    Coconut latte
    Anita W.

I decided to stop here and use my first drink coupon for $1.99 to get an iced coconut latte after hearing others talk about this chain. I was on the way to Hudson Yards so figured a coffee would be a good pick me up as I shopped. This location is in the lobby of what looks like an office building. There is plenty of seating and it's very clean and modern looking. I placed my order on the app, which was fairly easy to use and my order was ready when I arrived. The only reason for 4 stars is because of the pickup process. I arrived and told the two baristas/workers my name and pointed to the drink on the counter. They told me I had to scan my QR code, i guess to "prove" it was my order and for their system to mark it as picked up. I had to fumble to find it as it was my first time ordering and didn't realize this was the process. It seemed quite cumbersome. On one hand, I get that people take drinks all the time that isn't theirs and the stores probably wants a system that can track orders, but this just seemed time consuming, especially on busy days or during rush hour (I was the only order at that time so I didn't mind that I took a bit to find the QR code). I get other places also have a system - like McDonald's they would often times ask you to show your order with order number on your phone when you picked up, but that page is very prominently displayed on the homepage of your McDonald's app. I just open it and it's right there. The QR code wasn't. The drink itself wasn't bad especially for the price and generally how much coffee/espresso drinks have gone up in the past few years.

Upon arrival we noticed the difference in crowds. Not as busy and packed sidewalks. Also it was a lot cleaner than Chinatown. Since we just ate at C-Town, it was time to find a good dessert place in K-Town. So we walked and we walked until I saw a banner sign showing shaved ice desserts. Then I noticed the name of the business is Grace Street. How fitting, because that is my wife's name. So we went in and what caught my eye was a mango shaved ice with mangoes, mochi, strawberries, and condensed milk, however I was over ruled by my wife and we went with the black sesame and mochi and condensed milk. It also had red bean, but that had to be on the side, since that gives me gout. Such nice staff taking orders and we went into the dining area to find a seat. What a large spacious area with many tables. Our order came out and it looked so good. The black sesame shaved ice or snow as it's also referred to as, was perfectly sweetened by the condensed milk and the chewy mochi. Definitely cleaned my pallet from our Chinese lunch and it helped cool me down from the New York heat. We got water, but there was no ice offered, so I asked one of the workers and he was kind enough to get me some. We are through that dessert like, if we didn't finish it fast, it was going to melt. We did not give it a chance to melt one bit. The staff here are efficient, as they saw we were done, they asked to clear our dessert bowl away. It was a nice experience even if it was just dessert. They definitely had more dessert options to offer, but i

I really enjoyed their matcha basque cheesecake with a prominent, deep matcha flavor. The texture was pretty smooth and loved how it wasn't too sweet. The Ho-Dduk has the lovely combo of sweet brown sugar/caramel flavor and creamy vanilla ice cream. When its hot, the dough is super chewy on the inside and slightly crispy on the outside. The mango bingsoo had a good mango flavor; wasn't too tangy nor too sweet. Mangoes were fresh for the season. The elixir or the matcha bingsoo was solid too, but I still preferred the strong matcha flavors from the cheesecake. Lines sometimes are long but it also moves fast! After ordering, you get a buzzer that will tell you when your desserts are ready. Lots of seating options from tables to high tops.

We worked with Eric via email and he was great managing and making sure everything was settled ahead of the event. On the day of our lunch, we arrived around 20 minutes early and the table was already set up. We had two servers throughout the meal and they were lovely. They made sure everything was set up and we had everything we needed. For a large group reservation, they have a $60 minimum and you order everything ahead of time. (The afternoon tea set is mandatory for everyone to get). We had the afternoon tea set, caprese tarts and strawberry parfait for all attendees. The food was filling and tasty. Tea is always so good as well (I always get my Rose Lovers Milk Tea!) All in all, a great option for a group reservation in the city!

We got the Ube Crepe Cake and Chocolate Lava Cake. The size of both were the perfect amount since we just wanted something small to end the night. The ube crepe cake was really light and creamy. The ube flavor was pretty subtle, and I mostly tasted the cream. It's a perfect light dessert, but I would've liked the ube flavor to be stronger. The chocolate lava cake was super rich and decadent but also really delicious. I feel like it kinda battled with the ube crepe cake since they're total opposites. The staff were friendly. The interior was really cute and had a relaxing type of atmosphere that made it great for a nice place to sit, chat, and have dessert.
