3 stars for purely just the ambiance. Stunning cafe and so much seating. A great place to go if you're catching up with a friend or want to get work done. However, zero stars for the viral fruit pastries they sell. I try not to give any place a bad review but they were just not good at all. Every pastry was the same, a very gluey and gelatinous mold filled with an underwhelming fruit center. Also, other cafes that execute the fruit pastries very well actually sell it cheaper than Moka&Co. Coffee was ok at this location not the best compared to the Astoria location. My word of advice is for them to either take the fruit pastries off their menu or go back to the drawing board. A Yemeni coffee shop should have amazing coffee and great bites, unfortunately this location need to work on that. read more

Didn't like the coffee. I tried the Mokamo and did not like it at all. It was 100% on me for trying something new instead of sticking to what I know . I love coffee, just was not a fan of this particular flavor. My husband got the hot chocolate and thought it was okay. Nothing crazy, just hot chocolate. Cute, cozy spot. However- My ear muffs were taken here. I left them on the table and walked to the corner then realized I left them and walked right back in. I wasn't even gone for 3 minutes and they were already gone. Staff said they saw nothing even though the place is super tiny, it was empty and were sitting right in the front. The ambiance is nice but if you're getting takeout or just popping in to recharge for a few minutes I'd recommend going elsewhere. I ordered a matcha latte. There were no prices listed and I was surprised when it rang up as $11. I wasn't given the option to add a tip and wasn't offered a receipt so I was even more surprised when the credit card charge was $13.45. I could have gotten that size matcha latte at Starbucks for half the price. If you're meeting someone here and planning to stay awhile it may be worth the upcharge but otherwise this is overpriced. read more

I love and frequent their location on the UWS so I was excited to this location. It's very spacious for a NY coffee shop and they have a 2nd level with more seating. I got their date latte which was good and a little sweet. However, the staff was a bit rude and argumentative, specifically when we wanted to check out the seating on their second floor despite it being completely open so I was a bit put off by this. Something new is brewing here! The interior of this gorgeous space is shiny, well laid out, boosting high ceilings, with an impressive display of equipment. There was a lovely sense of serenity within the place. The first time I was here, I decided to order one of the traditional Yemeni lattes: Maleki. I also had the Dulce de Leche Coconut Croissant. The Maleki was aromatic, milky, smooth, and rich, blended with ginger, coffee husks, honey, cardamom, milk, along with cinnamon. Each spice was discernible and worked beautifully together. The Croissant was indulgent and sweet, though a bit on the dry side. Finally stopped by another time to try the Dubai Chocolate Latte, which was quite expensive at over $13, but totally worth it! There was a thick yummy chocolate shell casing surrounding the plastic cup, strong taste of coffee mixed with plenty of pure pistachio flavor, along with tasty kunafa and rich foam on top. This beverage was decadent, sweet, and irresistibly creamy. Service was friendly and staff know the menu well. Talk about a sugar rush. All the pastries are really pretty but not well balanced. Everything I've had has been very sweet. This includes the lattes. The inside is really nice and it's a great place to spend time but it seems more like a place to come and take pics than to enjoy the food. read more

Went at 9:25am, ordered and got my food within 5 minutes. Only 3 other people in the café. Super pricey though. The chicken puff pastry label was out but there weren't any, and the pistachio croissants were actually above it. A couple other croissants were mislabeled too. Wish I could've tried the puff pastry! Music reminded me of walking through Disneyland. Got an iced pistachio matcha latte with an espresso shot and honestly, it was really good even for me (a non-coffee drinker). The pistachio totally masked the coffee taste. Also had the iced strawberry matcha latte and loved it as it didn't taste powdery at all. The Zaatar cheese croissant lowkey reminded me of that complimentary bread you get at Italian restaurants that you just can't stop eating. The biscoff milk cupcake was on point too...not overly sweet and held together well. I'd definitely come back and recommend it, but... it's expensive. Saw the sign for Pina colada matcha so I went in to try it and it didnt have any Pina colada flavor and it was $11 plus they charge a fee for using a card which is not posted or told about before purchase. This Yemeni coffee place just opened up not long ago like a few weeks ago and it is very big and spacious inside. Very fancy and I do believe the special drinks are a bit on a pricier end but they are very tasty. I came in to get the Dubai chocolate latte but then it was sold out due to popular demand so that was a bummer! I had to resort to the pistachio latte, which tasted pretty good too! I love pistachio! I had to mix the pistachio sauce and bits and pieces at the bottom of the cup with the espresso when I first got it. They don't mix it for you. The coffee is either served in one size for to go or dine in. You are to get one of those fobs that tell you when you're drunk is ready for pick up. There's also free WiFi in the whole place. There is a second level but I never got to go upstairs. There is a lot of expensive high tech equipment in the place by the entrance making it very luxurious. There is also a section in the middle of the place that has coffee beans for sampling. There's also nice instrumental Yemeni music playing that feels like you're in Yemen or a movie. It is very pleasing and calming. There is plenty of booths, tables, and chairs for dine in. I will definitely come back for the desserts. They got the milk chocolate and white Dubai chocolate. Stopped by Moka & Co at night and was surprised by how quiet it was for a Midtown spot--huge space but low-key vibes. The upstairs area looks nice but is reserved for events, so don't plan on escaping up there with your laptop. I got the Dubai chocolate latte, and... it was fine. I really wanted to love this place, and at first glance, it made me think I would. The decor is lovely, perfectly curated for a coffee shop, and the pastries and cake look incredibly delicious. That's exactly why I bought two desserts, fully expecting them to deliver. I didn't try the drinks. Reality check: $29.40 for two desserts at a coffee shop in Midtown is wild, especially when there are no prices displayed. I'm not frugal with food, but this one was disappointing. The disappointment continued with the to go packaging: basic deli style plastic containers and one container was too big for the bag I was given. For a space this polished and at that price point, I expected much more. At $12 and $15 per dessert, I anticipated chef level quality and thoughtful presentation. Unfortunately, that wasn't the case. The tiramisu cup was just okay, nothing memorable, and the chocolate notes you expect from tiramisu were barely there. The mocca (spelled this way on the receipt) chocolate mouse cake was also underwhelming and had a flavor profile that did not resemble classic chocolate. Not bad enough to complain about, but not something I'd order again. Because of this experience, I don't think I'll be back to try the drinks. I'd rather not spend around $10 and leave wishing I had gone to Starbucks instead. If you're coming strictly for aesthetic photos, this is your spot. I tried a zaatar croissant here. I liked the flavor and enjoyed the subtle flavor without the pastry feeling too heavy or too oily/rich. I wish it was spread more evenly though rather than just at the base of the pastry. I think this place is absurdly expensive, even for midtown Manhattan. Most coffees and teas were $9-10 pre tax/tip. Croissant was $8. The spot is clean and decent for studying and spending time in. If you take advantage of dining in, then I think the high price is slightly more justified. Location is also pretty convenient being right next to Penn, although even warming up a croissant took 10 minutes so they're pretty slow. read more

And the woman at the counter literally put it into a flimsy plastic container on its side with it rolling around. And i told her "i'm going to give that to someone" and she says its okay. Bro. Its literally not okay. Its going to chip apart. It didn't even have the square base that they're usually attached to.
