They specialize in small tapas style plates, so if you are coming with a group you can order a couple of items to share. They also have a few excellent main dishes, but my favorite is the steak. From the smaller plates I think I've tried almost everything and there hasn't been one I didn't love. However the hummus is a must and the feta cheese is always a winner when I bring new people to Ladino. The staff here is outstanding! The level of service they offer is unbelievable. They truly make sure you have an outstanding experience during your visit, and that level of service is hard to find. On a day when the restaurant had only two occupied tables, it was difficult to understand why our food took approximately 45 minutes to arrive. Unfortunately, the delay became more understandable when we discovered our order had been swapped with the other table's. Mistakes happen, but what followed was far more frustrating than the error itself. When we politely pointed out that our order was incorrect, the staff argued with us and insisted that the dish matched the menu description. In doing so, they made claims about menu items that were simply untrue. Rather than listening to customer feedback or attempting to resolve the issue, the staff became defensive and offered no meaningful effort to correct the mistake or improve the experience. We then asked to speak to the manager and that took another 10-15 minutes for her to simply come and remove our plates from the table. As for the food, it was acceptable at best. Nothing was particularly memorable, and certainly nothing justified the premium pricing. For the quality delivered, the menu feels significantly overpriced. Good restaurants are often judged not by whether mistakes occur, but by how they respond when they do. I was hoping for it to be spicy but it was not. For dessert, I gad panna cotta and it was a great ending. Not too sweet, but the berries made up for that. The lavender meringue bites had a great crunch. Our server (Maya) was excellent. She was so friendly and helpful. Finally, the decor is unmatched anywhere.
