My sandwich was phenomenal--fresh, delicious, and made to perfection. The potato salad was incredibly fresh and the perfect side. They're also the creators of the viral Italian meatball ice cream cone that was featured on the news, making this spot a true local gem. Whether you're stopping in for one of their famous creations or a classic sandwich, you won't be disappointed. I can't wait to come back! Metered parking only!

Fresh semolina hero hollowed out. The bread was so fresh and not soggy whatsoever. Then placed inside delicious, homemade meatballs, baked deli in the deli itself. I ate the sandwich in two settings. It was just as good the second time if not better. You can tell the sauce is homemade, not too wheat, but typical homemade sauce, a.k.a. gravy. The meatballs were tender, seasoned to perfection and did not fall apart. I just loved the whole presentation and the hero itself. Inside the deli, there are many Italian delicacies and hot food available for takeout. They also have so many good cold cuts in the case by the pound. I sat out in front. There is a couple of seats and a table.. Great service and experience!

The interior of Joe's is awesome, with the walls stocked with a great supply of Italian cooking fare. As you journey towards the deli counter you're immediately greeted with an offer to sample the fresh, house made mozzarella. Captain obvious pro tip: SAMPLE THE MOZZ To put it plainly, this was the best mozzarella I have ever had in my life, and I am someone who enjoys his mozz. It had a delicious milky flavor, was extremely smooth, and had a wonderful salt profile that took it to another level. It was truly amazing. I could go on about it forever, but in the essence of time... Our intent was to order 2 chicken parm heroes, but the man at the counter who gave us the mozz sample recommended the 'Brontese' and after reading the ingredients (Prosciutto diParma, fresh mozz, wild arugula, Sicilian pistachio cream, evoo, cracked pepper) I went for it. Needless to say it may have been the best deli sandwich I've ever had. The way the pistachio combined with the prosciutto and mozzarella-but didn't overtake it, was amazing. So to go along with my Brontese, we ordered a Chicken Parm, and a Bronx Bee (crispy chicken cutlet, hot honey drizzle, fresh mozz, sweet soppressata, hot cherry peppers, baby arugula) and loved them all. Outrageous value as sandwich prices are extremely reasonable. Awesome experience at Joe's. The staff was incredible...helpful, kind, and went out of their way to talk food with us. The location and atmosphere were perfect. And the food....you have to try it to believe it.

I wish they put more roasted peppers to give more flavor. There are several cutlets in that sandwich. Maybe trade one cutlet with more red peppers to add sweetness to the sandwich. I didn't taste any vinaigrette as described on the menu. I also had Con Ed: prosciutto, eggplant, arugula, mozzarella , sun dried tomatoes. This sandwich is tastier than DSNY. I recommend this one. The guy who helped me in my opinion was a bit pushy. He gave me a sample of cheese. It was really good. It reminded me of L'amuse Gouda. It's sweet, savory, like butterscotch. He tried to sell me a big piece. I asked for a small piece. He cut me almost a pound. I recommend to be more specific about the weight.

Our Italian-American family comes here specifically for the handmade fresh mozzarella, which didn't disappoint, until recently. My parents had a bad experience about a month ago. They ordered, had the guy behind the counter bag it, paid and left. When they got home, anticipating that fresh and mouth watering mozzarella taste, they realized it was definitely NOT fresh. Maybe a fluke. Because they have been churning out fresh mozz for years! My wife enjoys the seafood salad behind the glass at the Deli counter. She claims it's the best in Yonkers. One can also buy Italian pantry goods here like, dry pasta, canned Italian imports and glassed Italian imports. Also frozen raviolis/meat/cheese/lobster/mushroom flavored are in the fridge. It's a busy deli especially around the holidays, so I suggest planning ahead; think Christmas/Easter. It's not cheap! But it's mostly good and authentic Italian based deli. I ordered and Italian Combo and brought it home for our teenaged son (13) and he DEVOURED IT!! You will pay high prices. But you will receive good customer service and high quality prepared Italian deli specialities. Buon Apetito!

From the moment we walked in, it was all that I wanted- reminiscent of the Italian shops and delis my parents would take me to when I was a kid. The ambiance told me right away that the sandwich I sought (the 'Casa') was going to be good....as did the two guys in line ahead of me, one who went so far as to say it would be life changing. Service was great- super helpful and patient as we perused the counter. Wanting to be thorough () we ordered two Casa's....one on Ciabatta, and one on a hero. First off....both bread vehicles were incredible. The hero was crunchy on the outside, perfectly soft on the inside, while the ciabatta was perfectly thin (allowing you to fully enjoy all of the fresh, delicious ingredients), with a golden crust. Just perfect. Oh yeah- the ingredients.... The Casa is filled with perfectly sliced prosciutto, house made mozzarella, sun dried peppers, and balsamic glaze. The balsamic tied everything together beautifully and was a wonderful touch to the sandwich, while the mozz....well...I'll say this... If you ask 10 people on Arthur Ave who makes the best Mozzarella around, and a good number of people are going to tell you it's Casa Della. And I'm here to tell you that their Mozzarella is the truth. It's delicious, creamy, flavorful...it's the kind of stuff that will have you standing in front of the establishment, Casa in hand (and mouth) without a care in the world, or whether or not people are staring at you while you scarf or down. It's that good. Also- prices are extremely reasonable, and you receive a ton of value for your dollar. Casa Della Mozzarella is not just the Casa. They are a fully loaded market and deli, loaded with everything you need, whether for a quick lunch on the go, or to supply dinner or your fridge at home. Definitely a can't miss, must check out spot.

Fresh mozzarella with prosciutto and I believe Sun dried tomato. Very good. I have been visiting Bronx Little Italy for a couple of times but always saw a long line that made me hesitant to go in. This time I came early around 8:30 Am. I was the third person in line. The store is super small especially at the ordering area. There's only small space for one person to stand so it's very difficult to exit while there are people behind you. I highly recommend coming here early before the crowd.

Everything was fresh and looked appetizing. There is a station right when you enter with gloves for you to wear while you use the utensils to select your pickings from the hot and cold bar. The cold food was great, I really enjoyed the fresh mozzarella and the guacamole. The hot food was a bit overwhelming with all the different options. The chili was good. The fresh sautéed spinach was also very good. The meat options felt lack luster. They were mostly overcooked and didnt do anything for me. The sauces on the proteins were all tasty-- I'd prefer the vegetables and simple proteins which you can definitely find. You can find almost anything in this place! I am really interested in ordering a custom sandwich or flatbread at one of the counters I saw. Checking out, I thought it was alittle expensive for what I got BUT I think you can make it cheaper once you become experienced in knowing what you like/want. Im looking forward to changing my stars at a later visit but for now this is what I rate them.
