He has a lot of knowledge about coffee, suggested some other local coffee shops, and even gave us a brief rundown of the coffee scene and its history in San Antonio. Besides being easy going and laid back, the barista made a fantastic cortado in the most unique vessel I have ever drank a cortado from; a 4-ounce mini quilted Ball jar. What a brilliant and creative way to serve a cortado. It's a fool's proof way to ensure the a perfect milk to espresso ratio.
