Chill bar. Atmosphere is loud bar atmosphere. I couldn't hear shit lol, but that's a bar for ya. Service was good. Didn't use the restroom.

Enzo approves. He minds his manners before they serve him. Thanks again Lucky 13 & Al for all the hospitality!

The people are strong just like the drinks. The bartenders are awesome and the vibes are great! Always good energy and good times. Never know what to expect when I head to lucky. My fur baby Enzo is a local favorite. Enjoy a good time at lucky 13, stay thirsty my friends!

Bartender was rude. On her phone and talking to the other bartender made me feel like I was low on her priority list. She asked me what I wanted and as I was trying to tell her they continued to talk over me. When I did order and asked for a lime with my drink, she didn't give me one. So I asked again, she sighed and then put an old slimy discolored lime on my glass. Gross!!! Feeling like I was just going to get more attitude if I complained, I took my slimy lime with me and took a seat outside that was swarming with flies.

We went by this place for the first time on Saturday. We really enjoyed hanging out on the patio and having a few drinks. The inside of the bar does get very crowded the later it gets.

Don't go to this bar! They are the worst and don't care about their customers safety. I slipped on their wet floor going to the bathroom to check up on my sister. After I fell, I went to sit down and this white dude with a striped shirt (who was working tonight) and the security had the audacity to just come and tell me that I needed to leave. Like what?! Who does that!?! They didn't even bother to check if I was okay they just wanted to kick me out. How is it my fault I fell because y'all don't keep the floors dry. I scrapped my knee (see pic) plus it's hurts to walk and they didn't even ask me if I was okay. They were more concerned about kicking me than my well being or even offered me a bandaid. Thank god there was some nice people who helped me up. Fck this place never coming here again!

Go grab some food from Scolari's and come to Lucky 13 to eat and drink at! They have lots of tables and seating, which is awesome. I got a hazy IPA and it was delicious, but I'll need to order a non-beer drink next time if I'm eating burger and fries too cause I was so bloated!! They have some games in the back, including one pool table and two skeeball machines. We didn't realize there was a waiting list on the wall (until someone told us) and accidentally cut some people, since we swooped the pool table when it seemed like it was unoccupied. It's a smaller pool table than the standard size, yet I still didn't play too well haha! Appreciate that the people there were chill.

Small and fun little dive bar located in Alameda. And they have a pretty good selection of beers on draft as well as some bourbon. I've always thought that the folks here were efficient and friendly. This place also has kind of a punk rock vibe to it (if I remember correctly). Over the years, I've had a few friends that lived in Alameda and this was our go to spot on. We wanted to catch up while I was in town. The drinks here are reasonably priced and especially during the weekdays, it's pretty chill and not too crazy. Perfect for a place to catch up. Definitely would come back or recommend as a place where you can just grab beers or drinks and catch up with friends in a casual setting.

The creativity of Lucky 13 Alameda during the Covid 19 lockdown

I just left a review for Scolari's so I'm leaving a review for the Lucky 13 Alameda. I'm not much of a bar person, but I absolutely enjoy the Lucky 13 Alameda. For me, I enjoy the bartenders and the casualness of everyone I've ever met there. When I've just stopped in because I've ordered food next-door at Scolari's, and I have my dog with me, there is never an issue. They actually have water out in the back for dogs. During that type of a visit, I've seen other people sitting at the bar and their dogs are near their stool and there has never been a dog issue ever! I really don't drink past beer but when I'm enjoying time with my friends and then suddenly we get hungry of course we reach for the Scolari's menu which they keep at the bar. So not only is it a great ambience and experience. You also have great food! Lastly, the other thing I think that is super cool is once you wind down and you're ready to go home the bartender has to go containers along with the napkins behind the bar area so I don't have to go next-door. So it's the combination of the two the Lucky 13 Alameda with Scolari's delivering to that bar makes a perfect afternoon or evening with my friends. Both of these Alameda businesses were featured on check please! A couple of years apart which when you combine them together, it's pretty darn perfect.

Old fashioned with no orange peel or luxardo cherry

The dive bar scene is not for everyone. It is definitely not for me, but if I end up in one like I did here, I can tolerate it. Putting the usual dive bar vibe aside, this one was less than appealing for the following reasons and why I find it deserving of a poor rating. 1. This is the first time I've ever been served an old fashioned with NO orange peel and NO cherry! 2. It smelled like cigarettes, body odor, old beer. It was disgusting 3. There was a cloud of bugs circling over some of the tables.

    6/20/22 Taking Credit/Debit again, thanks.

Quality/Quantity - 3 stars overall for quality. I prefer my beer colder. Good selection on tap. Used to be cash only, but now you can use your card for $20+ purchases. Atmosphere - Indoor/outdoor seating. Sat outside, dog friendly and smoke filled. I grew up when there was NO such thing as a smoking section. Pool table and some other games. Street parking, no problem during the late night. Interesting decor throughout, including in the men's restroom. 5 stars for the following: Open 7 days a week from noon until 2am. One of the few places open late on the island, thank you. And open late on a Monday!! We actually tried to get food at Scolari's, which Dan owns also, but they were closed when we finally got the munchies. Walked over to La Penca Azul, which used to open until late night, but they were closed also. So we were "forced" to come back to have a liquid late night dinner... What is happening to the night life on the island??? Service - Only 1 employee or owner? So I was patient and understanding. Plus we almost closed the bar... Price - $9 for each round of beer and coke + a generous tip. Owner Comment - Congrats to Dan on all your success at Lucky 13 and to all your other businesses. You are a very successful entrepreneur! Scolaris, Marley G's Pizzeria, The Benton, Lucky 13 Tattoos, Etc.

It's a longtime local favorite of mine and my go-to spot for meeting up with friends--equal parts escape and comfort. The cocktail menu is impressively deep, full of beautifully crafted, fancy tiki drinks that practically beg to be explored, and so far every single one I've tried has been delicious (dangerously so). Inside, the bar nails the classic tiki vibe--warm, immersive, and transportive--while the outdoor patio offers a lovely, relaxed option with plenty of extra seating on warm days. It's the kind of place where you can linger, laugh, and lose track of time. The staff deserve a special shout-out: genuinely friendly, attentive, and accommodating, which only adds to the overall experience. A quick pro tip: if you're planning to stop by during popular after-work hours, definitely make a reservation--it fills up for good reason. The food menu is on the smaller side, but the bites are tasty and thoughtfully done, perfect for sharing alongside a round (or two) of cocktails. All in all, Forbidden Island is a standout spot that keeps me coming back again and again.

I always enjoy this spot every time i visit! i'm so glad this place is in alameda…read more The happy hour menu is great, from drinks to food. I like the crispiness of the wings with the sauces as well. They actually gave us the wrong order, but we were already eating so they ended up giving us our right order still. The flat bread could be a bit more crispier with the crust. but the flavor was there! Now to the drinks, i very much appreciate their seasonal drinks. I love when a place offers this because it gives the customers something else to look forward going back to. So i can't wait what they have during the holiday season. The ghost rider was such a special drink, i was in flavor heaven. it had matcha, coconut and lychee i think and it was just wow! If you're looking for a place for happy hour, this is it. We sat outside by the fire pit, which made it even better. The bartender had great energy and was definitely a highlight of the night. There were a few birthday celebrations going on, and he kept the energy up and made it feel lively. We ordered two rounds of the "Man at the Garden." The drink is aesthetically pleasing, but the taste was just okay--nothing special. The servers were nice, but service was a bit slow. We were left unattended long enough for the ice in our second round to melt, which was a little disappointing. We wanted to try another drink, but after waiting so long, we ended up just being ready to leave. Overall, I'd still give Lemon Drop another chance because the vibe and atmosphere were really nice.

For food, I ordered the chips and salsa and guac. The guac was very good, it tasted fresh and was a good size portion. The salsa was really good, it was chipotle tasting but had a lime tanginess to it that was unique and refreshing. They were generous with the portion of chips and the chips were thick and crispy and seasoned well with just a little bit of salt. I also ordered the impossible taquitos which came with guac, sour cream, and salsa on top. The presentation was beautiful and the food came out fast but the taste was a bit weird, it wasn't bad but it just tasted like burger meat in a taquito. I really appreciate that they offered a meat alternative but wish it tasted better, like maybe use potatoes instead of fake meat, or use fake chorizo over a burger seasoning. It would also be nice if there was a vegan version not just a vegetarian version. Despite my critiques of the food, I have no critiques for the service and atmosphere! My server was phenomenal and attentive and checked in often!
